AIM: To discuss the effects of preoperative vitreous cavity injection of ranibizumab on 25G minimally invasive vitreoretinal surgery (VRS) in patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR).METHODS: From February 2013 to December 2015,74 patients with PDR received VRS (82 eyes) were retrospectively analyzed.Patients were divided into VRS + IVR group and VRS group according to preoperative VRS treatment.VRS+IVR group: preoperative injection of ranibizumab (10mg / mL) at 3-5d before operation;VRS group: VRS only.We recorded VRS operation time, filling situation, iatrogenic retinal hole and so on.RESULTS: The operation time and coagulation times of VRS+IVR group were significantly lower than VRS group. The two groups in operation time and coagulation times were statistically significant (all P<0.05).In the VRS+IVR group, the number of cases of iatrogenic retinal hole and the use of silicone oil were lower than those of VRS group, the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).While the use number of C3F8 and perfusion fluid were not statistically significant (P>0.05).In VRS-IVR group within 3mo after operation,4 eyes appeared to vitreous body hematocele,VRS group was 13 eyes, the difference was statistically significant (x2=4.966,P<0.05).CONCLUSION: PDR patients with 25G minimally invasive VRS with preoperative therapy can reduce postoperative ocular bleeding, rate of retinal injury and silicone oil filling, shorten the operation time, the incidence rate and improve the success rate of surgery and reduce eye bleeding, postoperative complications such as adhesion.

AIM:To research the effects of lithium chloride on transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) and connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) in cultured human Tenon capsule fibroblasts (HTFs) and explore its mechanism.METHODS:HTFs were cultured and identified by vimentin staining with immunofluorescence and the morphological characteristics. The experimental group was processed 48h with LiCl in concentration of 80mmol/L, the control group without LiCl.The mRNA expression of TGF-β and CTGF in two groups were analyzed with real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (real time-qPCR) and the protein expression was detected with Western blot.RESULTS:The cultured HTFs expressed TGF-β and CTGF.The mRNA expression of TGF-β and CTGF significantly decreased compared with the control group(t=20.042, 14.995, P<0.05).the protein expression of TGF-β and CTGF also decreased significantly compared with the control group(t=46.058、12.452, P<0.05)CONCLUSION:The cultured HTFs can express TGF-β and CTGF in mRNA and proteins' level.LiCl can reduce the expression of TGF-β and CTGF both in gene and proteins' level.LiCl has the potential to modulate wound healing for glaucoma filtration surgery.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of low-dose erythromycin for the treatment of feeding intolerance in preterm infants in China. Methods In this study, random clinical trials on the treatment of feeding intolerance in preterm infants with intravenous low-dose erythromycin published were searched at Chinese Journal Full-text Database,Chongqing Weipu Database and Wanfang database by using the methods of Cochrane systematic review. At the same time the information from related journals, professional data and network were hand-searched.The publishing deadline for the literatures reviewed in this study was August 2012.Statistical analysis of clinical data was performed by using RevMan 4.2 software provided by the Cochrane Collaboration. Results A total of 9 studies were included. The results showed that compared with the group of comprehensive therapy, the group of low-dose erythromycin was superior in the following aspects with significant differences(P < 0.05):the average length of hospital stay, time of parenteral nutrition, time to full feeding, the incidence rate of feeding intolerance (Z =3.44,P =0.000 6 ; Z =6.78,P <0.000 01 ; Z =3.96,P < 0.000 1 ; Z =2.51,P =0.01).Conclusion Low-dose erythromycin therapy for feeding intolerance in preterm infants is superior to the comprehensive therapy. It provides a prospective therapeutic method for feeding intolerance in preterm infants. However, large scale, multicenter and well-designed clinical trials should be adopted to confirm the conclusions.

Objective To detect levels of IL - 4 and INF - ? in induced sputum dynamically in children with mycnplasma pneamo-niae pneumonia( MPP), and to analyze the function of Th1 /Th2 cell factor immune response in the genesis and development of MPP, so as to evaluate the clinical value of induced sputum method in MPP research. Methods There were 38 cases who were diagnoses as MPP using 3% high osmotic pressure of saline water to ultrasonic atomizing inhalation for inducing sputum. ELISA was used to detect IL-4 and INF-?. Results The content of IL-4 in acute stage was higher than that in convalescence stage in induced sputum of MPP children. Severe stage was higher than mild stage. However, the comparison between acute and convalescence stage didn't have statistics difference in the content of INF-?, neither did the comparison between severe and mild stage. IL- 4/INF- ? in acute stage was higher than that in convalescence stage. Severe stage was higher than mild stage. In convalescence stage, the comparison of INF - ?, IL - 4, IL - 4/INF - ? between the severe and the mild didn' t have statistic significance. Conclusions IL-4 and INF - ? have participated in the monogenesis of MPP. The disequilibria of Th1 /Fh2 is existed in MPP and Th2 reaction predominates. So induced sputum analysis can be a better way to judge the light or heavy press degree of MPP practically, conveniently and sensitively.

Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(10):1260-1263
In this paper, miRNAs features were briefly introduced and agreeable points were discussed from 4 aspects: organs relationship, syndrome research, Chinese medical pathogeneses, and actions of Chinese herbs. miRNAs, as information media for organs interrelation, was believed to explain Chinese medical pathogeneses and reveal partial molecular mechanisms of Chinese medicine. miRNAs in the body fluid could be taken as one of biological bases of syndromes.

Objective To establish a method for quality control of xinshuaining mixture. Methods The herbal contents including red ginseng, milk veteh, root of red rooted salvia were identified by thin layer chromatography ( TLC) and the content of ginsenoside Rb1 in xinshuaining mixture was determined by high performance liquid chromatography ( HPLC ) . Results The herbs can be overtly identified by TLC. Ginsenoside Rb1 had a linear relationship in the range of 1. 095-5. 475μg, and the average recovery was 97. 3%(RSD 1. 98%). Conclusion The method is simple and rapid, and can be used for the quality control of xinshuaining mixture.
