1.Analysis on postoperative curative effect in 36 cases of thoracoscopy and laparoscopy combined radical operation of esophageal carcinoma

Objective To analyze the influence of thoracoscopy combined with laparoscopy for radical operation of esophageal carcinoma and open ones on the perioperative effects and postoperative quality of life.Methods The data in 74 esophagus cancer patients in the thoracic surgery department of our hospital from October 2012 to June 2015 were collected and divided into the endo-scopic group and open group according to different operative ways.The perioperative effects and complications in the two operation ways were analyzed.The EORTC QLQ-C30 and QLQ-OES18 were used to conduct the questionnaire investigation and comparative analysis.Results The mean intraoperative blood loss,postoperative catheter drainage,hospitalization time,occurrence rates of post-operative complications such as pneumonia,hydrothorax and gastric emptying disorder in the endoscopic group were lower than those in the open group,while the operative time was longer than that in the open group,the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).The total healthy status and function scores at postoperative 1,12 weeks in the two groups were decreased and symp-tom scores were increased,which at postoperative 24 weeks were back to close to preoperative level.The scores in the aspects of to-tal healthy status,physical functioning,role functioning,social functioning,fatigue,pain,dyspnea and difficultly coughing at postop-erative 1,12 weeks in the endoscopic group were superior to those in the open group,in which the scores of total healthy status, physical functioning and fatigue symptom at postoperative 24 week were still superior to those in the open group,the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion Thoracoscopy combined with laparoscopy for radical operation of esophageal carcinoma has the advantages in the aspects of intraoperative blood loss,catheter drainage,hospitalization time,some postoperative complications and QOL scores,but the operative time is longer.
2.Screening of LoxP-positive recombinant clones by self-primer colony polymerase chain reaction

Objective To investigate the screening and evaluating methods of positive recombinant clones for small fragments such as LoxP sequence. Methods Synthesized LoxP and vector complementary sequence were used as the upper and lower primer respectively, and colonies were used directly as the templates of polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The presence of 784 bp strap in electrophoresis was seen as positive. The positive recombinant clones screened by PCR were evaluated contrastively by restriction endonuclease digestion and verified by DNA sequence analysis. Results Among the six colonies randomly screened by PCR, three showed positive straps and one was verified by DNA sequence analysis. However, the electrophoresis only showed unclear and clouding straps when the three positive recombinant clones were evaluated by restriction endonuclease digestion. Conclusion Self-primer colony PCR is a high-speed, convenient, economic and effective method for screening and evaluating of positive clones recombinated by small fragments such as LoxP sequence.
3.Studies on components in leaves of Corylus heterophylla (Ⅱ)

Object To study tannin components in the leaves of Corylus heterophylla Fisch. Methods They were identified by (()~1H-NMR), (()~(13)C-NMR), FAB-MS, CD, 2-dimensional (()~1H-()~1HCOSY) spectra, and chemical methods. Results Four compounds were obtained from the plant. They are a new one, heterophylliin B (Ⅰ) and three known tannins, tellimagrandin Ⅱ (Ⅱ), casuarictin (Ⅲ), and casuarinin (Ⅳ).Conclusion Heterophylliin B is an ellagitannin dimer.
4.Design of embedded microprocessor-based signal collecting system used for urethral internal pressure

AIM:To design a signal collecting system of urethral internal pressure based on embedded microprocessor(ARM).METHODS:Based on ARM,the signal collecting module of urethral internal pressure and signal amplifier circuit were designed with sensor technology.The A/D transition circuit was improved by signal feedback theory to increase measurement accuracy.The software of sensor temperature drift was rectified by second linear interpolation so to enhance the accuracy of data collection.RESULTS:In simulated static urethral internal pressure collection,the signals of urethral internal pressure that sensor collected were corresponded with the location completely and send them into RAM of ARM for following analysis.CONCLUSION:The ARM-based signal collecting system of urethral internal pressure has simple circuit,reliability,lower power consumption,high precision and strong spot data analysis.
5.Three-dimensional CT features of occipital squama normal anatomy, anatomic variations and fractures

Objective To evaluate 3D CT features of normal anatomy,anatomic variations and fractures of occipital squama.Methods The 3D CT features on MIP,VR images were analyzed retrospectively in 589 pediatric cases.The normal anatomy,anatomic variations and fractures of occipital squama were observed respectively,and the differential diagnostic features including the individual location,appearance and extension were analyzed.Results Four hundred and thirty-three patients (75.2%) showed normal anatomy,including 154 patients with adult occipital anatomical features,279 patients with posterior intraoccipital synchondrosis,and 37 patients with Kerckring-supraoccipital synchondrosis.When cases with recent trauma history were excluded,113 patients (19.1%) showed anatomic variants,including unpenetrating sutures and penetrating sutures.The former could be subdivided to Mendosal sutures in 23 cases,superior median fissures in 19 cases,and midline supraoccipital fissures in 4 cases,while the latter could be subdivided to the interparietal bone variations in 54 cases,wormian bones in 23 cases,and accessory bones in 7 cases.Two or more variations coexisted in 33 cases.The occipital squama fractures were shown in 34 cases (5.6%),including linear fractures in 27 cases,comminuted fractures in 3 cases,with depression fracture in one case,separation of cranial sutures in 3 cases,and other fractures associated with variants in 3 cases.The fractures were sharp,or jagged,without limitation of the occification.Conclusion There are different 3D CT features of normal anatomy,anatomic variations and fractures of occipital squama in children,which are important for making the accurate diagnosis.
6.Detection of cytomegalovirus in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of patients with drug eruptions

Objective To investigate the role of human cytomegalovirus (CMV) in the occurrence of drug eruptions.Methods Peripheral blood samples were collected from 44 patients with drug eruptions (including 13 severe cases) and 50 healthy human controls.Taqman fluorescent real-time quantitative PCR (RT-PCR) was performed to determine the positive rate and load of CMV DNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was conducted to detect anti-CMV IgM antibodies in sera.Results The positive rate of CMV DNA was significantly higher in the patients than in the controls (65.91% (29/44) vs.28.00 % (14/50),x2 =13.552,P < 0.05),significantly different among patients with severe drug eruptions (11/13),patients with mild drug eruptions (58.06% (18/31)) and the controls (x2 =16.153,P < 0.05).In addition,patients with severe drug eruptions showed a higher positive rate of CMV DNA compared with patients with mild drug eruptions (x2 =13.817,P < 0.05) and the controls (x2 =7.237,P < 0.05).CMV DNA load was significantly higher in the patients than in the controls ((28 183.829 ± 19 527.654) vs.(3 019.952 ± 1 760.952) copies,t' =8.517,P < 0.05).No significant difference was found in CMV DNA load between patients with severe drug eruptions ((554 813.389 ± 722 642.498) copies),patients with mild drug eruptions ((13 290.558 ± 14 082.356) copies)) and the controls (P > 0.05).The positive rate of anti-CMV IgM antibodies was similar between the patients and controls (13.64% (6/44) vs.6.00% (3/50),P > 0.05),but significantly different among patients with severe drug eruptions (4/13),patients with mild drug eruptions (6.45%,2/31) and the controls (x2 =7.832,P < 0.05),and significantly higher in patients with severe drug eruptions than in the controls (x2 =6.409,P < 0.05).Conclusions CMV infection exists in patients with drug eruptions,and might be a factor associated with the initiation and aggravation of drug eruptions.

AIM: To investigate the linkage between the polymorphism of -109 and Glu237 in the high-affinity IgE receptor?(Fc?RⅠ?) gene and susceptibilty of allergic asthma in adults in a Chinese population. AIM: To investigate DNA damage and cell stress (heat shock protein 70 expression) in human bronchi smooth muscle cells by cigarette smoke extract (CSE) in vitro. METHODS: 30 mL smog was dissolved in 1 mL culture medium as stock solution of CSE. Human bronchi smooth muscle cells were cultured 3 hours with 1∶16, 1∶10, 1∶8, 1∶6 and 1∶4 of CSE. BACKGROUND:Tissue-engineered biomaterials have the similar structure and function with autologous tissues. OBJECTIVE:To explore the osteoinduction of the bone biomaterial composited with rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s in the treatment of large costal defects. METHODS:Forty Wistar rats were enrol ed used for the preparation of right large costal defect models, and then randomized into two groups, fol owed by the implantation of calcium chloride-sodium alginate gel (control group) or chloride-sodium alginate-bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s (experimental group). At 2, 4 and 8 weeks after implantation, chest X-ray radiograph and histological examination of the defect region were conducted. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:X-ray showed that in the experimental group, the defect area had no significant changes at the 2nd week after implantation until the formation of few bones at the 4th week;and at the 8th week, both ends of the defect region gradual y connected, and newly formed bones were ful of the defect. In contrast, the defect region in the control group showed no obvious bone healing, and both ends of the defect closed and osteosclerosis occurred. In the experimental group, there were a smal amount of fibrous tissues and numerous inflammatory cel s infiltratied in the material compartment, and no connection occured between the material and broken ends;there were numerous inflammatory cel s but no bone tissues in the control group at the 2nd week. At the 4th week, the scaffold degraded gradual y and abundant bone tissues were seen in the experimental group;the scaffold degraded little, and bone tissues aggregatied at the both defect ends in the control group. Up to the 8th week, the two kinds of scaffolds degraded mostly. A large number of bone tissues and trabeculae formed and the both defect ends were connected with the newly formed bones in the experimental groups, while in the control group, osteosclerosis appeared at both ends of the defect. To conclude, the bone biomaterial composited with rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cel s promotes the repair of large costal defects.
