Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2017;26(1):98-102
Radiation?induced brain injury is a common adverse reaction to radiotherapy for head and neck carcinoma, and may develop into radiation?induced brain necrosis in some patients. The disease has a substantial impact on the quality of life and 5?year survival in patients. Early diagnosis and prevention are important for the clinical treatment of radiation?induced brain injury. On the other hand, recurrence and pseudoprogression as complications of malignant tumor radiotherapy are also key problems for clinical diagnosis and identification of radiation?induced brain injury. Magnetic resonance imaging ( MRI) , especially functional MRI, provides an important approach for basic and clinical studies of radiation?induced brain injury.

Objective To investigate the geometric modeling method for trans-femoral prosthetic socket. Methods The socket reference shapes (i.e. shape templates) were constructed based on the statistic analysis and integrated into the CASD program. The initial socket shape was obtained by transformation from the corresponding reference shape based on the data from the patient's stump and the final socket shape was determined by a kind of three-dimensional interaction method under the OpenGL environment. The fabrication experiment is conducted on the specialized numerical control machine. Results The interactive modification method was easy to use. The machined socket mold is consistent with the designed model in the shape and the precision. Conclusion This method can meet the clinical requirements in the main, but need to optimize the surface shaping characters and rules during the interactive modification stage.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2020;41(2):179-182
Objective:
To investigate the variability of the time and frequency of Moderate to Vigorous Physical Activity (MVPA) during the school days and weekends of junior high school students, and to explore the correlation between MVPA and physical fitness.
Methods:
A cluster sampling method was used to investigate 79 students of grade 1 and grade 2 in Beijing Huilongguan Middle School. Adapted one day physical activity recording tool was implemented to investigate students’ physical activity from 8:00 to 23:00 a week, activity records were classified into daily MVPA parts and non MVPA parts based on MET values. Physical activity time series for 5 consecutive days and 2 weekends, as well as MVPA total time and the lempel ziv complexity of the sequence was calculated. Investigated the correlation between the MVPA situation and the results of national students’ physical fitness standard test.
Results:
There was no statistical difference in MVPA time between males and females during school days( t =-0.90, P >0.05). Females had greater variability in MVPA than males(58.9%, 53.5%). There was also no statistical difference in MVPA complexity between genders( t =-0.55, P >0.05). During weekends, there was no significant difference in the total MVPA time between men and women( t =-0.13, P >0.05). The CV of male MVPA time was lower than that of female(141.5%, 152.8%). There was also no significant difference( t =-0.63, P >0.05), and male MVPA complex CV was slightly higher than that of female ( 55.1% , 48.1%). The MVPA time CV of adolescents during weekdays was slightly lower for males (weekdays vs weekends: 53.5%, 141.5%) than females(58.9%, 152.8%). The MVPA complexity in weekdays among males was moderately correlated with BMI( r =0.41), and the MVPA time and weight of females ( r =-0.30) and BMI ( r =-0.31) were low. The complexity was related to body weight ( r =-0.31) and BMI ( r =-0.33) to a low degree( P <0.05).
Conclusion
Junior middle school students are more active on school days than weekend, but the MVPA time series are limited. Schools can effectively improve physical fitness by spreading out the activity period of MVPA in one day. MVPA complexity, as a more comprehensive indicator, may be more sensitive to BMI of junior middle school students.

Chinese Journal of Neuromedicine 2020;19(11):1128-1133
Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of domestic sporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (sCJD).Methods:One patient diagnosed with probable sCJD in our hospital in October 2019 was firstly reported; the clinical data of this patient were retrospectively analyzed combining with those of 82 patients publicly reported in domestic core journals on China Biology Medicine disc, CNKI and WANFANG databases from 2009 to 2019 and met with MRI-CJD consortium criteria for sCJD.Results:Of the total 83 patients, 78 were diagnosed as clinically probable sCJD and other 5 as definite sCJD. There were 45 males and 38 females; the median age was 63 (58, 68) years. The course of disease was recorded in 56 patients, and the time from onset to death was 4.3 (2.9, 7.0) months. The onset and main symptoms were diverse and non-specific, however, progressive cognitive impairments, myoclonus, ataxia, visual dysfunction, akinetic mutism frequently occurred during the whole disease course. As compared with those in patients less than or equal to 65 years old, cerebellar symptoms and visual impairment occurred more frequently in patients over 65 years old ( P< 0.05). High diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) signals were detected on the cortex and/or the basal ganglia and/or the thalamus of 92.4% patients (73/79). Meanwhile, akinetic mutism was more likely to appear in patients with basal ganglia involvements than the unaffected ones (62.5% vs. 25.8%, P<0.05). Abnormal cortical DWI high signals in one patient were detected 7 months before the appearance of first symptom, and four patients who were clinically confirmed by dynamic follow-up DWI presented clinical symptoms highly corresponding to changes in DWI signals in brain regions. Conclusions:The sCJD tends to occur in the middle-aged and elderly patients, with high heterogeneity in clinical symptoms, durations and abnormal DWI signals, and symptoms caused by damage in posterior cranial fossa occur more frequently in patients over 65 years old; the DWI lesions in basal segment might be seen as a sign for deterioration of disease. Dynamic DWI follow-up may be helpful for early detection and objective reflection of sCJD intracerebral lesions.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2005;22(5):1031-1035
To retain the anti-rheumatoid arthritis activity of melittin and to reduce the hemolysis and hypersusceptibility caused by melittin, a deletion peptide of melittin was synthesized. Its ant-inflammation effect was observed . A hydrophile peptide fragment of melittin was synthesized by standard solid-phase method. The product was analyzed by HPLC and MS. The relevant hemolysis and hypersusceptibility were tested. The rabbits' model of immune arthritis were established and treated. The results showed that the hemolysis rate for peptide fragment was less than 5%, the hypersusceptibility rate was less than 8%. The hydrophile peptide fragment of melittin may retain anti-rheumatoid arthritis activity and reduce the melittin-induced hemolysis and hypersusceptibility.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2013;30(3):552-555
This study was aimed to establish rat bladder tumor animal models to investigate the in viva antitumor effect of polyanhydride-pirarubicin (PAD-THP), a long-lasting anti-cancer implant, in the bladder tumor of animal models. The model of bladder cancer was set up with N-butly-N-(4 hydroxybutyl) nitrosamine (BBN) feeding into rats. The PAD-THP long-acting anti-cancer implants containing the drugs and the same dose of the THP naked drug were placed under the bladder mucosa of bladder tumor model in vivo. The pirarubicin plasma concentration was measured with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) detection in vivo. The effective drug concentration and lasting period were observed and compared in the animal bodies. The tumor sizes were measured before and after the treatment. The in viva antitumor effects were analyzed and compared. The results showed that more significant antitumor effect of PAD-THP implants on the local drug release characteristics were presented compared with that of the same dose of THP bare drug group and there were significant differences (P<0. 05) between the two methods. All the results indicated that the PAD-THP anti-cancer implants in the postoperative local treatment of bladder tumors would show prosperous in the future for clinical application.

Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2022;37(17):1347-1350
The data of a child with sphingosine phosphate lyase insufficiency syndrome (SPLIS) admitted to Children′s Hospital of Hebei Province on February 4, 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The child had edema, complicated with ichthyosis, adrenal calcification, and hearing loss from the early infancy.Laboratory examination results suggested a low albumin level, hypercholesterolemia, a high proteinuria level, abnormal liver and renal functions, and hyponatremia. The child gave up treatment and died at home.Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) results showed two hete-rozygous mutations of SGPL1 gene (chr10: 72604336, c.134G>A, p.W45X; chr10: 72629563, c.719G>T, p.S240I). SPLIS is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. It starts in infancy, and affects the kidney, skin, endocrine, nervous and immune systems. It is suggested that SPLIS patients should take genetic examination.Early diagnosis, appropriate intervention, and vitamin B 6 treatment may relieve some symptoms of SPLIS patients.Adeno-associated virus mediated SGPL1 gene replacement therapy can be a novel cure of SPLIS and is worthy of investigation.
