Objective To evaluate the significance of ultrasonography in diagnosis and differentiation of morning glory syndrome. Methods Ultrasonography,CT and fundus fluorescein angiography(FFA) features were retrospectively analyzed in 6 cases of morning glory syndrome. Results Ultrasonography, CT and FFA characters of morning glory syndrome were as follow: on the B-type ultrasonogram, the dark area of vitreous cavity extended to the posterior pole and optic papilla, projecting to the basal part of muscle cones, thus the posterior part of vitreous cavity looked like a converted bottleneck. Sometimes the light ribbon of retinal detachment can also be seen. On the A-type ultrasonogram, both vitreous cavity and bottleneck showed no ultrasonic echo and acted as an equable baseline without any evident wave crest. The attachment spot of optic nerve of eye turned thin and vitreous body protruded to the posterior wall of eyeball with spherical shape on CT imaging. In the earlier period of FFA, hypofluorescence appeared on the optic disc; then ,the abnormal arteriae and vein around the optic papilla were diplayed clearly; In the later period, optic discs were dyed with fluorescein. Conclusions Ultrasonography, CT and FFA showed imageological features of morning glory syndrome from different aspects, which was helpful for differentiating similar diseases such as optic disc coloboma. Especially, ultrasonography was considered as a more safe and reliable imageological method than other imageological methods in precisely diagnosing and differentiating morning glory syndrome and superior to the traditional fundus check which gives no integrity.

It is discussed in this paper the origins and pathogenesis of treating senile disease from spleen in TCM,and the relationship between various methods of invigorating the spleen and senile deficiency syndromes. It has been proposed that the therapy principles of invigorating qi and spleen, stimulating the appetite to awake the splee, primering blood to go back to the spleen, dehumidification to activate spleen-energy,warming the kidney and spleen, dispersing the depressed liver-energy to belifit the spleen, going on dieting to belifit the spleen and clearing away heart-fire to support spleen etc.are used to prevent and cure senile diseases. It also listed the corresponding treatment prescriptions for the elderly patients. It provides a theoretical basis for treatment of senile diseases from the governance of spleen. And it provided a realistic basis and the implementation of the method for the prevention and treatment of elderly patient's deficiency aging.

Objective To study the changes of the urinary ?-1 microglobulin and urinary immunoglobulin G(IgG) and to investigate the relationship between these two proteins and the allograft function after renal transplantation. Methods Twenty-nine renal transplant recipients were included in the study.Urinary ?-1 microglobulin and urinary IgG were analyzed at d 1,7,14,21,28 after renal transplantation. The allograft function was evaluated based on the clinical manifestations, laboratory and imaging examinations, and the relationship between urinary ?-1 microglobulin,IgG and serum cretinine(SCr) were analysed. Results Urinary ?-1 microglobulin and urinary IgG correlated with SCr after renal transplantation in one month.Of all the 29 cases,14 experienced allograft function recovery(group A),and 15 failed(group B).Urinary ?-1 microglobulin decreased significantly in group A(P

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(7):877-881
With the development of organ transplantation for nearly half a century, currently the hot issues in clinical renal transplantation have already shifted to the application of low toxicity immunosuppressive drugs and their projects, as well as the research of technique which induces low or no immunity response to the specific donor. At present the main effective strategies of inducing immune tolerance are donor specific blood transfusion and donor specific bone marrow transplantation. This article summarizes the background, mechanism and clinical application of these two strategies.

Objective To investigate the activity changes of gelatinase in the formation of ascending aortic aneurysm. Methods Thirty five young Wistar rats were divided into two groups:the control group and the experiment group. The rat models induced by ascending aorta banding were made. The ascending aortas were taken after 3-5 months operation, changes of gelatinase activity was observed by gelatin zymography and film in situ zymography. Results Gelatinase activity of ascending aortic aneurysm was significantly increased compared with that of normal ascending aortic aorta. Conclusion Elevation of gelatinase activity may play a significant role in the formation of ascending aortic aneurysm.

Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2012;(12):1276-1278
Objective To investigate the current status of health education among nursing undergraduates,to analyze the existing problems and to bring up corresponding strategies for improving the health education ability for nursing undergraduates. Methods Totally 381 nursing undergraduates were recruited and investigated with a self-designed questionnaire.Aspects of students' cognition of health education, influencing factors of health education and the implementation of health education in clinic were investigated.Data were processed using SPSS 12.0 and percentages were calculated.Resuits 98.75% students understood the importance of heath education in nursing work. However, systemic training courses of health education for nursing undergraduates were insufficient in both colleges and hospitals.Meanwhile, clinical teachers' ability of health education was limited.Only 15.59%students provided health education for patients independently. Conclusions Nursing colleges and practicing hospitals should strengthen health education consciousness of nursing undergraduates, enhance faculty construction and should set up related courses to train the health education skills.

Objective To introduce the techniques and specification of complete-block radical gastrectomy, and to compare with traditional radical gastrectomy in the operative time, surgical costs and postoperative complications. Methods Thirty gastric cancer patients meet the criteria were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group A: complete-block radical gastrectomy;group B: radical gastrectomy. Analysis and comparison were made on tumor site, time consuming of block, the proportion of gastrointestinal reconstruction, operative time, cost of block, pathological TNM stage, length of stay, postoperative complications and postoperative chemotherapy. Results Group A has longer operative time than group B (P<0.05). However, there was no significant statistical difference in the other indicators between these 2 groups. Conclusions Complete-block technology can separate cancer more completely during operation with the advantage of simplicity, low-cost, little effect on the subsequent operation. The incidence of postoperative complications and length of stay with the traditional surgery there was no significant difference.
