The experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Ultrasonic Medicine,Department of Biomedical Engineering,Tianjin Medical University between October 2007 and July 2008.Finite difference time domain method which was proposed by Morita to simulate nonlinear ultrasound transmission was applied together with bio-heat-transfers-equation to simulate temperature distribution in the focal region. The results show that when there was a blood vessel in tissue, the blood vessel temperature rise was lower than the surrounding tissue temperature rise. The highest temperature in the surrounding tissue and the focal region above 60 ℃ were decreased with increasing vessel diameter. The blood vessel diameters lead to great changes of temperature distribution. We should consider the influence of blood vessel diameters during high intensity focused ultrasound therapy to destroy tumors

Objective To investigate the influence of enteral nutrition (EN) emulsion containing slowrelease starch on blood sugar level in patients with craniocerebral injury. Methods Totally 120 patients with severe craniocerebral injury complicated with hyperglycemia joined this open study and were randomized into control group and study group. Study group was given EN emulsion containing slow-release starch ( Fresubin Diabetes)and control group was given routine EN emulsion ( Fresubin), both for 15 days. Fasting blood glucose (FBG),2-hour postprandial glucose (2hPG), and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) were examined before EN support and 7 days and 15 days after EN support. Results In the study group, the levels of 2hPG before EN support and on the seventh and fifteenth day after EN support were ( 12.26 ± 2. 36 )mmol/L, (9.76 ± 2.90 ) mmol/L, and (9.78 ± 1.86) mmol/L, respectively. The levels of 2hPG after EN support were both significantly lower than that before EN support (P < 0. 05). However, the levels of FBG and HbA1c in the study group were not significantly different before and after EN support ( P > 0. 05 ). In the control group, the levels of 2hPG on the seventh and fifteenth day after EN support were ( 11.70 ± 2. 80) mmol/L and ( 11.39 ± 2. 44 ) mmol/L, respectively, which were significantly higher than those in study group ( P = 0. 033, P = 0. 020). The levels of FBG and HbA1c werenot significantly different between the study group and the control group ( P > 0. 05 ). Conclusion EN emulsion containing slow-release starch may promote the control of blood sugar in patients with craniocerebral injury complicated with hyperglycemia and improve the level of postprandial blood sugar in those patients.

AIM:To design a signal collecting system of urethral internal pressure based on embedded microprocessor(ARM).METHODS:Based on ARM,the signal collecting module of urethral internal pressure and signal amplifier circuit were designed with sensor technology. The A/D transition circuit was improved by signal feedback theory to increase measurement accuracy. The software of sensor temperature drift was rectified by second linear interpolation so to enhance the accuracy of data collection.RESULTS:In simulated static urethral internal pressure collection, the signals of urethral internal pressure that sensor collected were corresponded with the location completely and send them into RAM of ARM for following analysis.CONCLUSION:The ARM-based signal collecting system of urethral internal pressure has simple circuit, reliability, lower power consumption, high precision and strong spot data analysis.

Objective To investigate the effects of acupoint therapy on inflammatory factors and its clini-cal efficacy in relieving bronchial asthma. Methods Selected patients with bronchial asthma which was in remis-sion were randomly divided into a treatment group that was treated with acupoint therapy and a control group that was given Seretide. Each group had 30 cases. The treatment period was 4 weeks. Both groups were evaluated in terms of Asthma Control Test ( ACT) scores and the serum content of interleukin-5 ( IL-5) and interleukin-10 ( IL-10) before and at one month ( short-term) , as well as three months after the end of the treatment ( long-term) . The asthma control situation ( fully controlled, partially controlled or uncontrolled) was evaluated. Results Before treatment the average ACT scores of the two groups were not significantly different. After the treatment both the short-term and long-term average ACT scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the con-trol group. The total effectiveness rate of asthma control in the treatment group in the short term ( 93%) was signifi-cantly higher than that in the control group ( 70%) . After the treatment the IL-5 and IL-10 levels in the treatment group were improved to a significantly greater extent than those in the control group. Conclusion Acupoint thera-py can reduce airway inflammation, control bronchial asthma symptoms and show good clinical efficacy, probably by regulating IL-5 and IL-10 levels.

In order to construct a novel multifunctional targeting nano-carrier based on pH-redox characteristics of tumor microenvironment, ketone bonds and disulfide bonds were bonded to the oligomeric hyaluronic acid (oHA) being sensitive to pH and the reduction environment. The chemical structure of oligomeric hyaluronic acid-8-mercaptomenthone 1,2-glycerolketal (oHMST) was characterized by 1H NMR,IR and ESI-MS.Curcuminloaded micelles were prepared by dialysis. The single factor investigation was carried out on the dosage form. Some properties, including particle size zeta potential, the morphology of micelles, and pH-sensitivity were studied. The materials were synthesized successfully. The micelles were spheric with a diameter of about 100 nm.The Zeta potential of the micelles was-(21.97 ± 1.08) mV.The in vitro test showed that oHMST carriers have good pH-sensitivity and redox-sensitivity.

Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy between proximal femoral biomimetic intramedullary nail (PFBN) and traditional proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nail (PFNA) in the treatment of senile osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures. Methods:The data were retrospectively analyzed of the 92 elderly patients with osteoporotic intertrochanteric fracture who had been treated at Department of Orthopedics, People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from April to October in 2021. According to their internal fixation methods, the patients were divided into 2 groups. In the PFBN group of 46 patients, there were 22 males and 24 females, with an age of (75.7±5.2) years and time from injury to operation of (3.1±0.4) d; in the PFNA group of 46 patients, there were 20 males and 26 females, with an age of (75.3±4.2) years and time from injury to operation of (3.3±0.5) d. Recorded were the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, hospital stay, fracture reduction quality, postoperative weight bearing time, hip function and complications at the last follow-up.Results:There was no significant difference in the preoperative general data between the 2 groups, showing comparability ( P>0.05). The operation time in the PFBN group was (47.3±11.4) min, significantly longer than that in the PFNA group [(39.2±15.3) min] ( P<0.05); the postoperative weight-bearing time in the former was (7.9±2.7) d, significantly shorter than that in the PFNA group [(21.2±5.7) d] ( P<0.05). There were no significant differences between the 2 groups in the intraoperative blood loss [(130.6±21.3) mL versus (123.5±17.8) mL], hospital stay [(4.2±1.6) d versus (4.6±2.1) d], the excellent and good rate of Francisco score [89.1% (41/46) versus 87.0% (40/46)], fracture healing time [(12.3±0.5) weeks versus (12.6±0.7) weeks], or the excellent and good rate of Harris hip score at the last follow-up [89.1% (41/46) versus 87.0% (40/46)] (all P>0.05). Conclusion:Both PFBN and PFNA can achieve satisfactory clinical results in the treatment of osteoporotic intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly patients, but PFBN may provide more reliable early stability and reduce patient bedtime than PFNA.
