Objective To investigate the effects of health education on enhancing the compliance behavior of patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). Methods 63 DM patients were provided with systemic health education during their staying in the hospital. A follow-up interview was performed at the 6th month of discharge to gather the information of how importance of compliance behavior on the prognosis of DM. Result After the systemic health education, the patients could take medicine on time and had a good behavior in daily life, which will effectively improved their quality in the future life.Conclusion Systemic the health education can improve the compliance behavior of patients, and thus directly affects the prognosis of DM.

Objective To evaluate contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) in the diagnosis of vascular complications of transplanted kidneys.Methods Twelve patients with vascular abnormalities after renal transplantation were observed and analyzed using CEUS, and the diagnosis of all cases was confirmed by means of operation,pathology or angiography.Results Five patients with renal artery stenosis,2 patients with renal artery thrombosis,3 patients with pseudoaneurysm, 1 patient with pseudophlebangioma, and 1 patient with intrarenal extensive microthrombus were found.The coincidence of CEUS was 100%.Conclusions CEUS is a new method with the characteristics of non-nephrotoxic damage to kidney and comparable with angiography in terms of dynamic imaging.

Objective To investigate the effect of glucocorticoid on ischemia-induced neuronal damage in gerbil hippocampus with forebrain ischemia model.Methods Twenty-one gerbils were randomly assigned to 3 groups (7 animals each). The animal was anesthetized and both common carotid arteries were exposed and separated. Silk threads were looped around these arteries. In group A and group B ,10 ?l saline was given and in group C dexamethasone-water soluble ( 3?g dissolved in 10 ?l saline ) was administered intracerebroventricularly. After a stabilization period of 60 min, transient forebrain ishcmia for 2.5 min was induced in group B and group C by pulling the arteries with 8g weights under the brain temperature of 37.5℃?0.2℃. Seven days after the ischemia, the brains were taken out and fixed with 10% buffered formalin. Brain slices, 5 ?m thick, were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Objective To evaluate the value of three-dimensional (3D) ultrasonic imaging of vascular volume in assessing postoperative acute rejection(AR) of renal transplant patients. Methods Color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) and 3D vascular volumetric parameters were collected and analyzed in 30 cases with stable renal function (control group) and 13 cases with AR of kidney transplantation (AR group). The diagnostic performances of each ultrasonic parameter were compared by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results The parameters of resistance index(RI) and pulsatility index(PI) in AR group were significantly higher than those in control group( P <0.005 and P <0. 05, respectively). Analysis of the areas under ROC curve showed that the area under VFI curve was the largest;no significant difference( P > 0. 05) was found compared the area under VFI curve to those areas under VI,FI and MG curves;Comparing the area under VFI curve to those under RI, V and PI,there were significant differences( P <0. 05). Taking VFI≤18. 78% as the critical value, the sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of AR of transplanted kidneys were 70. 0% and 93. 3% ,and the positive and negative predictive values were 60. 8% and 93. 4%, respectively. Conclusions The sensitivity and specifity of 3D vascular volumetric imaging parameter VFI in the diagnosis of transplanted kidneys with AR were higher than those of blood flow parameters RI and PL VFI with the optimal critical value of ≤18. 78% might be a useful index for the early diagnosis of transplanted kidneys with AR.

Objective To analyze and compare the anti-HCV reactivity,HCV nucleic acid detection results and HCV recom binantion immunoblot assay(RIBA) confirmatory test results in blood donors.Methods The blood samples collected from the volunteer blood donors from October 2013 to March 2015 were performed the HCV screening by using the domestic ELISA reagents from two different manufacturers and an imported nucleic acid detection reagent and matching detection system.The samples of anti-HCV reactivity or/and NAT detection positive were performed RIBA.Then the results of reactivity detected by two kinds of ELISA reagents,nucleic acid detection reagent and RIBA confirmatory test results were analyzed and compared.Results A total of 133959 samples of volunteer blood donors were detected,in which 113 380 samples covered the nucleic acid detection results,the reactivity samples proportion of anti-HCV detection was 0.19 ％ (252/133959),27 cases were positive in NAT detection with the positive detection ratio of 0.02 ％ (27/113 380);the proportion of HCV reactive samples confirmed by RIBA was 19.8 ％ (50/252),the negative proportion was 54.8％ (138/252),and the uncertain proportion was 25.4％ (64/252);27 samples of nucleic acid detection positive were double reagent reactivity in ELISA detection and positive in confirmatory test.The difference among the results of two ELISA reagents,RIBA confirmatory test results and nucleic acid detection results had statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion The detection strategy selecting twice ELISA+1 kind of nucleic acid detection is more secure.Aiming at higher proportion of false positive samples,the follow up system of blood donors should be established for maximizing the retention of blood donors.

Objective To study the impact of the number of functional natural teeth (FNT) and different oral restoration behaviors on well-being of the elderly.Methods The elderly residents of Guangzhou Haizhu District were acted as respondent,WHO-5 Scale was the measurement instrument of well-being.Analysis of covariance was used to correct confounding factors and analyze the corrected data,and then it was compared by LSD Test.Resuits (1) The results of analysis of covariance showed that,average scores on WHO-5 Scale were not all the same among different groups which were divided by different number of FNT or different oral restoration behaviors (Respectively:F=21.547,P＜0.001 ; F=141.219,P＜0.001).(2) The results of LSD Test showed that,although there were no statistical differences in corrected average scores between group with 5-9 FNT and group with 10-14 FNT (LSD-t=-0.536,P=0.593),differences had statistical senses between other groups(P＜0.01).All scores were ordered from the least to the most number of FNT,and they were (11.786±5.270),(15.724±4.036),(15.934±3.957),(18.941±2.616) and (23.390±6.951) respectively.It also showed that,there were no statistical differences in corrected average scores between the perfect oral restoration behavior group,the imperfect oral restoration behavior group and the no oral restoration behavior group(respectively:(23.056±4.772),(20.647±2.660),(14.872±7.313) ; P＜0.01).Statistical differences were also found in corrected average scores between the imperfect oral restoration behavior group and the abnormal oral restoration behavior group (respectively:(20.647 ±2.660),(14.565±2.914);LSD-t=13.108,P＜0.01).No statistical differences were found in corrected average scores between the no oral restoration behavior group and the abnormal oral restoration behavior group(respectively:(14.872±7.313),(14.565±2.914) ; LSD-t=-0.696,P＜0.01).The differences in corrected average scores between the needless oral restoration behavior group and the perfect oral restoration behavior group also showed no statistical significance (respectively:(22.848± 8.068),(23.056± 4.772) ; LSD-t =-0.340,P =0.734).Conclusion Well-being of the elderly may be associated with number of FNT and oral restoration behaviors.
