Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of dual-plate for treatment of comminuted distal humerus fractures in adult. Meth-ods 28 patients with distal humeral fractures were treated with condylar anatomical plate interal fixation. The supracondylar fracture was fixed with condylar anatomical plating, and the two plates were kept in 90°with each other. Results The 28 cases were followed up average-ly 26 months (12 to 34 months). All fractures healed and there was no delayed union or nonunion cases. According to Cassebaum scoring system, there were 9 cases of excellent,14 cases of good, 4 cases of moderate and 1 case of bad. According to Morrey-Chao scoring system, there were 16 cases of cases,11 cases of good. The average time of bone healing was 10 weeks. Conclusion In treatment of comminuted distal humerus fractures in adult, open reduction and dual-plate internal fixation can get good clinical results. The placement of the dual-plate may depend on surgeon experience and preference and the fracture pattern present.

Objective To analyze the prevalence and economic burden of diabetes in Guandu district of Kunming. Methods We used probability proportional to size (PPS) sampling method to select representative sample of 4595 residents aged 18 or over from this district. Each participant received face to face questionnaire interview and physical examination. We applied different methods to measure the direct,indirect and intangible costs of diabetes. Results In the study population, the overall prevalence of diabetes was 6.2%,and females had higher prevalence of diabetes than males (6.2%vs. 5.6%, <0.05) . The DALY/1000 population of diabetes was 3.52, among which males and females were 5.18 and 6.70, respectively. Mean unit direct costs, indirect costs and intangible costs of diabetes were 3464.49 Yuan,84.48 Yuan and 4 045.97 Yuan,respectively. The total economic burden of diabetes was 401.84 million Yuan. Intangible costs represented the largest component of economic burden of diabetes,followed by direct costs. Conclusion The huge economic burden of diabetes has become the cause for concern in Guandu district. Effective measures are needed to reduce the economic burden of diabetes.

Objective To investigate the effect of gene silencing of Y-box binding protein-1(YB-1) by RNA interference on the proliferation and migration in prostate cancer cells lines PC-3 cells .Methods YB-1 siRNAs(pGenesil-1-YB-1-1 and pGenesil-1-YB-1-2) were synthesized and transfected into cloned into the the PC-3 cells by liposome .The expressions of YB-1 were measure by RT-PCR and Western blotting .The proliferation and migration were respectively detected by MTT and Transwell method . Results ThemRNA and protein expressions of YB-1 were significantly decreased by pGenesil-1-YB-1-1 and pGenesil-1-YB-1-2 (P<0 .05) ,compared with the control group ,the inhibition ratio of mRNA expression was 36 .23% and 39 .42% respectively and the inhibition ratio of protein expression was 41 .56% and 55 .33% respectively .The proliferation and migration were significantly decreased by pGenesil-1-YB-1-1 and pGenesil-1-YB-1-2(P<0 .05) .Conclusion YB-1 gene silencing by RNA interference inhibits the proliferation and migration in prostate cancer cells lines PC-3 cells .

AIM:To study the oral bioavailability of Silymarin-loaded Nanoparticles(SM-NP). METHODS: Beagle dogs were employed as experiment animals,Yiganling Tablet and Silymarin Extraction were used as the reference preparations.Three constituents were isolated on Ultimate~(TM) AQ-C_(18) column with mobile phase methanol:water(50∶50) at 0.8 mL/min flow rate using gradient elution and ESI ionic source and negative ion detection.Silybin plasma concentration in rat was determined by LC-M. RESULTS: The pharmacokinetics of the tested preparation and Yiganling Tablet met with one-compartment model.The relative bioavailability of three components of SMNP were higher than that of Yiganling Tablet. CONCLUSION: The results indicate that SM-NP has better bioavailability than the reference preparation,which confirms that nanoparticles is a good carrier for improving oral bioavailability of poorly-soluble drugs.

AIM To study the effect of ketamine on proliferation,cell cycle in the cultured rat neural stem cells. METHODS The growth inhibition of ketamine on neural stem cell was evaluated by an MTT assay. The effect of ketamine on cell cycle was measured by flow cytometry. RESULTS Ketamine inhibited the growth of cultured rat neural stem cells. Flow cytometry analysis showed that G 0/G 1 phase rate was increased but S phase rate was decreased. CONCLUSION Ketamine can inhibit proliferation of cultured rat neural stem cells,and this inhibitition is associated with cell cycle block.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate decision regret among patients receiving penile girth enhancement with acellular dermal matrix (PGE with ADM) and to investigate the potential indicators for decisional regret so as to facilitate the decision-making process for this special group. METHODS: In the study, 78 patients receiving PGE with ADM from Jun. 2016 to Jan. 2019 at Peking University People's Hospital and cooperative hospitals were eligible. Penile girth was taken by only one surgeon 1 week before surgery. Hospital anxiety and depression scale (HAD), international index of erectile function (IIEF) and a 10 cm long visual analogue scale named visualized penile image (VPI) were applied to measure psychological burden, erectile function and satisfaction with penile image respectively at the same time. All the patients were followed up for 3 months. Decision regret scale (DRS) was adopted for measuring decisional regret. Multivariate analysis of variance was applied to investigate the potential indicators for regret. Data analysis process was conducted with SPSS (version 24.0; SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA). RESULTS: Mean penile girth recorded before intervention was (8.29±0.30) cm and increased to (9.46±0.29) cm post surgery (t=76.28, P < 0.01). As for both subscales of HAD measuring psychological burden, a signi-ficant reduction in the mean score was seen, that is, 2.8±1.3 (t=19.28, P < 0.05) for anxiety and 3.0±1.2 (t=20.67, P < 0.05) for depression, respectively. The average score of VPI increased by 3.7±1.1 (t=30.63, P < 0.05). There was no significant change in the average score of IIEF measuring erectile satisfaction (t=1.60, P=0.11). Twenty-nine (38.2%) patients expressed regret to some degree, and the mean DRS score was 23.4±14.8. The scores of DRS correlated negatively with scores of visualized penis image (r=-0.348, P < 0.01), and positively with scores of anxiety (r=0.760, P < 0.01) and depression subscale (r=0.471, P < 0.01). The scores of DRS was irrelevant to those of IIEF (r=0.02, P=0.867). The patients with high annual income (> 120 000 yuan) and education level above undergraduate were more prone to experience decision regret after intervention (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION PGE with ADM did augment penile girth and lower psychological burden, the regret rate of which was acceptably low among the patients. High income and good education might indicate more post-operative regret. Additional decision-making aids should be offered to patients with high income and education level above high school.

A bacillus strain was isolated from the dejecta of the Giant Panda " Xiangxiang" returned to wild, afforded by China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center, Wolong Sichuan. By primary research, the strain was identified as Serratia and called as Serratia JF-1116. The 16S rDNA gene of the bacteria strain, was amplified , cloned and sequenced. BLAST of the sequence in GenBank indicated that the species with close similarity to JF-1116 were from genus Enterobacter only. The phylogenetic tree was producted from 16S rDNA of JF-1116 and other 18 Enterobacter species with the high similarity. JF-1116 was clustered with 3 strains of Serratia.

Objective To evaluate prourodynamic study and somatosensory evoked potentials(SEPs)before and after operation of children with lipomyelomeningocele(LMMC)and its clinical significance.Methods Urodynamic study(UDS)and SEPs in 31 cases of LMMC who underwent microsurgical release within 1 week preoperatively and 3 months postoperatively were conducted.The 4 parameters used for UDS evaluation were bladder volume,compliance,detrusor activity and residual urine;parameters used for SEPs evaluation were latent period and amplitude.Results There was a statistics significant difference between operation and control group;the similar result was attented in the comparison of before and after operation,also in the comprison of the improved group and the group without improvement after operation.Conclusions UDS and SEPs investigation can provide guidance for the treatment of tethered cord syndrome(TCS)and evaluate clinical prognosis.These cases with the severity changing in UDS and somatosensory shall be avoided unnecessary action in operation.

Objective To evaluate the damage degree of diseased kidneys in children with hydrone- phrosis using urinary?2-microglobulin(?2-MG),albumin(Alb),T-H glycoprotein(THP)and immuno- globulin(IgG).Methods The?2-MG,Alb,THP and IgG in pelvis urine in diseased kidneys and in healthy kidneys(as controls)were detected in 78 children with congenital hydronephrosis by radioimmuno- assay;at the same time urinary creatinine(Cr)was detected in 36 cases of them.Pathologic changes of the diseased kidneys were graded;and the correlations of pathologic grades with?2-MG,Alb,THP,IgG and?2-MG/Cr,Alb/Cr,THP/Cr,IgG/Cr were analyzed by Spearman's test.Results In healthy and hydro- nephrotic pelvises,the relevant parameters were as follows.Urine?2-MG was(130.06?22.02)ng/ml vs(386.18?42.15)ng/ml;Alb was(80.52?9.32)ng/ml vs(275.54?69.46)ng/ml,respectively (both P＜0.05).Urine?2-MG/Cr was(0.16?0.04)ng/?mol vs(1.57?0.39)ng/?mol;Alb/Cr was (0.11?0.03)ng/?mol vs(1.07?0.56)ng/?mol(both P＜0.01).THP was(25.80?9.02)ng/ml vs(31.43?10.56)ng/ml;and IgG was(15.21?3.56)ng/ml vs(20.52?10.85)ng/ml(P＞0.05). THP/Cr was(0.05?0.01)ng/?mol vs(0.14?0.06)ng/?mol;and IgG/Cr was(0.04?0.01)ng/?mol vs(0.12?0.05)ng/?mol(P＜0.05).There was significant correlation between urine?2-MG,Alb lev- els and pathologic grades(P＜0.05),also between?2-MG/Cr,Alb/Cr levels and pathologic grades(P＜0.01).There was positive correlation between THP,IgG and pathologic grades but with no significance(P＞0.05),also between THP/Cr,IgG/Cr and pathologic grades with significance(P＜0.05).Conclu- sions For hydronephrotic kidneys,urine?2-MG/Cr can evaluate the damage degree of nephric tubules, whereas urine Alb/Cr can evaluate that of glomeruli.Increase in THP/Cr and IgG/Cr respectively indicate the impaired nephric tubules and glomeruli in children with congenital hydronephrosis.

Objectives To analyze pathogen distribution and antimicrobial resistance of bacilli among children with otitis media. Methods Pathogenic bacteria was isolated from children with suppurative otitis media. The VITEK32 was used for iden-tification. The bacterial susceptibility testing was done by Kirby-Bauer method. According to CLSI standard the antimicrobial susceptibility was determined. Results From Jan 2010 to Dec 2012, 425 children with suppurative otitis media were examined. 347 strains were isolated, of which the detectable rate was 81.65%. The detectable rate of bacteria and fungus was 93.37%(324/347) and 6.63%(23/347), respectively. Among bacteria, the detectable rate of streptococcus pneumoniae was 40.92%(142/347) and staphylococcus aureus was 33.43%(116/347). The detectable rate of haemophilus influenza was 7.78%(27/347). The preva-lence of streptococcus pneumoniae is high in children aged 1-3years, with detectable rate at 47.09%. There was no statistical dif-ference among different age groups. The prevalence of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in middle ear secre-tion was 1.11%(5/45), 18.75%(9/48)and 30.43%(7/23)in 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively, with no statistical difference (χ2=3.86, P=0.145). The prevalence of penicillin-resistant streptococcus pneumoniae (PRSP) in middle ear secretion was 9.26%, 3.92%and 27.03%in 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively, with statistical difference (χ2=11.47, P=0.003). Conclusions Choosing correct therapy according to the result of middle ear secretion culture and antibiotics sensitive test can increase the recovery rate of otitismedia.
