Objective To investigate the influence of pre-chemotherapy hemoglobin and platelet levels on the effect of chemotherapy and prognostic outcome in patients with endometrial carcinoma (EC).Methods 104 patients with EC who underwent surgical treatment following neoadjuvant chemotherapy were retrospectively analyzed.Multiple logistic regression was carried out to evaluate the relationship between the probability of achieving an optimal clinical response and the variables.The log-rank test was used to compare the homogeneity of progression-free survival and overall survival functions across strata defined by categories of prognostic variables.Results The Cox proportional hazard model was used to assess the significance of potential prognostic factors for progression-free survival and overall survival.Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that FIGO staging (OR =3.234,95 ％ CI:1.324-13.454) and lymph node metastasis (OR =8.235,95 ％ CI:1.563-18.574) were independent factors of influencing effects of new adjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of EC patients.Multivariate Cox regression model analysis showed that the FIGO staging(HR =4.342,95％ CI:1.643-15.856) and lymph node metastasis (HR =3.853,95％ CI:1.864-9.675) were independent factors of influencing 5 years survival rate of EC patients received new adjuvant chemotherapy.Conclusion The curative effect and prognosis after receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy operation in treatment of EC patients before chemotherapy,there was no significant correlation between hemoglobin and platelet levels,and lymph node metastasis,FIGO stage.

To introduce the experiences of nursing risk management in Children's Cancer Center in Hongkong from aspects of organization structure and responsibility,clinical application of the risk management measures so to give reference to the hospital's nursing risk management in our country.

[Objective] To investigate the renal histological parameters in SD rats and beagles and to supply evidence for renal toxicological and pathological diagnosis. [Methods] Forty SD adult rats and 20 adult beagles (half males and half females) , were respectively executed at 12 weeks and 12 months old. Then, kidney tissue was fixed in 10% neutral formalin, embedded in paraffin, made into slices at 5?m and stained by HE. The larger diameter and shorter diameter of glomerulus in the renal cortex and outer stripe of rats and beagles were determined by Spot Advanced image analysis software. The differences of the above parameters appearing in different species and genders were compared. [Results] The larger diameter was about 96 ?m, and the shorter diameter 76 ?m in the renal cortex of the beagles, and the larger was about 120?m and the shorter 94 ?m in the outer stripe of the beagles. The differences of the larger and shorter diameters were insignificant between the male and female beagles, but the larger and shorter diameters in the outer stripe were longer than those in the cortex. The larger diameter and shorter diameter were about 87 ?m and 64 ?m respectively in the renal cortex of SD rats, and the larger was about 88 ?m and the shorter 64 ?m in the outer stripe of SD rats. The differences of the larger and shorter diameters were insignificant between the male and female beagles, as well as in the outer stripe and the cortex. [Conclusion] The nephron in the outer stripe is larger than that in the cortex of beagles but no difference of the nephron exists in SD rats. The nephron in beagles is larger than that in SD rats, and there is no difference in the nephron between male and female beagles and SD rats.

Background Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) is one of nuclear transcription factors.It plays potential anti-inflammation,anti-fibrogenesis,anti-angiogenesis and neuroprotection roles in human.So the study of its physiological and pathological function in human and animals is still a focus.To understand the distribution of PPARγ in ocular tissues is important for the target treatment of eye diseases.Objective Current study was to investigate the expression of PPARγ in different parts of eye in rodent.Methods Cornea,lens,ciliary,retina and optical nerve were isolated from 6 SPF C57BL/6J mice and 1 SD rat.Western blot assay was used to detect the expressions of PPARγprotein in cornea,lens and retina.Immunohistochemistry was used to locate the distribution of PPARγ protein in cornea,lens,ciliary,retina and optical nerve.Also,the co-expression of PPARγ with glutamine synthetase (GS) (a Müller cell specific marker) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP)(an astrocyte specific marker) in retina and optic nerve was detected by immunofluorescent double staining.Results Western blot assay showed that PPARγ was expressed in the cornea,lens and retina of the mice.Immunohistochemistry revealed that PPARγ mainly located at corneal epithelium with the strongest staining in the basal cells,but only weak staining was seen in corneal endothelial cells and stroma cells.PPARγ was strongly expressed in epithelial cells and shallow cortex layer of mouse lens.In mouse retina,PPARγ was extensively and richly expressed in retinal ganglion cell layer,inner and outer plexiform layers and inner nuclear layer.In addition,PPARγ was also expressed in the non-pigmented epithelial cells in ciliary body.The co-locations of PPARγexpression with GS in retinal tissue and PPARγ expression with GFAP in optical nerve tissue were found in the mice.Conclusions PPARγis proved to distribute extensively in different ocular tissues.These results offer basis for the target treatment of relevant eye diseases.

Objective To explore the clinical curative effect and safety of intra -abdominal beacizumab bead sheet resistance combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in treatment of ovarian cancer perito-neal effusion.Methods 60 patients with ovarian cancer peritoneal effusion in Binzhou Central Hospital from June 2012 to July 2015 were randomly divided into two groups.30 cases in the control group were treated with intraperito-neal hyperthermic perfusion chemotherapy, while 30 patients in the observation group were given intra-abdominal beacizumab bead sheet resistance combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy.The short-term effica-cy,toxicity and quality of life were compared.Results The effective rate of the observation group was 73.33%, which was significantly higher than 53.33% in the control group,the difference was significant (χ2 =8.55,P<0.05).In the two groups, there were no significant differences on thrombocytopenia, reduced white blood cells and hemoglobin,nausea,vomiting and abdominal pain (χ2 =1.07,1.87,0.90,1.51,2.88 , all P >0 .0 5 ) .The improvement rate of life quality of the observation group was 76.67%,which was significantly higher than 50.00%of the control group,the difference was significant (χ2 =8.06,9.31,all P<0.05).Conclusion Intra-abdominal beacizumab bead sheet resistance combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy has remarkable curative effect in treatment of ovarian cancer peritoneal effusion,with high safety,and can significantly improve the quality of life of patients,that is suitable for clinical application.

Objective To observe the effect of auricular point sticking on the sleep quality of patients undergone liver transplantation.Method The sleep quality was assessed by using sleep quality scale. The patients undergone liver transplantation were randomized into two groups, both receiving auricular point sticking, while the insomnia zone was selected in the observation group and non-insomnia zone was selected in the control group, 4 weeks as a treatment course.Result In 4 weeks after the transplantation, there were significant inter-group differences in comparing the scores of unfreshing sleep, difficulty falling asleep, nightmairs, medications, post-insomnia reactivity, and the total score of the self-rating scale of sleep (SRSS) (P＜0.05); in 2 months after the transplantation, there were significant differences in comparing the scores of sleep latency, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbance, sleep medications, daytime dysfunction, and the global score of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) between the two groups (P＜0.05), indicating that the sleep quality in the observation group was markedly improved. Three months after transplantation, there were no significant differences in comparing the sleep indexes between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Auricular point sticking at the insomnia zone can markedly improve the short-term sleep disorder in patients after liver transplantation, and can reduce the dose of sleep medications.

Background Researches showed that triterpenoids,with a similar structure to lanosterol,has therapeutical effect on many systemic diseases,and lanosterol was determined to have a therapeutical effect on cataract recently.However,how the lanosterol plays effects on other eye diseases is still unelucidated.Understanding the distribution of lanosterol in ocular tissue is helpful for us to elucidate the relationship of lanosterol with eye diseases.Objective This study attempted to investigate the distribution of lanosterol synthase (LSS) and lanosterol in cornea,lens and retina tissue of rats and offer a basis for the targeting treatment of eye diseases.Methods Fifteen SPF male SD rats were sacrificed by excessive anesthesia to obtain the eyeballs.The relative expressions of LSS protein and gene in the cornea,lens and retina tissue of the rats were detected by Western blot and reverse transcription (RT)-PCR,respectively.Immunofluorescence staining technology was used to locate the distribution of LSS in cornea,lens and retina tissue.The contents of lanosterol in the cornea,lens and retina tissue were analyzed by liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer (LC-MS).Results No LSS protein and mRNA was expressed in the retinal tissue in normal rats.The mean relative expression of LSS protein in the lens and cornea was 0.43±0.05 and 0.25±0.03,respectively,showing a significant difference between them (t =-5.35,P＜ 0.01).The relative expression of LSS mRNA was 0.51 ±0.04 and 0.29 ±0.02 in the lens and cornea,respectively,with a stronger expression in the lens in comparison with the cornea (t =-8.34,P＜0.01).Immunofluorescence staining showed that LSS primarily located in corneal epithelial layer,stromal layer and endothelial layer as well as lens epithelial cells and shallow cortex layer and hardly expressed in retina,and no co-expression of LSS with the neuron marked by NeuN and the Müller cell marked by glutamine synthetase (GS) in retinal tissue.LC-MS analysis revealed that the contents of lanosterol in lens and cornea was (24.37 ±2.91) ng/mg and (5.31 ±0.58) ng/mg,respectively,with a significant difference between them (t =-11.13,P＜0.01).Conclusions LSS and lanosterol extensively distribute in cornea and lens of normal rats,but not in retina tissue.These results offer new strategies for the target treatment of relevant eye diseases.

Objective To evaluated the prevalence of pterygium among people aged ≥40 in China by using Meta analysis.Methods A literature retrieval was performed in China biology medicine disc (CBMdisc),China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI),VIP database,WanFang database,PubMed,excerpta medica database (EMBASE),Web of Science from 1990 to 2016 according to designed searching strategy.Tailored quality evaluation standard of epidemiological research was used to evaluate the study quality of each included study.Stata 13.0 software was used to estimate the prevalence of pterygium,subgroup analysis of age,sex and region was also carried out.Results Thirty-six studies were involved in this Meta analysis,including 8 English researches and 28 Chinese researches.The random effect model was used to merge 36 research data.The prevalence of pterygium among people aged over 40 in China was 13.4％ [95％ confidence interval (CI):10.6％-16.5％].Subgroup analysis results showed that the prevalence of pterygium increased with age.The prevalence of pterygium in rural region was 15.3％ (95％ CI:12.1％-18.8％),which was higher than 4.0％ (95％ CI:2.4％-6.1％) in urban region.The prevalence of pterygium among rural people aged ≥ 40 was 12.1％ (95％ CI:8.6％-16.2％),which was lower than 14.7％ (95％ CI:10.5％-19.5％) among rural people aged ≥50.The highest prevalence of pterygium in different age and sex subgroups was in the west region of China,followed by the east region of China and the lowest was in the central region of China.Conclusion The prevalence of pterygium among people aged ≥ 40 in China was high.Over the past decade,the prevalence of pterygium were different among different ages,and places of residence.

Immunoadsorption can selectively remove pathogenic antibodies and has recently achieved good results in neuroimmune diseases. The type and titer of pathogenic antibodies play an important role in the clinical symptoms and severity of patients with autoimmune encephalitis. First-line immunotherapy for autoimmune encephalitis includes steroids, intravenous immunoglobulin, plasma exchange or immunoadsorption. Immunoadsorption selectively and rapidly eliminates autoantibodies and can be an effective therapeutic option as part of multimodal immunotherapy.

Purpose: Chronic stress and related hormones are key in cancer progression. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) and its agonists was reported that inducing anti-tumor effect. However, the function of PPARγ in pro-tumorigenic effects induced by chronic stress in breast cancer remains unknown. Herein, we have characterized a novel role of PPARγ and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)/fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF2) signals in breast cancer promoted by chronic stress. Materials and Methods: We performed experiments in vivo and in vitro and used bioinformatics data to evaluate the therapeutic potential of PPARγ in breast cancer promoted by stress. Results: Chronic stress significantly inhibited the PPARγ expression and promoted breast cancer in vivo. VEGF/FGF2-mediated angiogenesis increased in the chronic stress group compared to the control group. PPARγ agonist pioglitazone (PioG) injection offset the pro-tumorigenic effect of chronic stress. Moreover, specific β2-adrenergic receptor (β2R) antagonist ICI11-8551 inhibited the effect of chronic stress. In vitro, norepinephrine (NE) treatment had a similar tendency to chronic stress. The effect of NE was mediated by the β2R/adenylate cyclase signaling pathway and suppressed by PioG. PPARγ suppressed VEGF/FGF2 through reactive oxygen species inhibition. Bioinformatics data confirmed that therewas a lowPPARγ expression in breast invasive carcinoma. Lower PPARγ was associated with a significantly worse survival. Conclusion β2R activation induced by chronic stress and related hormones promotes growth and VEGF/FGF2-mediated angiogenesis of breast cancer by down-regulating PPARγ. Our findings hint that β receptor and PPARγ as two target molecules and the novel role for their agonists or antagonists as clinical medicine in breast cancer therapy
