Objective To study the therapeutical effect of glutathione(GL),a powerful antioxidant on the symptoms and ECG in patients with coronary heart disease and its mechanisms. Methods Eighty-five subjects with coronary heart disease were recruited(45 male and 40 female). The patients were randomized to receive GL (240 mg,ivgtt,qd,for 14 days,n=44)on the top of conventional treatment(aspirin+?-blocks+ACEI)or conven- tional treatement alone(control,n=41).The serum MDA,SOD,NO levels were determined.Electrocardio- graphy(ST stage,T wave)was examined. Results GL significantly improved clinical symptoms scores(2.0+0.5 vs control:1.5+0.5,P

Objective To assess the effect of two-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (STI) on prognosis of patients with acute infarcted myocardial(AMI).Methods Eighty patients with AMI and 30 healthy subjects were selected as our subjects.Among the AMI patients, there was 30 cases were emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI),25 cases were selective PCI group and 25 cases with conservative. All were performed a 4-6 months following up after discharge from hospital.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) was measured by Simpson's.Rotation were measured in the left ventricular basal and apical short-axis views using STI.LV Peak twist (Ptw),apical Peak rotation (PAR),the basal Peak rotation (PBR),twist at aortic valve closure(AVC tw),twist at mitral valve opening(MVO tw),untwisting rate (Untw R),and half time of untwisting (HTU) were calculated. And the correlation between Ptw and LVEF was analyzed. Results Compared with the control group, the value of Ptw,PAR,AVC tw and MVO tw were significantly decreased in myocardial infarction group(F =22.481,12.899,18.923 ;P < 0.05).Ptw,PAR in emergency PCI group at following up periods were (18.61 ± 8.08) ° and (12.16 ± 6.98) °,higher than that in hospital periods ((13.76 ± 6.31) °,(7.03 ±5.76)°).Ptw,PAR in selecting PCI group were (19.5 ±7.73)° and (13.4 ±7.02)°,higher than that in hospital periods((15.25 ± 6.83) °,(9.69 ±.6.72) ° ; t =-2.607,-3.104,-2.079,-1.955 ; P < 0.05).Significant correlation was found between Ptw and LVEF (r =0.527,P < 0.05).Conclusion Left ventricular twist can be measured using STI.LV rotation can be the quantitative index to evaluate the systolic function of LV.STI can be the new method to guide clinic diagnosis and therapy.

Objective To evaluate the effects of ulinastatin on acute lung injury during ortho- topic liver transplantation(OLT).Methods Twenty ASAⅢ-Ⅳpatients with end-stage liver disea- ses.undergoing OLT were randomly divided into two groups.Ulinastatin group received intravenous infusion of ulinastatin(3?10~4 IU in 100 normal saline)after skin incision and every 4 h thereafter(n =10).Control group received same amount of normal saline instead of ulinastatin(n=10).Blood sam- pies were taken before skin incision,120 min after skin incision,30 min after liver was removed,5 min and 60 min after reperfusion of the graft and at the end of operation for determination of plasma IL-6, IL-8,TNF-?,MDA concentrations and SOD activity.Respiratory index(RI)[P_(A-a)DO_2/PaO_2]was cal- culated before skin incision,30 min after liver was removed,5 min and 60 min after reperfusion of the graft and at the end of operation. After anesthesia was induced, cardiac output, mixed venous oxygen saturation and central venous temperature were continuously monitored during operation.ECG,CVP, SpO_2,P_(ET)CO_2,radial artery and MPAP were also continuously monitored during operation.P_(ET)CO_2 was maintained at 35-40 mm Hg during operation.Blood temperature was maintained above 35.5℃during operation. Results In group C plasma IL-6 and IL-8 concentrations were significantly increased from 120 min after skin incision to the end of operation as compared with the baseline values(P0.05).RI was significantly lower at 60 min after reperfusion of the graft and at the end of operation in group U than in group C(P

Objective To evaluate the role of TCD examination in diagnosis of the early cerebrovascular diseases in aged diabetic patients. Methods 179 cases of aged type Ⅱ diabetic patients were divided into three groups(PDR,BDR and NDB)according to their retinopathy.TCD and retina examination were performed in all patients and the data be analysed. Results (1)The systolic peak flow velocity(Vp) of MCA、ACA、ICA and BA were significant increased in diabetic pa- tients than in normal control group(P

Bulletin of The Academy of Military Medical Sciences 2010;34(1):1-4
Biotechnology supremacy is a newly-advanced power theory. It is a superior dominance of military biotechnological application based on the microcosm of life structure within a certain period of time. The advancement of biotechnology supremacy and modern biotechnology has created the concept of bio-micro-frontier, which involves information and defense resources of all living ultra-micro-organisms with national and regional characteristics. Being feasible both in theory and practice, the implementation of bio-micro-frontier system is strategically important. This article explores the implementation of bio-micro-frontier in terms of strategy and tactics, which will add a unique dimension to future military transformation and active defense.
7.Therapeutic effects of Shenfu Injection on post-cardiac arrest syndrome.
Chinese journal of integrative medicine 2013;19(9):716-720
Survival rates after cardiac arrest have not changed substantially over the past 5 decades. Postcardiac arrest (CA) syndrome (PCAS) is the primary reason for the high mortality rate after successful restoration of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). Intravenous administration of Shenfu Injection (, SFI) may attenuate post-CA myocardial dysfunction and cerebral injury, inhibit systemic ischemia/reperfusion responses, and treat underlying diseases. In this article, we reviewed the therapeutic effects of SFI in PCAS. SFI might be useful in the treatment of PCAS, incorporating the multi-link and multi-target advantages of Chinese medicine into PCAS management. Further experimental and clinical research to verify the therapeutic effects of SFI in PCAS is required.

This article mainly summarise the results of the chemical compositions and their pharmacological activities of Arnebiae Radix since 1966. The chemistry components isolated from Arnebiae Radix are mainly naphthoquinone, monoterpene phenol and quinone, phenolic acids and their salts, alkaloids, aliphatic and esters. Pharmacological results showed that the chemical compositions and the extracts of Arnebiae Radix have antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, hepatoprotection, antioxidant, anti-tumor and immune function and other activities. This article hopefully to provide a reference for further research, development and utilization of Arnebiae Radix.

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2000;0(04):-
Objective To evaluate the effect of operation on aged women with breast cancer. Methods The clinical data of the 166 patients recruited from 1989 to 2004 were retrospectively analyzed. Results One hundred and sixty six patients were all treated by operation. The modified radical mastectomy was performed in 98 cases(59.0%), radical masteetomy in 21 cases(12.7%), mastectomy in 29 cases (17.5%), palliative operation in 18 cases (10.8%). After operation, one hundred and twenty six patients received chemotherapy, twelve radiotherapy and 73 endocrine therapy. The rates of postoperative complications were 10.8%, no patients died during operation. The overall postoperative 3-and 5-year survival rates were 82.2% and 65.2% respectively. Conclusions The effect of surgical treatment and its combination with other adjunct therapies is satisfactory for aged women with breast cancer. Different types of operations should be performed for different patients. Ageing is not a contraindication of the operation. Surgery should be combined with medical therapy to reduce the concomitant diseases and postoperative complications.
