1.Distance between brain metastases of non-small cell lung cancer and the hippocampus and its correlation with PTV low-dose regions in prophylactic cranial irradiation with hippocampal avoidance: an analysis of 56 patients

Objective To investigate the feasibility of prophylactic cranial irradiation with hippocampal avoidance (HA-PCI) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods The clinical data of 56 patients with brain metastases of NSCLC who were treated from 2011 to 2014 were collected.Brain metastases and the hippocampus were delineated on T1 W1 contrast-enhanced MRI,and the distance between brain metastases and the hippocampus was analyzed;an HA-PCI regimen was also developed,and the distribution of the metastases in planning target volume (PTV) low-dose regions around the hippocampus was analyzed.Results None of the 139 metastases involved the hippocampus.There were 6(4.3%) and 18 (12.9%) metastases within 5 mm and 10 mm,respectively,outside the hippocampus.In the HA-PCI regimen,the D50% and D2% of PTV were 25.6 Gy and 27.1 Gy,respectively.Dmean and D2% for the hippocampus were 7.4 Gy and 9.9 Gy,respectively;D50% within 0-5.0 mm,5.1-10.0 mm,and 10.1-15.0 mm outside the hippocampus was 10.3 Gy,15.1 Gy,and 20.5 Gy,respectively.Conclusions HA-PCI may be feasible theoretically,but this needs to be confirmed by the intracranial failure pattern in patients with long-term survival.
2.Expression and clinical significance of microRNA-126, microRNA-155, Klotho protein and TGF-β1 protein in peripheral blood of patients with essential hypertension

Objective:To investigate the expression of microRNA-126, microRNA-155, Klotho protein and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) in peripheral blood of patients with essential hypertension.Methods:From December 2015 to December 2018, 80 patients with essential hypertension admitted to Lishui Central Hospital were selected in the study, and 80 healthy people from Lishui Central Hospital from December 2015 to December 2018 were selected as the control group.The expressions of microRNA-126 and microRNA-155 were detected by RT-PCR, and the expressions of Klotho and TGF-β1 were detected by ELISA.The changes of systolic and diastolic blood pressure, the expressions of microRNA-126 and microRNA-155 in peripheral blood, Klotho protein and TGF-β1 protein were compared between the two groups.Results:The expression of microRNA-126 (0.23±0.07) and microRNA-155 (0.84±0.14) in peripheral blood of the hypertension group was lower than that of the control group [(1.16±0.24) and (1.37±0.21)] ( t=33.273, 18.782, all P<0.05). The serum levels of Klotho protein in the hypertension group[(123.42±9.47)ng/L] was lower than that in the control group [(143.56±14.68)ng/L], while the serum level of TGF-β1 protein the hypertension group[(561.32±58.39)ng/L] was higher than that in the control group [(408.97±25.13)ng/L] ( t=10.312, 21.436, all P<0.05). Conclusion:The expression of microRNA-126 and microRNA-155 in peripheral blood of patients with essential hypertension is down-regulated, and the expression of Klotho protein and TGF-β1 protein is up-regulated, which has certain guiding significance for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
3. Relationship between plasma ACTA, BNP, GDF-15 and IL-6 levels and heart failure

Objective:
To investigate the relationship between plasma activin A(ACTA), B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP), growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels and heart failure.
Methods:
From January 2017 to December 2018, 80 patients with acute heart failure admitted to Lishui Central Hospital were selected as observation group.According to NYHA cardiac function classification, 23 patients were classified as grade II, 30 patients were classified as grade Ⅲ and 27 patients were classified as grade Ⅳ.Another 60 healthy people were selected as control group from January 2017 to December 2018.The left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD) and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) were measured by Doppler echocardiography, and the levels of ACTA, BNP, GDF-15 and IL-6 were measured by ELISA.
Results:
The plasma ACTA[(2.43±0.54)ng/mL], BNP[(219.31±34.25)ng/L], GDF-15[(854.31±46.57)ng/L], IL-6[(183.25±39.89)ng/L]in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group[(0.32±0.10)ng/mL, (16.74±3.89)ng/L, (467.52±60.91)ng/L, (40.31±6.57)ng/L](
