1.Effects of moxa-stick ignition locations on temperature of needle body and surrounding environment during warm needling.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effects of different ignition locations of moxa stick on temperature of needle body and surrounding environment during warm needling, so as to provide experimental references for clinical manipulation.
METHODSA high-accuracy infrared temperature measuring instrument was applied during warm needling to measure the temperature of needle body and surrounding environment at different ignition locations. The ignition method was divided into 2 ignition types with 4 measuring locations. The first method was to ignite moxa stick from upper-end to measure the temperature of needle body and surrounding environment 2 cm and 3 cm away from bottom-end of moxa stick; the second one was to ignite moxa stick from bottom-end to measure the temperature of needle body and surrounding environment 2 cm and 3 cm away bottom-end of moxa stick. Each ignition method was repeatedly measured for 5 times. The averaging values of measurement results which were processed with superposition method at identical time point were used to draw a temperature curve.
RESULTSWith any identical ignition method, the maintenance time of moxibustion temperature 2 cm away from bottom-end of moxa stick was longer by 3 min compared with that from 3 cm, for bottom-end ignition and upper-end ignition, in the case of 30 degrees C to 35 degrees, more ignition time could be kept from bottom-end ignition; in the case of more than 35 degrees C, the maximum temperature of needle body by upper-end ignition was higher by 5 degrees C than that by bottom-end ignition. The bottom-end ignition could achieve earlier effective initial time of moxibustion temperature. From the curves, bottom-end ignition was characterized by left-shift peak while upper-end ignition was characterized by right-shift peak.
CONCLUSIONThe ignition location of warming needling seems to be reasonable if moxa stick is ignited from bottom end which is 2 to 3 cm away from skin.

2.Relation of expression and significance of IL-25,IL-12 and IgE in children with allergic rhinitis

OBJECTIVE To investigate the relation of expression and significance of IL-25,IL-12 and IgE in children with allergic rhinitis.METHODS The concentration of IL-25,IL-12 were measured in 34 children with allergic rhinitis and 34 health control subjects by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and compare to them and relationship.RESULTS The concentrations of IL-25,IL-12,IgE in periodicitical allergic rhinitis(AR)were(42.64? 11.77)ng/L,(38.52?8.32)ng/L,(563.2?141.7) kU/L,respectively.And in persistence AR they are(57.51?5.36)ng/L,IL-12(29.31?11.69)ng/L,(625.6?104.3)kU/L.However,in control group,the concentrations of IL-25,IL-12 and IgE were(33.42 ?9.78)ng/L,(49.31?11.69)ng/L(209.7?113.2) kU/L,respectively.There were significant difference in periodicitical AR and persistence AR,periodicitical AR and control group,persistence AR and control group(P
3.Affinity Analysis of 20 Klebsiella pneumoniae Strains

OBJECTIVE To investigate the affinity of 20 Klebsiella pneumoniae(KPN)strains.METHODS Twenty nine genes were detected from 20 KPN strains.They were sixteen kinds of beta-lactamase genes,six kinds of aminoglycosides modification enzyme genes,chlorhexidine-sulphanilamide drug resistance genes,TMP drug resistance genes;three kinds of integrase genes and Tn21/Tn501 transposon genetic mark were detected.And they were used as molecule marker for the sample clustering analysis and assay of the detected results.RESULTS The beta-lactamase genes,aminoglycosides modification enzyme genes,chlorhexidine-sulphanilamide drug resistance gene,TMP drug resistance gene,integrase genes and Tn21/Tn501 transposon genetic mark were all detectable.Clone transmission was shown through the sample clustering analysis.CONCLUSIONS The resistance to the beta-lactam and aminoglycoside antibiotics of the 20 KPN strains is intimately correlated to the generation of beta-lactamases and amino glycosides modification enzymes,which could be clone transmitted.

5.Clinical significance of preoperative endovascular embolization in treatment of patients with vascularized me-ningioma

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and significance of preoperative superselective endovascular embolization in treatment of patients with vascularized meningioma.Methods 3-9 days before operation, 98 patients with vascularized meningioma underwent DSA and preoperative superselective embilization with PVA particles, gelatin sponge, and silk. The surgical intervention was performed after embolization. Results The vascularized meningioma was mainly supplied by the middle meningeal artery, ascending pharyngeal artery, occipital artery, internal maxillary artery as well as submeningeal artery. After the supplying artery was embolized, tumors' staining in 42 cases disappeared completely and that of 56 cases disappeared totally or partly. Most patients were operated on 3-9 days after embolization. 64 tumors were removed completely, while other 34 cases were removed totally or partly. The average volume of bleeding during the operation was 950 ml in the former and 1 500 ml in the latter.Conclusions The best time for operation is 7~9 days after embolization. Preoperative embolization of the vascularized meningioma contributes to reduce the bleeding significantly during the operation, increase the safety of the operation and improve the total removal of the tumor. It is a safe and effective microinvasive method.
6.Effects of safflower yellow pigment on plasma D-D and β-HCG levels in patients with conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy

Objective To investigate the effect of safflower yellow pigment on plasma D-dimer (D-D) and β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG) in ectopic pregnancy patients.Methods 96 patients with conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy from April 2014 to April 2016 in our hospital were divided into control group and experimental group according to the method of drawing lots.The control group was treated with routine therapy, the experimental group was treated with safflower yellow pigment based on the control group.Pelvic mass disappearance time, D-D, β-HCG, vascular endothelial growth factor, carbohydrate antigen 125 and safety of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group(97.91%) was higher than that of the control group(83.33%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) .The time of disappearance of pelvic mass in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group (P<0.05); the levels of VEGF and CA125 in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05 ) .There was no difference in safety between the two groups. Conclusion Conventional therapy plus safflower yellow pigment can promote the absorption of pelvic mass and reduce the levels of plasma D-D and β-HCG in the conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy.

Objective:To investigate the changes of calcitonin gene-related peptide immunoreactive (CGRP-IR)nerve fibers in rat dental pulps during acute inflammation. Methods: Rat acute pulpitis model was established by silk thread ligation and the change of CGRP-IR nerve fibers was observed with immunohistochemical method.Results: In radical pulp,the CGRP-IR nerve fibers became denser and more heavily stained;in the coronal pulp,the number of CGRP-IR nerve fibers decreased,but the background staining was heavier. Conclusion: During acute inflammation,the amount of CGRP increases in dental pulps, and is released into the surronding tissue in a large scale in the coronal region.
8.A study on DH-1/Notch signal transduction pathway in colorectal cancer

Objective To study the relationship of Dll-1/Notch signal transduction pathway with the pathological characteristics of colorectal cancer and the effect on proliferation and apoptosis of colorectal cancer cells. Methods We assessed Notchl and Dll-1 protein levels in 63 cases of colorectal cancer and adjacent normal tissue by Western blotting.SW480 cells were treated with DAPT (γ-secretase inhibitor) at different treating times.MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to measure the proliferation and apoptosis of SW480 cells,seperately.The expression of the intracellular domain of Notch (NICD),Hes-1 and Bcl-2 were measured by Western blotting.Statistical methods were used including independent samples t test,paired sample t test and single factor analysis of variance. Results Notch1 and Dll-1 protein level increased in colorectal cancer tissues compared with adjacent normal mucosa,the mean values were 1.75-fold and 2.21-fold,respectively(t =2.554,P =0.012 and t =3.565,P =0.005).Also we found that the overexpression of Notch1 and Dl1-1 was related to the differentiation( t =2.463,P =0.017 and t =2.390,P=0.019),staging(t =2.675,P =0.007 and t =2.310,P =0.021) and lymph nodes metastasis(t =2.229,P =0.021 and t =2.210,P =0.023) of colorectal cancer.Treating SW480 cell with Notch pathway inhibitor (γ-secretase inhibitor,DAPT) resulted in growth inhibition,apoptosis induction and there was downregulation of NICD and Bcl-2 expression along with the treating time. Conclusions Overexpression of Notch1 and Dll-1 is related to the pathological characteristics of colorectal cancer.Blockade of Notch1 signal pathway may inhibit cell proliferation and induce cell apoptosis of colorectal cancer,as well as inhibit the expression of Bcl-2.
9.Monitoring of Serum Concentrations of Western Medicine Ingredients in "Traditional Chinese Antiepileptic Medicines" and Analysis of Curative Effects

OBJECTIVE:To determine serum concentrations of western medicines in patients treated with "traditional Chinese antiepileptic medicine" alone and to evaluate the curative effects.METHODS:A total of 60 epileptic patients who visited our hospital between Feb.1997 and June 2006 were subjected to plasma drug level monitoring and during which the patients were treated with "traditional Chinese antiepileptic drugs" alone.Plasma concentrations of 4 kinds of western medicin-es were determined by FPIA.RESULTS:Of the 60 cases,valproic acid,carbamazepine,phenytoin and phenobarbitone were detected in 18,40,41,and 47 cases/times,respectively.On average,more than two kinds of western medicines were detected in every patient,and the blood concentrations were mostly beyond effective plasma drug concentration.The total curative effects were unsatisfactory.CONCLUSION:The fact that western medicine ingredients detected in these traditional Chinese antiepileptic medicines is inconformity with medication principle of epilepsy.Traditional Chinese antiepileptic medicines should be used with caution in the clinic in the treatment of epileptic patients.
10.Expression of IFN-? and IL-12 in patients with allergic rhinitis

OBJECTIVE To explore the relationship between allergic rhinitis and IFN-?, IL-12. METHODS The expression of IL-12 was detected by in situ hybridization and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in 37 patients with allergic rhinitis and 12 control samples. IFN-? was detected by ELISA. RESULTS The positive ratios of IL-12 in PBMC were 0.13?0.03 and 0.77?0.15 in allergic rhinitis group and control group respectively. The concentrations of IL-12 were (13.7?2.4 ) pg/L and (52.9?8.4 ) pg/L in allergic rhinitis group and control group respectively. The concentrations of IFN-? were (11.2?2.1 ) pg/L and (51.8 ?6.4) pg/L in allergic rhinitis group and control group respectively. CONCLUSION The down-regulation of IL-12 and IFN-? was related to allergic rhinitis, and hyper-function of Th2 cells may play an important role in the pathogenesis of allergic rhinitis.
