OBJECTIVETo observe differences of therapeutic effects among acupuncture bloodletting, penicillin and acupuncture bloodletting combined with penicillin for children acute tonsillitis and providea better treatment method in cli nic.

METHODSSeventy-five mild cases were selected into section of mild symptoms while seventy-five severe cases were selected into section of severe symptoms. Cases in the two sections then were divided into, an acupuncture bloodletting group, a penicillin group and a comprehensive group by random digital table method separately, 25 cases in each one. Qu-chi (LI 11), Hegu (LI 4), Dazhui (GV 14), Shaoshang (LU 11) and Erjian (EX 11) were selected in the acupuncture bloodletting group, intravenous injection of penicillin sodium was applied in the penicillin group and acupuncture bloodletting combined with penicillin was applied in the comprehensive group. Efficacy assessment was conducted after 3 days in the section of mild symptoms and after 5 days in the section of severe symptoms.

RESULTSFor the section of mild symptoms, the total effective rate was 96.0% (24/25) in the comprehensive group and 92.0% (23/25) in the acupuncture bloodletting group, which were both superior to 68. 0% (17/25) in the penicillin group (P<0.05), but no statistical significance was seen between the comprehensive group and acupuncture bloodletting group (P>0.05). For the section of severe symptoms, the total effective rate was 96.0% (24/25) in the comprehensive group, which was obviously superior to 60.0% (15/25) in the acupuncture bloodletting group (P<0.01) and 68.0% (17/25) in the penicillin group (P<0. 05), and no statistical significance was seen between the acupuncture bloodletting group and penicillin group (P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe efficacy of acupuncture bloodletting combined with penicillin is little different from that of acupuncture bloodletting for treatment of children acute tonsillitis with mild accompanied symptoms, which were both superior to intravenous injection of penicillin sodium. For severe accompanied symptoms, the efficacy of acupuncture bloodletting combined with penicillin is obviously superior to acupuncture bloodletting and penicillin.

Objective To establish the reference databases for bone mineral density(BMD)in multiple skeletal regions,which would be useful for diagnosis of osteoporosis(OP)and prediction of fracture risk in adult women in Qingdao.Methods BMD was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry at skeletal regions of lumbar spine,left hip(femoral neck,Ward's triangle and greater trochanter)in 868 healthy adult women aged 25- 83 years and 191 women with fractures.BMD of skeletal regions with age-related change was found to fit in 8 kinds of regression models.Best model equations of fitting were found and the reference database was established.BMD of women with fractures was compared with the reference databases to predict the risk of fracture.Results BMD in 6 skeletal regions changed with aging and a cubic regression model was better fitted with aged-related change as compared with other regression models.The coefficients of determination(R~2)of fitting curve were 0.21?0.09 (P＜0.01).The BMD reference databases of women in Qingdao were established by cubic regression equation, the peak BMD of lumbar spine and hip appeared at 25-29,and 40-44 years old groups respectively.Finally,the BMD in fracture group was significantly decreased by 1.6-2.5 s as compared with the peak BMD of health women. Conclusion The bone quantity is lost rapidly after 45 years old in women.If the BMD in women after 50 years old is decreased by 1.6-2.5 s compared with the peak BMD in the same area,the risk of fracture is increased.

Objective To investigate the preventive effect of TGF-?_1 neutralizing antibody on flexor tendon adhesion from operation.Methods One hundred and eight leghon cocks performed anastomonsis op- eration were divieded into three groups randomly,as normal saline(control group),5?g/ml group,10?g/ml group of TGF-?_1,antibody.At 1 st,3rd,8th and 12th weeks respectively after operation,the flexor biomechan- ics test,HE staining,Masson staining,Sirius red-polarization staining and TGF-?_1 immunohistochemistry stai- ning were used.Results The max of strength of tendon and the stimulate active flexor from the experiment groups(5?g/ml group,10?g/ml) are higher than from the control group,The max of strength of tendon of the experiment groups are less at 8th weeks,and no difference at 12th weeks from the control group;Compared with the control group,the 10?g/ml group were less shorten the progress of inflammation and accelerated the progress of molding;In the experiment groups(5?g/ml group,10?g/ml),the density of the collagenⅠtype were less,the ratio ofⅠ/Ⅲcollagen and expression of the TGF-?_1 were decreasing.Condusion The study showed that applying of TGF-?_1 muhiclonal neutralizing antibody can inhibit efficiently the function of the TGF-?_1 during the flexor tendon repair,reduce tendon adhesion and scar fromation,however has no affec- tion of tendon intensity,suggesting it is a latent and efficient method for preventiong flexor tendon from adhe- ring after operation.

OBJECTIVETo provide evidence for three-level prevention of cholelithiasis by means of observing the effects of some choleretics on bile compositions drained from patients with pigment gallstone.

METHODSTwenty-seven patients suffering from primary pigment gallstones and having received treatment of choledochostomies plus T-tube or endoscopic nasal bile drainage (ENBD) were divided equally into three groups, and administered respectively with Lidanling (the LDL group), ursodesoxycholic acid (the UDA group) and combination of LDL and UDA (the LDL + UDA group) through oral intake (7 patients in each group). Besides, 6 post-operational patients got no treatment with any drug were allocated in the control group. Bile of all the patients was collected before treatment and on the 1, 3, 5, 7 th day after the treatment started to detect levels of total bile acid (TBA), glycocholic acid (GCA), taurocholic acid (TCA), glycocholic cheno-desoxycholic acid (GCDCA), total bilirubin (TBIL), uncombined bilirubin (UCB), concentration of calcium ion (Ca(2+)) as well as the bacterio-genetic and endogenous beta-glucuronidase activity for comparing.

RESULTSLevels of TBA, GCA, TCA and GCDCA got gradually increased in the UDA group and the LDL + UDA group after treatment (P < 0.05), while those in the LDL group remained unchanged, showing an insignificant difference as compared with those in the control group. In the LDL group and the LDL + UDA group, TBIL gradually increased while UCB gradually decreased in the course of treatment (P < 0.05). Moreover, levels of Ca(2+) and endogenous beta-glucuronidase activity got significantly lowered (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONCombined use of LDL and UDA could elevate levels of TBA, GCA, TCA, GCDCA, enhance the excretion of TBIL in patients with pigment gallstone after bile drainage, lower levels of UCB and Ca(2+) and the activity of endogenous beta-glucuronidase in the bile, so as to reduce the possibility of stone formation of bile, and therefore, it could be used to prevent the production of pigment gallstone, especially to prevent post-operative recurrence of stones.

OBJECTIVETo study the epidemical characteristics of influenza/novel influenza A (H1N1) in Shanxi province from 2009 to 2010, and to provide scientific foundations for predicting and controlling the pandemic outbreak of influenza/novel influenza A (H1N1) effectively.

METHODSAll samples were collected from cases that resemble influenza cases in sentinel hospital and influenza outbreak. The influenza were detected by PCR and isolated by MDCK cell culture method. Finally, Shanxi province surveillance data from May, 2009 to April, 2010 of influenza like illness (ILI) cases and pathogen detections were analyzed.

RESULTSIn Shanxi province, influenza viruses kept activation in whole year. The predominant pandemic strain in 2009 was novel influenza A (H1N1) virus. The strong peak was around November, 2009 [positive rate: 58.1%, novel influenza A ( H1N1) of the total: 88.1%]. As well, the people infected influenza caused by novel influenza A (H1N1) were mainly under 59-year-old, and the higher positive rates were concentrated in the people from 5-year-old to 24-year-old. In 2010, influenza B (Victoria) viruses were mainly detected from clinical specimens and became the dominant strain.

CONCLUSIONSurveillance of Influenza liue illnes, (ILI) and etiology, which can promptly reflect the influenza epidemic situation, play a significant role for understanding epidemic rule of influenza/novel influenza A (H1N1).

Five cadinane-type sesquiterpenoids were isolated from the n-hexane extract of Commiphora myrrha by using various chromatographic techniques, including silica gel, ODS and semi-preparative HPLC. Their structures were identified by physicochemical properties and spectroscopic data. These compounds were defined as (3S,4R)-3,9-dimethoxymyrrhone (1), 9-methoxymyrrhone (2), myrrhone (3), commiterpene B (4) and comosone Ⅱ (5). Compound 1 is a new compound, of which the absolute configuration was established by single crystal X-ray crystallographic analysis. Compound 5 is firstly isolated from the Commiphora genus.

Objective To evaluate the clinical safety and efficacy of percutaneous interventional therapy in pediatric patients with secundum atrial septal defect(ASD).Methods Clinical data of 40 patients(age≤2 years)with secundum atrial septal defect treated in our hospital from February 2014 to December 2017 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 13 males and 27 females in these patients.Ultrasound of heart showed that there were 37 patients with single ASD,3 patients with multiple ASDs.One associated with pulmonary stenosis(PS),and 1 associated with patent ductus arteriosus.There were 6 patients with pulmonary hypertension, and the diameter of ASD was (10.6 ± 2.0) mm. All patients were proved to have secundum atrial septal defect before intervention.In the intervention,the transport system was delivered along the femoral vein,inferior vena cava and right atrium through atrial septal defect to the left atrium,and the occluder was released there. Results Of the 40 patients, 38 cases were successfully implanted, and the other two patients were not satisfied with the location of occlusion.The diameter of the ASD occluder was(12.0±2.1)mm and the transport sheath 7-9 F.Plug2 occluder was implanted in the patient with patent ductus arteriosus.To the patient with PS,pulmonary valve balloon angioplasty was performed,and then the pressure gradient reduced obviously, after that ASD occlusion was performed. The total follow up period was from 2 months to 3 years.No residual shunt and unsatisfactory device position were found during the follow up period.The pulmonary pressure reduced to normal,and the right atrium and right ventricle were smaller in a different degree. All patients had no arrhythmia and other complications.Conclusion Transcatheter closure of ASD is safe,reliable,and has fewer complications.It is worthy of popularization and application.Appropriate occluder should be selected according to the size and edge of ASD to reduce complications,such as residual shunt and valve injury.
