Objective To study the relationships among resilience, self-awareness, personality, stress level and mental health in the warship soldiers. Methods Resilience Scale for Adults ( RSA), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire ( EPQ), Self Acceptance Questionnaire( SAQ), General Self-Efficacy Scale( GSES), Wallance Self Concept Scale (WSCS), Psychological Stress Self-evaluation Test (PSET) and Symptom Checklist (SCL-90)were used to survey 1451 warship soldiers. Results ① 2.5% of the warship soldiers reported obvious psychological stress. Mental health of warship soldiers was worse than the norm of China population, except for obsessivecompulsive and interpersonal sensitivity factor. While the scores of other factors were significantly higher than the norm of Chinese soldiers(P<0.01). ②The total scores of SCL-90, psychological stress and resilience, internal/external had negative correlation with self-awareness, and positive correlation with neuroticism. Compared to the SCL-90-negative group,SCL-90-positive soldiers (SCL-90 total score > 160) had higher scores of nervousness and PSET and lower scores of RSA, internal/external and self-awareness (P < 0.01 ). ③Regression analysis showed that stress levels, emotional stability,self-awareness and resilience were able to predict 35.1% of mental health in warship soldiers. Mental health, emotional stability, internal/external and resilience were able to predict 33.2%of individual's stress level. Conclusion To some extent, warship soldiers have psychological stress and mental health problems. Resilience, personality, self-awareness are important factors affecting psychological stress and mental health.

OBJECTIVETo assess the effectiveness and safety on post-stroke dysphagia in chronic stage treated with magnetic-ball sticking therapy at the auricular points.
METHODSNinety cases of post-apoplexy dysphagia in chronic stage were randomized into an auricular points group and an acupuncture group. In the auricular points group, the magnetic-ball sticking therapy was applied to subcortex (pizhixia, AT4), brainstem (naogan, AT(3,4i)), mouth (kou, CO1), cheek (mianjia, LO(5,6i)), tongue (she, LO2) and throat (yanhou, TG3) on one ear each time, and were changed on the other ear once every 3 days. In the acupucnture group, acupuncture was applied to Feng-chi (GB 20), Yifeng (TE 17), Shanglianquan (Extra), Jinjin (EX-HN 12), Yuye (EX-HN 13), Shuigou (GV 26) and Tongli (TH 5), etc. The needles were retained for 30 min in each treatment. The treatment was gi-yen once a day in the two groups and the treatment of 6 days made one session. There was 1 day at an interval among the sessions. Totally, 3 sessions of treatment were required. The video fluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS) was performed for 4 kinds of food with different properties and shapes in each patient. The main indices were Rosenbek penetration-aspiration score, oral-retaining score and throat-retaining score. The efficacy, and the incidences of aspiration pneumonia and malnutrition were compared between the two groups. The nutrition indices were compared before and after treatment between the two groups, such as the skinfold thickness of triceps brachii muscle, serum albumin and peralbumin.
RESULTSIn 21 days of treatment, in the auricular points group, the 1 mL liquid loversol Rosenbek penetration-aspiration score (1.51 +/- 0.69), oral-retaining score (1.17 +/- 0.38) and throat-retaining score (1.30 +/- 0.66) were all lower than those (2.51 +/- 0.67, 1.63 +/- 0.72, 1.67 +/- 0.7) in the acupuncture group separately. The 10 mL liquid loversol Rosenbek penetration-aspiration score (2.27 +/- 0.65), oral-retaining score (1.60 +/- 0.50) and throat-retaining score (1.49 +/- 0.51) were all lower than those (4.19 +/- 0.73, 2.30 +/- 0.51, 2.41 +/- 0.50) in the acupuncture group separately. The 10 mL paste loversol Rosenbek penetration-aspiration score (1.68 +/- 0.81), oral-retaining score (1.11 +/- 0.31) and throat-retaining score (1.10 +/- 0.31) were all lower than those (3.91 +/- 0.68, 1.63 +/- 0.76, 1.60 +/- 0.76) in the acupuncture group separately. The 1/4 cake-form loversol Rosenbek penetration-aspiration score (2.60 +/- 0.65), oral-retaining score (1.40 +/- 0.50) and throat-retaining score (1.74 +/- 0.49) were all lower than those (4.14 +/- 1.10, 2.40 +/- 0.73, 2.30 +/- 0.83) in the acupuncture group separately. The incidence of aspiration pneumonia was 14.9% (7/47) in the auricular points group, which was lower than 55.0% (22/40) in the acupuncture group (P < 0.01). The incidence of malnutrition was 8. 5% (4/47) in the auricular points group, which was lower than 50.0% (20/40) in the acupuncture group (P < 0.01). In 21 days of treatment, the results of the skinfold thickness of triceps brachii muscle and serum albumin in the auricular points group were better than those in the acupuncture group (both P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe magnetic-ball sticking therapy at auricular points achieves the definite efficacy on post-stoke dysphagia in chronic stage and decreases the incidences of aspiration pneumonia and malnutrition. The efficacy of this therapy is better than acupuncture.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2021;40(4):438-443
Objective:To investigate the correlation of sleep disorders(SD)with serum levels of amyloid β-proteins(Aβ 1-42)and tau phosphorylated at threonine(P-Tau 181)in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD). Methods:A total of 126 patients with mild and moderate AD who met the inclusion criteria in the memory clinic, sleep clinic and geriatrics department of Jianghan Oilfield General Hospital affiliated to Yangtze University from February 2017 to January 2020 were included. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to evaluate sleep quality.Patients with PSQI scores ≥7 were included in the AD group with sleep disorders(AD-SD group), and patients with PSQI scores <7 were included in the AD group without sleep disorders(AD-NSD group). The Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA), Global Deterioration Scale(GDS), Clinical Dementia Rating(CDR), Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression(HRSD)and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale(HAM-A)were used to evaluate cognitive and psychosocial symptoms.During the same time, biological markers such as serum Aβ 1-42, Aβ 1-40 and P-Tau 181 were detected by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.Patients in the two groups received donepezil as an anti-dementia therapy, while the AD-SD group was treated additionally with a targeted sleep intervention. All patients underwent neuropsychological assessment and biochemical tests at enrollment and at the end of the 6th month, and results from all parameters at baseline and at the end of the 6th month were compared. At the end of the six-month treatment, patients in the AD-SD group were further divided into the recovery AD-SD sub-group and the no-recovery AD-SD sub-group based on the extent of sleep improvement. Results:Of the 126 AD patients, 93(73.8%)had sleep disorders. There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in gender, age, onset age, educational level, course of disease, CDR, GDS, MoCA, Aβ 1-40 or Aβ 1-42/Aβ 1-40(all P>0.05). The scores of PSQI, HRSD and HAM-A and serum levels of Aβ 1-42 and p-Tau 181 showed statistically significant differences between the AD-ND and AD-NSD groups( P<0.05 or P<0.01). At the end of the 6th month, the scores of PSQI, GDS, HRSD and HAM-A and levels of Aβ 1-42, Aβ 1-40, and P-Tau 181 also showed statistically significant differences between the AD-ND and AD-NSD groups( P<0.05 or P<0.01). There was no statistically significant difference in results from other parameters( P>0.05). Spearman correlation analysis showed that PSQI was correlated with HRSD( r=0.271, P=0.009), HAM-A( r=0.479, P=0.000), Aβ 1-42( r=0.470, P=0.000), Aβ 1-42/ Aβ 1-40( r=0.479, P=0.000)and P-Tau 181( r=0.371, P=0.000)in the AD-SD group at baseline.Multivariate Logistic regression model showed that serum Aβ 1-42 and P-Tau 181 levels and HRSD had predictive effects on changes in sleep quality in AD patients( OR=1.897, 1.269 and 1.889, P=0.000, 0.003 and 0.000). The areas under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves for Aβ 1-42, P-Tau 181 and HRSD were 0.926(95% CI: 0.860-0.991), 0.837(95% CI: 0.746-0.927)and 0.854(95% CI: 0.776-0.932), respectively. Conclusions:Sleep quality is correlated with serum Aβ 1-42and P-Tau 181 levels in AD patients.Elevated serum levels of Aβ 1-42 and P-Tau 181 and high HRSD scores are important predictors of SD in AD patients and may be used as indexes for clinical treatment efficacy.

Objective To investigate the clinicopathological features and prognostic factors in patients with low grade glioma. Methods Eighty- seven patients with low grade glioma confirmed by cytological examination were retrospectively analyzed. Results Among 87 patients, male accounted for 62.1%(54/87), and the average age was 36.2 years. The average followed- up time was 51.4 months (3-135 months), and 5 cases were lost in follow-up. The follow- up rate was 94.3% (82/87). The 3- year survival rate was 84.1%, and the 5- year survival rate was 66.7%. The 3- year survival rate was related to clinical symptoms, maximum diameter of tumor and the extent of resection (P<0.01 or<0.05);and the 5- year survival rate was related to years, Karnofsky score, clinical symptoms, maximum diameter of tumor, the pathology classification and extent of resection (P<0.05 or<0.01). Conclusions Low grade glioma is more common in male patients and patients under the age of 40 years. Age below 40 years, Karnofsky score ≥ 70 scores, only epilepsy symptom, tumor diameter below 6.0 cm, oligodendrogliomas, complete resection or subtotal resection are positive prognostic factors. Postoperative radiotherapy can reduce the rate of tumor progression.
