Objective To find a better method to reconstruct total ear in one stage. Methods In the procedure, a compound framework was formed, in which Medpor acted as ear framework and homogenous rib cartilage as helix-framework after being sculptured, then they were vamped together. The formed framework was covered with adjacent skin flap and homogenous skin graft after it had been covered with superficial temporal fascia flap. Results From January 2001 to Augest 2003, 8 cases of congenital microtia or antotia were treated in this way, and all of them obtained satisfactory appearance in auricle. Conclusion The reconstructed ear has a delicate structure and good appearance, and looks and feels as a real one by this new procedure.

A new method for accurate determination of 15 rare earth elements including Y-Lu in tea samples by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry( ICP-MS) was proposed. Sample preparation was based on the modified oxygen flask combustion technique. By using quartz cloth coated with glycerol instead of filter paper as the ignition agent, a total amount of 0. 1 g sample could be completely burned in a 500-mL flask. Key factors affecting the sample preparation effect were systematically investigated, and it was found that the extraction efficiencies of over 90% for all the analytes could be realized with 5 mL of 4% HNO3+1% HF ( V/V) as the extractant for the combustion residue and the total extraction process could be finished in one minute under sonication, which resulted in a very fast sample preparation procedure that could be completed in less than 3 minutes. The relative standard deviations ( RSD) of six parallel determination values were between 2. 7% and 5. 5%, and the detection limits ranged from 0. 001 mg/kg to 0. 006 mg/kg. Three tea standard reference materials were analyzed with the method and the detection results agreed well with the standard values. The method was successfully applied to three real samples analysis.

Objective To investigate the relationship between positive experience and perceived social support of the parents with a cerebral palsy child. Methods 105 parents with a cerebral palsy child who were hospitalized in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between November , 2014 and January , 2015 were conveniently selected and investigated about their positive experience and perceived social support with general information questionnaire, positive aspects of caregiving and perceived social support scale. The correlation between the two was analyzed. Results The mean score of the parent′s positive experience was (30.82 ± 5.26); the dimension of self affirmation was (16.71 ± 3.06) and the dimension of life expectation was (14.10 ± 2.85). The scores of the parents′ positive experience were significantly different among gender, education of parents and the age, gender of children. The score of the parents′ positive experience was positively correlated with the total score of perceived social support (r = 0.214, P = 0.029) and the score of other support (r = 0.227, P = 0.020). Conclusions The parents′ positive experience was medium of the high level, which is worth of more attention in order to improve it. The higher perceived social support score is , the more positive experience parents will have.

Objective To investigate the relationship between family cohesion and adaptation and the anxiety and depression level of parents of children with congenital heart disease after surgery. Methods 302 parents of children with congenital heart disease and 330 parents in child health care clinic were conveniently selected and investigated with Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).And Family Cohesion and Adaptation Questionnaire (FACES Ⅱ-CV) was applied to investigate the former. Results The mean score of the anxiety and depression level of parents of children with congenital heart disease was higher than that of the parents in child health care clinic. The difference was significant. The score of anxiety and depression of parents of children with congenital heart disease was significantly correlated with dissatisfaction of family coherence and adaptation; while negatively correlated with real family cohesion and adaptation.Multiple linear regression showed that real family adaptation, dissatisfaction of family adaptation were influential important factors of parents' anxiety.Dissatisfaction of family adaptation was also the influential important factors of the parents' depression. Conclusions The anxiety and depression of parents was above the average level,we must pay more attention to improve it,make full use of the function of families, and to improve their anxiety and depression condition.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2010;30(2):201-5
Astrocytes play a major role in the reactive processes in response to neuronal injuries in the brain. Excessive gliosis is detrimental and can contribute to neuronal damage. CD81 (TAPA), a member of the tetraspanin family of proteins, is upregulated by astrocytes after traumatic injury to the rat central nervous system (CNS). To further understand the role of CD81 in the inhibition of astrocytes, we analyzed the effects of a CD81 antibody, on cultured rat astrocytes. The results indicated that the effect worked in a dose-dependent manner with certain dosage range. It, however, reached a dosage equilibrium at a high dosage. Furthermore, anti-CD81 antibody remarkably inhibited the proliferation of astrocytes after incubation with astrocytes for different periods of time and the effect presented a time-dependent fashion. However, anti-CD81 antibody substantially inhibited the proliferation of astrocytes at low density and middle density but slightly inhibited the proliferation of astrocytes at high density, suggesting that the effect was positively correlated with the proliferative ability of astrocytes. Finally, the cell cycle of astrocytes exposured to anti-CD81 antibody was arrested in S phase at the initial stage and at G(0)/G(1) phase over time. These findings indicated that CD81 exert significant inhibitory effect, dose-dependently and time-dependently, on the proliferation of astrocytes and the effect is positively correlated with the proliferative capability of astrocytes.

Objective To investigate the effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride ( PHC) pretreat?ment on nuclear factor erythroid 2?related factor 2∕heme oxygenase?1 ( Nrf2∕HO?1) signaling pathway in re?nal tissues of rats with rhabdomyolysis?induced acute kidney injury ( AKI) . Methods Thirty?six pathogen?free male Sprague?Dawley rats, weighing 200-220 g, were assigned into 3 groups ( n=12 each) using a random number table: control group (group C), group AKI and PHC pretreatment group (group PHC). Rhabdomyolysis was induced by intramuscular injection of 50% glycerol 10 ml∕kg in bilateral hindlimbs. PHC 0?2 mg∕kg was injected intraperitoneally at 30 min before glycerol was injected intramuscularly in group PHC. At 1 and 6 h after glycerol injection, serum was collected for determination of blood urea nitro?gen ( BUN) and creatinine ( Cr) concentrations, and bilateral kidneys were harvested for pathological ex?amination and for determination of HO?1 activity and expression of Nrf2 mRNA and HO?1 mRNA ( by quan?titative real?time polymerase chain reaction) , Nrf2 in nucleoprotein and total protein and HO?1 in total pro?tein in renal tissues ( by Western blot) . The damage to the renal tubules was scored. Results Compared with group C, the BUN and Cr concentrations in serum and renal tubular damage scores were significantly increased, the expression of Nrf2 in nucleoprotein and total protein and HO?1 in total protein was signifi?cantly up?regulated, and HO?1 activity was significantly increased in AKI and PHC groups, the expression of HO?1 mRNA was significantly up?regulated in group AKI, and the expression of Nrf2 mRNA and HO?1 mRNA was significantly up?regulated in group PHC (P<0?01 or 0?05). Compared with group AKI, the BUN and Cr concentrations in serum and renal tubular damage scores were significantly decreased, the ex?pression of Nrf2 in nucleoprotein and total protein and HO?1 in total protein was significantly up?regulated, and HO?1 activity was significantly increased in group PHC ( P<0?01 or 0?05) . Conclusion The mecha?nism by which PHC pretreatment attenuates rhabdomyolysis?induced AKI may be related to activation of Nrf2∕HO?1 signaling pathway in renal tissues of rats.
