Objective To assess compliance in liver transplant recipients, ascertain related factors, and help clinical nunrses take measures to improve compliance. Methods Questionnaires including social demo-graphic variables and questionnaire about compliance after liver transplant, were used to investigate 54 liver transplant recipients whose post transplant time>6 months. Results Liver transplant recipients had good compliance to immunosuppressive medication,scored(3.67±0.51),and health lifestyle,scored(3.30±0.44),but relatively poor compliance to follow-up.scored(3.05±0.89)and self-monitoring,scored(2.00±0.89).The main factors influencing the compliance were average monthly per capita family income(P<0.01)and post trans-plant time(P<0.01).Conclusions The importance of compliance to follow-up and self-monitoring should be emphasized in health education to the recipients and more attention should be paid to those re-cipients with lower income or longer post transplant time.

Objective To explore the correlation of single nucleotide polymorphism ( SNP ) in Nrf2 gene with acute mountain sickness ( AMS) among Han populations in China .Methods As a nested case-control study , 603 Chinese Han young men who had been quickly exposed to 3700 m were adopted and divided into case group and control group ( 369 vs 234,respectively) by Lake Louise Self-assessment Scoring System(LLSS).The Sequenom Mass Array system was used to detect the SNPs of rs10497511 and rs2364722 in Nrf2 gene. Results Alleles of rs10497511 and rs2364722 were respec-tively detected in both case and control groups , which were T-C and A-G.Statistically significant difference was not found in allele frequencies ( P>0.05 ) .Further analysis showed that there was still no significant difference between the codomi -nant, dominant and recessive genotype models (P>0.05).Conclusion rs10497511 and rs2364722 of Nrf2 gene may not be related to susceptibility to AMS in Chinese Han populations .

Virologica Sinica 2001;16(2):151-154
The reproduction of Helicoverpa armigera nucleopolyhedrovirus in the midgut epithelia cells and the other sensitive tissues was observed by electron microscopy. The reproducing viruses in the midgut epithelia cells were mostly without envelopes, and thte polyhedrons were seldom formed. The reproduciing viruses in the other sensitive cells were with envelopes, and packed in polyhedrons.

Aim To observe the effect of extracts of ginkgo biloba leaves(GbE) on platelet adhesion and thrombosis. Methods The platelet adhesion was assayed by rotating glass-globe method. The thrombogenesis method in artery-vein bypass was applied to observe thrombosis in vivo. The Chandler method was applied to induce thrombosis in vitro. The tail bleeding time was recorded by shearing tail method. Results GbE significantly decreased platelet adherence rate in rabbits, decreased the weight of thrombus produced in artery-vein bypass in rabbits, shortened the length and reduced dry weight of thrombus of rats in vitro, prolonged the tail bleeding time in mice. Conclusion GbE inhibits the platelet adhesion and thrombosis.

Objective To investigate the influence of indenter diameter on fracture strength and fracture mode of IPS e. max all-ceramic crowns using mechanical experiments and three-dimensional finite element (3-DFE) method, to validate the 3-DFE model using mechanical experiments, and to provide a guideline for occlnsal surface design for IPS e. max all-ceramic crowns. Methods A 3-DFE model of an all-ceramic crown on a molar was established using ANSYS10.0 software. The 3-DFE crown was loaded occlusally at three points to simulate the contact points of a hemispherical indenter loading on the crown. Two indenter diameters (4 mm and 10 mm) were designed by changing loading point, load level and its direction. The stress distribution and the principal stress in the 3-DFE model were calculated. Meanwhile, IPS e. max ceramic crowns were made on a laboratory model and loaded with indenters. The diameters of the indenters were also 4 mm and 10 mm respectively. Fracture mode and fracture-resistance of the crowns were recorded. Results The principal stress increased as load increases for both small and large indenters. Stress concentrated in the central fossa of the 3-DFE crown when loaded with the small indenter. Stress concentration appeared in the middle area of the occlusal surface mesio-distally when 3-DFE crown was loaded with large indenter. The fracture-resistance load was 600 N to 700 N for 4 mm diameter indenter, and 2500 N to 2750 N for 10 mm diameter indenter. Mechanical experiments indicated the same results as those from 3-DFE analysis. Conclusions Both the three-dimensional finite element analysis and the mechanical experiment showed the same results. When loaded with 4 mm diameter indenter, fracture occured in the central fossa of the crown, however, 10 mm diameter indenter usually caused extensive crown damage.

ObjectiveTo estimate the cognitive function of subarachnoid hemorrhage patients with negative digital subtraction angiography(DSA),and analyse its relevant factors and clinical characteristics. Methods 96 subarachnoid hemorrhage patients were selected, and the disease condition were classfied into different grades by Fisher scale,Hunt-Hess scale and the cognitive function were estimated by mini-mental state examination (MMSE),then calculated its incidence, analysed the relationship between the classification and cognitive impairments.ResultsThe incidences of cognitive impairment in subarachnoid hemorrhage patients with negative DSA were 51.04%.Cognitive impairment was closely related to Hunt-Hess and Fisher grade (P< 0.01 ).ConclusionSubarachnoid hemorrhage patients with negative DSA exist different extent of cognitive impairment. The higher Hunt-Hess or Fisher grade, the more serious cognitive impairment.

Objective To review the clinical features, etiology and differential diagnosis of hypopituitarism. Methods The clinical data of 260 patients with hypopituitarism admitted to our hospital during 2007 to 2011 were retrospectively analyzed. Results In 260 patients 96 were males and 164 were females, the average age of female patients was significantly higher than that of males[ (44 ± 16) vs.(32 ± 20) years; t =3.821,P =0.001 ].Patients under 20 years accounted for the highest proportion in male cases (38/96,39.6%) ; while patients aged 40 - 60 years were the highest proportion for female cases (86/164,52.4%).Pituitary tumor and postoperative damage was the most common cause for hypopituitarism accounting for 36.2% (94/260),followed by Sheehan syndrome (86/260,33.1%).The most common manifestation of hypopituitarism was anemia (102 eases) ; 26 cases presented all pituitary function failure. The causes leading to hypopituitarism usually showed specific manifestations in imaging examinations. The overall misdiagnosis rate was 40.4% (105/260)in this series, while that of etiological diagnosis was 25.4% (66/260).Conclusions This study suggests that hypopituitarism caused by different causes can be diagnosed by disease history, clinical manifestations and pituitary imaging examination.

Objective To study the influence of different anticoagulant tube of blood for blood plasma total homocysteine (tHcy) . Methods Six healthy subjects were selected, then the fasting venous blood samples were collected with EDTA-2k tube, sodium citrate tube and lithium heparin tube, respectively. The blood samples were kept under different conditions. The concentrations of tHcy were determined by quantitative HPLC method and the data were analyzed using SPSS17.0 software. Results Under the conditions of 4℃placed for 2 h, 4 h, 7 h, and- 20 ℃ placed for 1 d, 3 d, 5 d after separating plasma, the concentrations of plasma tHcy in different anticoagulant tubes were no statistical difference. In addition, after placing the whole blood at 4℃for 2 h, 4 h, 7 h, the concentrations of plasma tHcy of separated plasma in different anticoagulant tubes were no statistical differences. Conclusion There are no significant differences in determination of the concentration of plasma tHcy when using EDTA-2k tube, sodium citrate tube and lithium heparin tube sampling blood.
