ObjectiveTo assess the values of 320-detector row dynamic volume CT angiography (CTA) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) in follow up of coronary artery aneurysm (CAA) caused by Kawasaki disease (KD).Methods320-de-tector row CTA and TTE were applied in long-term follow-up of 8 patients with CAA caused by KD.ResultsIn 8 patients, the mean age at onset was 41.63±22.70 months and the mean follow up time was 43.50±10.99 months. In acute phase, 3 cases of giant coronary artery aneurysms (GCAA) and 5 cases of mid-small CAA were diagnosed by TTE. A total of 16/32 arteries (50%) were involved. At the end of follow-up, 3 cases of GCAA and 2 cases of mid-small CAA were still diagnosed by TTE, and small CAAs were regressed in another 3 cases. A total of 6/32 arteries (18.75%) were involved. Simultaneously at the end of follow-up, a total of 7/32 arteries (21.9%) were involved by 320-detector row CTA. The distribution was consistent with that of TTE. Mean-while, there were one case of left circumlfex artery, one case of GCAA at distal of the right coronary artery, 2 cases of thrombus, 1 case of coronary stenosis and 2 cases of calciifcation.ConclusionsCAA caused by KD may be persistent for a long time. The thrombus, stenosis, and calciifcation of coronary can occurr at late phase in GCAA. TTE is sensitive and reliable to detect proxi-mal and middle segment of coronary lesions, but has limitations in detection of distal segment of coronary arteries. 320-detector row CTA has more comprehensively view of each coronary artery lesions and is especially sensitive and reliable to detect coro-nary thrombosis, calciifcation and narrowing in proximal and distal coronary arteries after acute phase.

Objective To compare the effect of thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgery with conventional thoracic surgery on esophageal cancer and its influence on pulmonary function. Methods Ninety?four patients with esophageal cancer treated in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College from March 2010 to March 2016 were selected and were divided into the control group ( 54 cases) and the study group ( 40 cases) according to operation methods. The control group received traditional thoracotomy. The study group received thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgery. The operation and pulmonary function indexes were compared. Results The operation time of the patients in the study group was significantly longer than that in the control group ( (218. 1±35. 8) min vs. (192. 3±40. 1) min,t=3. 23,P<0. 05). Intraoperative blood loss of the patients in the study group was significantly less than that in the control group ( (286. 4±83. 5) ml vs. (343. 7 ±96. 7) ml,t=3. 01,P<0. 05) . The number of lymph nodes cleared of the patients was significantly higher in the study group ( (18.0±5.4) node vs. (15.5±4.6) node,t=2.42,P<0.05).Thoracic drainage of the patients in the study group was significantly less than that in the control group ( (650. 3±61. 3) ml vs. (1153. 5 ±133. 7) ml,t=22. 12,P<0. 05). Chest tube pull out time in the study group was significantly earlier than that in the control group ( (5. 1±1. 3) d vs. (8. 0±1. 8) d,t=8. 65,P<0. 05). First exhaust time in the study group was significantly earlier than that in the control group ( (33. 2±6. 7) h vs. (40. 7±7. 3) h,t=5. 10,P<0. 05). Hospital stay in the study group was significantly shorter than that in the control group ( ( 13. 8 ± 2. 8 ) d vs. (18. 2± 3. 6) d, t=6. 42, P<0. 05) . Postoperative complications occurred in 4 cases in the study group, accounting for 10%, significantly lower than that in the control group, 15 cases, 27. 8%, the difference was statistically significant (χ2=4. 50,P<0. 05) . There was no significant difference between the two groups (χ2 = 0. 01, P> 0. 05 ) . Conclusion Thoracoscopic and laparoscopic surgery for esophageal cancer has the advantages of small trauma,rapid recovery and low incidence of complications and obvious protective effect on pulmonary function. It is safe and feasible.

Helicobacter pylori(Hp) is an important pathogenic factor in chronic gastritis,peptic ulcer and gastric cancer.With the extensive use of broad-spectrum atibiotics in recent years,the antibiotic resistence of Hp was increasing,together with many side effets and low patient compliance,so the study of new anti-Hp drugs became a research hotspot.Domestic and foreign scholars had extracted active anti-Hp ingredients from the traditional Chinese drug curcuma,they hope to open a new way for the treatment of Hp infection.This paper was to make a brief overview on the study progress of effect of curcuma on anti-Hp.

The regulation mechanism of arecoline on rat hepatic CYP2E1 was studied in vivo. After oral administration of arecoline hydrobromide (AH; 4, 20 and 100 mg x kg(-1) x d(-1)) to rats for one week, the hepatic CYP2E1 mRNA level remained unchanged, but the hepatic CYP2E1 protein content was dose-dependently increased. Additionally, although the hepatic CYP2E1 activity was induced by AH treatment, the induction was attenuated with the increase in dosage. The results indicate that the effect of arecoline on rat hepaticdoes not involve transcriptional activation of the gene, but largely involves the stabilization of CYP2E1 protein against degradation or increased efficiency of CYP2E1 mRNA translation, and additionally involve the post- ranslational modification of CYP2E1 protein. Furthermore, the CYP2E1 response is fairly equal among the different species, the induction of rat hepatic CYP2E1 by arecoline suggests that there is a risk of metabolic interaction among the substrate drugs of CYP2E1 in betel-quid use human.

AIM: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of one transscleral sutured fixation intraocular lens implanted in the capsular treating traumatic lens dislocation.
METHODS: Twelve eyes with lens subluxation from 12 patients during Mar. 2013 to Mar. 2015 were reviewed. The stopping and chopping method combined with manual nuclear extraction was performed in extent of lens subluxation less than 1/2 quadrant and transscleral sutured fixation intraocular lens implanted in the capsular. Visual acuity, best - corrected visual acuity, intraocular pressure, corneal endothelial cell count and the position of IOL were observed and recorded.
RESULTS: All the surgeries were performed successfully. Patients were followed up for 6 - 12mo. During the follow-up period, the number of eyes for BCVA ≥0. 8, 0. 4 - 0. 6 and ≤0. 3 was 2, 7 and 3, respectively. It meant 66. 67% of the eyes showed BCVA in 0. 5-0. 6. Intraocular pressure and the position of all intraocular lens were normal. Effects of operation on corneal endothelial cells were slight. No complications took place in and after surgery.
CONCLUSION: Without implanting capsular tension ring ( CTR ) , we successfully use the intraocular lens ( IOL) single loop suture fixation in the capsular bag for the treatment of the patient with traumatic lens dislocation. It indicates that the pressure and place shift from the use of IOL avoided by this method without implantation of CTR. This method is safe and effective for the treatment of eyes with traumatic lens dislocation.

After 28 foreign species of AM fungi were inoculated in sterilized soil, the effects of the AM mycorrhizal colonization and the medicine quality of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis were observed by combination of inoculation test in pot at room temperature and instrumental analysis. The results showed that, compared with control group (CK), the inoculation of foreign AM fungi in the soil influenced the spore density, mycorrhizal infection rate, and colonization intensity of AM fungi in root system of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. The inoculation of foreign AM fungi enhanced the mycorrhiza viability of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis by increasing the activity of succinic dehydrogenase (SDH) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in intraradical hyphae. The content of single steroid saponin in rhizome of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis showed variation after P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was inoculated by different foreign species of AM fungi, which was beneficial for increasing the medicine quality; however, the kinds of steroid saponin showed no difference. In a degree, there was a selectivity of symbiosis between P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis and foreign AM fungi. And we found that the Claroideoglomus claroideum and Racocetra coralloidea were best foreign AM fungi species for cultivating P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis under field condition.
