Angiosarcomas are rare tumors that are derived from vascular endothelial cells. They may occur in various sites, including the skin, breast, visceral organs and deep soft tissues. The pleura usually a metastatic site from angiosarcomas. However, thirty one cases of primary pleural angiosarcomas have been reported worldwide. Here, we report a 61-year-old man with a primary angiosarcoma of the pleura with a brief review of the literature.

Journal of Korean Academy of Nursing 2001;31(5):912-920
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to identify the correlation that exists between quality of life and self-efficacy of schizophrenic patients, focusing on the influence of related factors on these varables. METHOD: The subjects of this study were 151 schizophrenic patients. The data were collected using questionnaires. The instruments used for this study were the general self-efficacy scale developed by Sherer & Maddex (1982), the specific self-efficacy scale modified and complemented by these co-researchers on the basis of the past studies and modified SIP by Voruganti (1996). The period of data collection was from July. 2000 to Jan. 2001. Data analysis was done by SPSS, t-test, ANOVA and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient. RESULT: 1. The level of self-efficacy showed a mean score of 60.0 and the level of quality of life, a mean score of 47.0. 2. The general characteristics affecting the self-efficacy of schizophrenic patients were staying with family (p=0.05) and employment (p=0.00). 3. The general characteristics affecting the quality of life of schizophrenic patients were staying with family (p=0.04), employment (p=0.05) and duration of illness (0.03). 4. A positive correlation was identified between self-efficacy and quality of life (r=-0.469, p=0.000). CONCLUSION: The study suggests that nursing intervention strategy should be worked out to develop a psychiatric rehabilitation program that can promote self-efficacy and thus enhance the quality of life of schizophrenic patients.

Journal of Korean Academic Society of Nursing Education 2015;21(2):256-265
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to propose and test a predictive model that could explain and predict the core competencies of nursing students. METHODS: A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 361 nursing students. The data was analyzed using SPSS Windows 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. RESULTS: The elements that directly influence the core competencies of nursing students were satisfaction with their academic discipline (nursing) and critical thinking disposition in which the disposition toward critical thinking directly influenced their satisfaction with nursing as an academic discipline and clinical practice. Conversely, satisfaction with clinical practice indirectly influenced core competencies through critical thinking disposition. CONCLUSION: This result provides the basic data for a competence-based curriculum intent on strengthening the core competencies (communication, problem-solving, and self-directed learning) by improving satisfaction with both clinical practice with their major and disposition toward critical thinking on the part of nursing students.

6.Fatal pulmonary embolism following percutaneous autologous marrow and MIIGTM115(Minimally-Invasive Injectable Graft) injection into simple bone cyst.
Korean Journal of Legal Medicine 2007;31(2):192-196
A 14-old girl presented to the general hospital with a fracture of the proximal metaphysis of the right humerus. Conventional radiography, CT and MR imaging revealed simple bone cyst of the right humerus. Percutaneous autologous marrow and MIIGTM115 injection into simple bone cyst were performed under general anesthesia. But the patient did not fully regain consciousness and showed no response to central pain. The post-interventional cardiac echocardiogram demonstrated pulmonary embolism. Despite subsequent thrombolytic therapy, the patient died 1hour later. The legal autopsy was performed at National Institute of Scientific Investigation.

Journal of the Korean Society of Maternal and Child Health 2019;23(2):136-146
PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to examine whether psychological distress of infertile women would differ according to demographic and infertility characteristics, and psychosocial variables such as neuroticism, self-esteem, coping style, and dyadic communication patterns. METHODS: A total of 466 infertile Korean women attending four infertility clinics and being recruited through an online survey center participated in the study. Psychological distress was assessed using the Korean version of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficients, a one-way analysis of variance, and hierarchical multiple regression. RESULTS: Overall psychological distress among infertile women did not differ significantly from that of healthy adult groups. However, infertile women who were of younger age or in the treatment preparation or rest period were shown to have a higher level of psychological distress. Hierarchical regression analyzes showed that after controlling demographic and infertility characteristics, psychosocial variables such as neuroticism, self-esteem, active/passive avoidance coping, and dyadic demanding/withdrawn communication patterns explained 52.5 % of psychological distress. CONCLUSION: The findings of this study suggest that a high-risk group is characterized with high neuroticism, low self-esteem, avoidance coping, and dyadic demanding/withdrawn communication pattern. There is a crucial need for developing an intervention which addresses infertile women's coping styles and marital communication.

8.A Survey on the Current Status and Demands of Infertility Counseling Towards the Development of an Infertility Counseling Delivery System
Journal of the Korean Society of Maternal and Child Health 2020;24(1):52-63
Purpose:
The aim of this study was to investigate the current status and demands of domestic infertility counseling and to investigate the predictors of infertile women’s needs for infertility counseling in order to improve the development of an infertility counseling delivery system.
Methods:
A total of 1,131 infertile Korean women from 116 public health centers, 2 infertility clinics, a counseling center of a demonstration project and an online infertility café participated in the study. A selfreport survey was utilized to collect data, including medical information and infertility counseling requirements. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a 1-way analysis of variance, and stepwise multiple regression.
Results:
The utilization rate of infertility counseling was 3.8%, with 81.6% of those who received counseling reporting that they were satisfied with the infertility counseling. Of the participants, 88.1% reported a high demand for infertility counseling and were found to have a higher need for counseling if they had higher incomes, were married for longer, were infertile longer, or were undergoing in vitro fertilization. Stepwise regression analyses showed that high level of psychological distress was a significant predictor for the need for infertility counseling.
Conclusion
In order to develop a client-centered infertility counseling delivery system, the levels of psychological distress of infertile women must be assessed and the development of a stepped care approach is proposed.

The Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor is a rare sex cord stromal tumor of the ovary, accounting for less than 0.5% of all primary ovarian neoplasm. This tumor is the most common type of all virilizing ovarian tumors. However, only one-third of patients develop virilization. Recently, we experienced a case of intermediately differentiated Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor with amenorrhea and so we present it with brief review of literature.
