Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of 800 nm diode laser for removing unwanted hair of Ⅲ-Ⅴ skin type.Methods A total of 114 patients were treated with 800 nm diode laser on 234 sites.Four sessions were performed at an interval of 6-8 weeks.Percentage of hair reduction was evaluated 3 months after each session by comparing the terminal hair count to the baseline values.Follow-up was performed 6-8 months after the last session.In addition,subjective satisfaction of physicians and patients was evaluated according to a four-grade scale and the satisfaction rates were calculated.Results After fouth session,97.01％ of patients had more than 40 ％ hair reduction,and 83.33 ％ patients had more than 60 ％ hair reduction.Hyperpigmentation was observed on 15 (6.41％) sites,and disappeared after 6-8 months follow-up.The satisfactory rates of the physicians and the patients were 98.25 ％ and 96.12 ％,respectively,with no statistical difference (x2 =3.33,P＞0.05).Conclusions 800 nm diode laser for removing unwanted hair of Ⅲ-Ⅴ skin type is a safe and effective treatment option for hair removal,with relatively less side effect.

This study is to compare the influence of CYP2D6 *3 and *4 genotypes and phenotypes on the metabolic activity of CYP2D6 in Chinese Han, Uygur and Kazakh ethnic groups. Allele specific amplification (ASA) was used to determine the CYP2D6*3 and CYP2D6*4 genotypes. Phenotypes of CYP2D6 in all subjects were determined using dextromethorphan as probe drug by HPLC methods. Among the 132 Han subjects, one subject (0.76%) exhibited the *1/*3 combination, and one (0.76%) exhibited the *1/*4. Among the 136 Uygur subjects, 4 subjects (2.94%) showed the *1/*3 combination, 12 (8.82%) showed *1/*4, 4 (2.94%) showed *4/*4, and one (0.74%) showed *3/*4. Among the 116 Kazakh subjects, 2 (1.72%) exhibited the *1/*3 combination, 7 (6.03%) exhibited *1/1*4, and one (0.86%) showed *4/*4. This research revealed significant differences in the occurrence frequencies of the CYP2D6 genotype between Han and Uygur ethnic groups, as well as between Uygur and Kazakh populations. However, no difference was found between Han and Kazakh populations. In addition, the prevalence of PMs of the Uygur is comparable to that of the Caucasians. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the poor metabolism is different in these two populations.

AlM:To investigate the effects of pirfenidone ( PFD) on the proliferation and transfomring growth factor-β1 ( TGF-β1 ) expression in vitro culture rat corneal stromal cells.METHODS: Corneal stromal cells from 8 to 10wk SD rats were isolated, cultured and treated with different concentrations of PFD 0mg/mL (control group), 0. 15mg/mL (experimental group▏), 0. 3mg/mL (experimental group‖), 1mg/mL (experimental group Ⅲ) for 48h. CCK-8 assay was performed to assess cell proliferation, while immunocytochemistry and Western Blot were used to detect the expression of ki-67 and TGF-β1 expression, respectively. RESULTS: Compared with control group, PFD significantly inhibited the proliferation in a dose -dependent manner ( all P < 0. 05 ), so was protein expression of ki-67. PFD significantly down-regulated the expression of TGF-β1 in a dose-dependent manner (P<0. 05).CONCLUSlON: Pirfenidone can significantly inhibit the proliferation of rat corneal stromal cell by down regulating TGF-β1 expression, therefore, it has potential prospect in lightening the corneal wound healing reaction.

Abstract: Objective　To analyze the epidemic characteristics of soil-transmitted helminth (STH) by the spatial epidemiological method in Jiangxi Province. Methods　Surveillance data of STH in Jiangxi Province from 2016 to 2019 were collected for descriptive epidemiological analysis. The space-time permutation distribution of STH infection areas was analyzed with spatial autocorrelation, hotspot analysis methods and retrospective space-time permutation scan statistics. Results　The infection rates of STH were 1.32% (947/71 766), 1.14% (803/70 547), 0.87% (604/69 507) and 0.90% (628/69 620), respectively, and the differences were statistically significant in different years (P<0.01). The rates of hookworm infection were 0.65% (466/71 766), 0.64% (450/70 547), 0.48% (336/69 507) and 0.52% (362/69 620), respectively, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). The infection rates of Ascaris lumbricoides were 0.55% (393/71 766), 0.41% (287/70 547), 0.32% (221/69 507) and 0.32% (225/69 620), respectively, and the differences were statistically significant in different years (P<0.01). The infection rates of Trichuris trichiura were 0.17% (125/71 766), 0.10% (74/70 547), 0.08% (57/69 507) and 0.07% (49/69 620), respectively, and the differences were statistically significant among different years (P<0.01). The results of global spatial autocorrelation analysis showed that there was a spatial autocorrelation index Moran's I value of hookworm infection rate in 2016, Trichuris trichiura infection rate in 2016, 2018 and 2019, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The results of hotspot analysis, SaTScan and FleXScan spatial and temporal scanning analysis showed that there were high-value aggregation regions for each species in each year. Conclusion　The infection rates of STH, hookworm, Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura showed a decreasing trend and space-time clustering from 2016 to 2019. It should be taken into account in the formulation of control strategies.

Objective To explore the value of free anterolateral thigh flaps in the reconstruction of maxillofacial defects after resection.Methods Patients were recruited from January,2008 to March,2016 in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Nanjing University.All patients sunder when reconstructive surgery employing anterolateral thigh myocutaneous flaps follow-up of 3 months to 84 months after operation.Results Among 422 cases,survived completely with satisfied configuration,the survival rate was 98.6％.Postoerative vessel thrombosis occurred in flaps,21 patients required operative exploration in the perioperative period including 10 flaps with thrombotic events and 11 flaps with venous thrombosis were complete survival after the salvages,and 6 flaps were failure.The mean follow-up was 36.5 months (range:3 to 84 months).Conclusion The free anterolateral thigh flap is an ideal choice for reconstruction of maxillofacial defects,as it has many advantages such as abundance volume,easily molding and adjusting the thickness,possessing,long vascular pedicle,composition need to be adjusted according to defects,easily concealed donor site,and little donor site complications and malformation.

Objective To explore the dose rate response characterization of four kinds of dosimeters for clinical application.Methods Within the range of 100-600 cGy/min,the dose rate responses of the PTW 0.6 cm3 ion chamber,0.015 cm3 ion chamber,Matrixx Evolution 2D diode array and MapCHECK 2D diode array under the same measuring conditions were measured.The dose rate response of the PTW 0.6 cm3 ion chamber under different energy and working voltage were analyzed.Results All ionization chambe.r types of measured equipment showed certain dose rate dependence for 6 MV X-rays.All the differences were below 1％.The dose rate dependence disappeared for 15 MV X-rays.The 2D diode array had strong dose rate dependence and the response difference was about 2％.Conclusions It is necessary to test and analyze the dose rate response of the measured equipment in treatment technology with dose rate varying,in order to ensure the precision of daily calibration and dose verification.

Objective To discuss the clinical value of application of three-dimensional reconstruction technique of MSCT in examination of colonic tumours.Methods Thirty patients underwent scanning using helical CT and post-processing on the workstation.All CTC images were reconstructed using shaded surface display (SSD) on workstation.Perspestive images such as the ones from DCBE were generated via raysum.The images could clearly demonstrate the extent and detail of the disorder by adjusting the CT value threshold.These results and that of barium enema and colon endoscopy were compared.Results Thirty cases had completely clinical and pathological data.3D images could correctly reveal the macroscopic morphology of colon tract and location of lesions.The correctly diagnostic rate was 100％ by MSCT,while the diagnostic rate by CTVE and colon endoscopy was basicly identical.Conclusion With the utilization of multiple methods,3D reconstruction can effectively demonstrate colonic tumours,and can be applied routinely in examination of colonic tumours.

Methods From July 1999 to March 2004, laparoscopic high mass - ligation of testicular vessels according to Palomo procedure was performed on 31 boys who all presented with left varicocele Before and after operation at 1 month,3 and 6 months, the biggest vessel diameter of varicocele was measured by ultrasonography, testicular blood supply was evaluated by color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) ,and fastis was recorded in length, width and thickness by ultrasonographic measurement, which volume was calculated by the formula V =?/6 ? length ? width ? thickness. Also the ratio of left to right testicular volume was calculated, and the left testicle was thought atrophy if the ratio was below 75% The biggest vessel diameter of varix, testicular blood supply, and the postoperative testicular increasing volume were compared before and after operation. Objective:To assess the effects of Herbst two phase treatment on temporomandibular joint(TMJ) position analyzed by CBCT.Methods:15 patients of permanent dentition with class Ⅱ malocclusion combined with mandibular retrusion were treated by Herbst appliance as the 1st phase,then the 4 1st premolars of each patient were extracted,the fixed appliance of edgewise was applied as the 2nd phase of treatment.CBCT examination was carried out at the following stages:2 weeks before Herbst treatment(T1),at the start of the treatment when Herbst appliance was placed(T2),immediately after Herbst appliance was removed(T3) and immediately after the edgewise appliance was removed(T4).The InvivoDental software was used to calculate the joint space of TMJ from the three -dimensional CBCT images.The acquired data were then statistically analyzed.Results:During T1-T2-T3 stages,the anterior joint space was decreased and then increased,superior joint space and posterior joint space were increased and then decreased.During T3-T4 stages,the superior joint space and posterior joint space decreased further,but anterior joint space did not change.No significant difference was found in the anterior joint space,superior joint space and posterior joint space between T1 and T4 stage.Conclusion:At the start of treatment with Herbst appliance,the condyle is displaced in an anterior and inferior direction.At the end of functional treatment,especially the end of two phase treatment,the condyle is drawed back nearly to the original position.
