BACKGROUND: The clinical effect of drug-eluting stent implantation in treatment of coronary artery disease is good, but there may be some differences in the therapeutic effect between different stents. OBJECTIVE:To compare the clinical effect of different stent implantation in treatment of coronary artery disease. METHODS:A total of 278 patients with coronary artery disease were enroled and al underwent coronary artery stent implantation treatment, of which 91 patients underwent implanted rapamycin eluting stent, 92 patients underwent implanted paclitaxel eluting stent, and 95 patients underwent implanted bare metal stents. Al the patients were folowed up for 12 months after stents implantation. The occurrence of adverse cardiac events such as death, myocardial infarction, and the occurrence of coronary restenosis and host reaction were recorded. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The rates of coronary artery stenosis, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass grafting or second-time percutaneous coronary interventional therapy in the paclitaxel eluting stent and rapamycin eluting stent groups were al lower than those in the bare metal stent group (P< 0.05). There were no significant differences in the above indicators between paclitaxel eluting stent and rapamycin eluting stent groups (P> 0.05). There was no significant difference in the mortality between these three groups (P> 0.05). There was no stent shift, shedding, breakage, bad implantation position, leukocytosis, thrombocytopenia and hemolysis in these three groups. These results demonstrate that the therapeutic effects of these two kinds of drug-eluting stents are al good enough, and better than those of bare metal stents.

Objective To evaluate the value of color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) in the diagnosis of congenital coronary artery fistula (CAF).Methods Thirteen consecutive patients ranging in age from 8 to 68 years underwent conventional transthoracic echocardiography, which depicts their origin, course, and drainage site. Results Right CAFs were detected in 8 patients: four of them had drainages to the left ventricle, two to the main pulmonary artery, one to the right ventricle(RV) and the other to the right atrium(RA). CAFs arising from the left coronary artery were noted in five patients: three of them had drainages to the main pulmonary, and the other two to the RA and RV respectively. The origin and the course were precisely defined and the drainage site was clearly depicted in all thinteen patients. The diagnosis of the thirteen patients was confirmed by coronary angiography, and eight of them received surgical treatment. Conclusions CDFI offers a simple, useful and reliable technique in diagnosis of CAF.

Objective To observe the effects of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)injection from tail-vein on the expression of glial cell line derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) after the spinal cord injury (SCI) of rats.MethodMSCs were cultured from the thighbone of adult wistar rats. The T10 level spinal cord injury was execute by the modify-Allen's device. The MSCs labeled by bromodeoxyuridine were transplanted into the vein of tail by injection immediately after spinal cord injury. Adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: SCI cured with MSCs transplantation (group A), SCI received normal saline(group B),and control group (group C). Then MSCs were detected and the expressions of GDNF of the lesion and neighbor areas were examined by Reversetranscription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohistochemistry.ResultImmunohistochemistry: MSCs labeled by bromodeoxyuridine could be detected in the injuried spinal cord after transplantation. It was located at the nucleolus of MSCs. The cells survived and migrated rostrallyand caudally from the injection sites. With the time passed, the number of MSCs labeled with bromodeoxyuridine was decreased. RT-PCR: The expression of Group A was increased on the followed day, and the expression of Group B was increased on the 1st day but decrease from the 5th day then on.compared with group B, transplantation of MSCs significantly enhanced the expression of GDNF mRNA than group A on the 1st, 3rd, 5th day after cell transplantation(P

Objective:To investigate the effects of Seroxat on Essential Hypertensive subjects with anxiety and depression and to explore its clinical implications. Methods:After evaluating 77 cases with essential hypertension by SDS and SAS, the subjects with positive results who were followed for 12 weeks from baseline assessments were randomly divided into experimental group (routine treatment and Seroxat) and control group(only routine treatment) and the subjects with negative results were regarded as non-anxiety and non-depression group. The time of the amelioration of symptom , the duration of hospitalization, the drug costs and clinical outcome were compared between 3 groups. The scores of SDS\SAS\QOL were compared within and between the experimental and control group. Results: In experimental groups and non-anxiety and non-depression groups, the time of the amelioration of symptom and the duration of hospitalization were shorter, the drug costs were less and clinical outcome was significantly better than those of control group. The scores of SDS and SAS in experimental groups were significantly lower and the scores of 3 items of QOL were significantly higher than those of control groups. Conclusion:The drug therapy on anxiety and depression could shorter the time of the amelioration of symptom, the duration of hospitalization, decrease the drug costs in hospital, significantly improve clinical outcome, and also lower the degree of psychological obstacle, improve quality of life of essential hypertension patients.

Objective To study the preventive and therapeutic effects of losartan and vitamin E on kidney injury induced by overtraining in a rat model. Methods Forty SD male rats were randomly divided into four groups (10 each): control group, model group, losartan group and vitamin E group. Rats in control group were fed with conventional diet. Rats in other three groups were forced to run on the treadmill for 8 weeks, once a day for 20 minutes and 5 days for each week, till exhaustion to induce the kidney injury. Rats in losartan group and vitamin E group were gavaged either with losartan or vitamin E everyday. Urine was collected at the end af each week, urine protein and N-acety-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) were detormined, and the serum urea nitrogen, creatinine (SCr), angiotensin Ⅱ, Na+-K+-ATP-ase activity in kidney were analyzed after 8 weeks' training. Results After 8 weeks' training, the urine protein, NAG in urine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), SCr were obviously increased in model group, losartan group and vitamin E group as compared with that in control group, while those in model group were higher than that in losartan group and vitamin E group (P0.05). Na+-K+-ATP-ase activity of renal tissue were obvionsly lower in model group and losartan group than that in control group and vitamin E group (P
