The exon 1 of the human androgen receptor gene contains CAG(polyglutamine) repeat length polymorphism. The CAG repeat sequence is closely relevant to many diseases. In this article, we reviewed the relationship between androgen receptor gene(CAG)n polymorphism anti primary liver cancer.

From the view of medical professionals, this paper explored the standards of residents′ competency cultivation in Zhuhai using Delphi method. The research outcome that consisted of 53 factors and 6 dimensions was obtained after two rounds of expert consultation. There are 6 first-level indexes including professionnalism and body-mind quality, clinical practice skill, the competency of lifelong learning and self-improvement, humanistic medicine practice skill, medical knowledge, and the competency of promoting the medical system to develop. As well, there are 18 second-level indexes and 29 third-level indexes. The standards stated that the clinical prac-tice skill would not be the main part of residents′competency cultivation. Qualified residents should reach the na-tional standard of the clinical practice skill but also the other five indexes.

AIM:To investigate the effects of 6,7-dimethoxycoumarins on the proliferation and the cell cycle of human lung carcinoma cell(PA)in vitro METHODS:The effects of 6,7-dimethoxycoumarins on the cytomorphology,growth and cell cycle of PA cells were evaluated by MTT assay and flow cytometry in vitro RESULTS:6,7-dimethoxycoumarins could inhibit the proliferation of PA cells in a dose-dependent manner The inhibition action of 6,7-dimethoxycoumarins plateaued at 160?g/ml(52 4% inhibition) The agent in dose of 80?g/ml led to a decline in the proportion of cells to those in G2/M phase,made the cells remain in G0/G1 phase and reduced the proliferation index(PI) of PA cells CONCLUSION:In vitro,6,7-dimethoxycoumarins can inhibit the proliferation of PA cells,which leads to arrest of the cells in G0/G1 phase by way of inhibiting DNA synthesis

To analyze the clinical characteristics,complications and management of Brucellosis.As a retrospective review,23 patients with Brucellosis admitted into Peking University First Hospital over a 10-year period were reviewed.Most of them were middle-aged males.Common presenting clinical manifestations included high fever,sweating,arthralgia and headache.Splenomegaly was more common than hepatomegaly.There were liver injury (n =15),transient proteinuria (n =6),secondary hemophagocytic syndrome (n =2) and renal failure with infective endocarditis,pneumonia with infective endocarditis,renal abscess (n =1).Most of them were treated effectively with combination therapy.The clinical features of Brucellosis are both complicated and atypical.

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of Mirizzi syndrome.Methods 6 cases of Mirizzi syndrome were analyzed with review of the latest literatures on its diagnosis and treatment.Results None of the 6 cases were definitely diagnosed by ultrasonography and CT.All of them underwent operations,five of them were cured and one died.Conclusions Ultrasonography and CT can give a hand to diagnosis.Definite diagnosis depends on ERCP and PTC.The specific conditions of the patients and the experience of surgeon decide the selection of treatment.Subtotal cholecystectomy and hepaticojejunostomy are the basic choices.

Objective:To study the influence of miR-221 in theβcells of mice with diabetic nephropathy (DN), and to clarify the protective effect of miR-221 on DN.Methods:Twenty wild type C57BL/6J mice aged 8 weeks were divided into control group and DN group (n=10).The DN mice models were constructed with 14 weeks of high fat diet,and 100 mg·kg-1 streptozotocin (STZ)was used to induce the partial insulin deficiency.10 weeks later the blood glucose,serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen content and 24h-urinary albumin excretion rate were detected.Theβcells of islet were isolated from the DN mice.The expression level of SOCS3 mRNA inβ cells of islet was valued by Real-time PCR.The proliferation of pancreaticβcells of islet was examined by MTT assay.The contents of insulin and insulin release levels in pancreaticβ cells of islet were detected by ELISA assay.Luciferase reporter gene assay was used to detect the luciferase reporter gene activity of SOCS3.Results:The DN mouse models were constructed successfully.The blood glucose,serum creatinine,blood urea nitrogen and 24h-urinary albumin excretion rate of the mice in DNA group were higher than those in control group (P < 0.05 ).After overexpression of miR-221,the expression level of SOCS3 mRNA in pancreaticβcells of islet and the proliferation ability ofβcells of islet of the mice in DN group were lower than those of normal islet cells (P < 0.05).Then luciferase reporter gene method found SOCS3 as one of the target genes of miR-221.After overexpression of miR-221,the insulin release level and insulin content in pancreaticβcells of islet were higher than those of normal islet cells (P <0.05).Conclusion:miR-221 can promopt the synthesis and secretion ofβ cells of islet and inhibit the dysfunction ofβcells of islet in the DN mice by down-regulating the SOCS3 level.

Objective To evaluate the value of endorectal ultrasound(ERUS)combined with real-time elastography in the staging of advanced rectal cancer in elderly patients.Methods A total of 50 patients with advanced rectal cancer underwent endorectal ultrasound and real-time tissue elastography imaging at our hospital from Jun.2014 to Oct.2015.Their staging results were compared with postoperative pathology.Results The accuracy,sensitivity and specificity of ERUS in the staging of advanced rectal cancer(T3)were 90％ (45/50),93.5％ (43/46)and 50％ (2/4),respectively.The accuracy,sensitivity and specificity of real-time elastography in the staging of advanced rectal cancer(T3)were 84％(42/50),89.1％(41/46)and 25％(1/4),respectively.With the combination of the two techniques,the accuracy,sensitivity and specificity in the staging of advanced recta[cancer(T3)were 96％ (48/50),97.8％ (45/46)and 75％ (3/4),respectively.There was no significant difference in accuracy and sensitivity(x2 ＝4.000 and 3.100,P＝0.373 and 0.542)between the three approaches.Kappa values between each of the three approaches and surgical pathology were 0.531,0.252 and 0.728,respectively.Conclusions Real-time tissue elastography in the diagnosis and staging of advanced rectal cancer can be enhanced when used in combination with endorectal ultrasound.

To develop a handling platform for loading, unloading, fixation, deployment, withdrawal and etc of medical materials in field conditions. Classified handling was performed for different function units with the de-vice developed, which was composed of a trolley, a railroad, a hydraulic handling board, a fixation belt and a vehicle-mounted tractor. The platform could enhance the efficiency of materials handling, which behaved well in the hos-pital without any handling device. The modular handling platform is easy to unload, carry, transport, fix and maintain, and thus is worthy popularizing practically.
