1.Tumor associated gene PFTK1
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(2):100-102
PFTK1,an important member of cyclin dependent kinase Cdc2 family,is over expressed in many malignancies.PFTK1 involves in multiple processes, such as regulation of cell cycle, tumor invasion and metastasis, and the Wnt signal transduction pathway, which has a significant impact on prognosis of tumor.
2.Advances in the stem cell-like side population cells
Tianjin Medical Journal 2016;44(4):505-508
Recently, stem cell like side population (SP) cells have been found in many normal organizations and malig?nant tumors, which have the proficiency of differentiation and self-renewal. These cells play an important role in cancer stem cell research, though they occupy a low proportion in total cells. Here, we reviewed the foundation of SP cells, and their rela?tionship with stem cells, and the clinical application in the future.
3.Effect of 8-nitrochyrsin on the proliferation and apoptosis of HL-60 cells
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2006;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the effect of 8-Nitrochyrsin on cell proliferation and cell apoptosis of HL-60 cells in vitro. Methods 8-Nitrochyrsin on proliferation of HL-60 cells was detected by MTT assay; The trypan blue exclusion method was used to count the number of viable and dead cells, then the survival rate and growth curve were achieved;DNA ladder bands were observed by DNA agarose gel electrophoresis;HL-60 cell apoptotic percentage was detected by flow cytometry with PI staining. Results 8-Nitrochrysin inhibited proliferation of HL-60 cells in a concentration-dependent manner;8-Nitrochyrsin possess the inhibitory effect on the proliferation and growth of HL-60 cells;8-Nitrochrysin possess the significantly effect of inducing apoptosis of HL-60 cells. Conclusion 8-Nitrochyrsin possess the inhibitory effect of the proliferation and growth of HL-60 cells and significantly induces apoptosis of HL-60 cells.

Objective To understand the common complications of PICC in olinical use. Methods Retrospectively summarize the data of PICC used in patients of SICU in 1999. Results In 1999, there were 14 pateints using PICC, among them 12 patients were male and the others were female. The average age was 71 years old. Embolus 4 cases' PICC were pulled out. Phlebitis occured in only one case. There are 2 patients presenting hyperpyrexia pulled the PICC out. But the cultures of PICC were negative. Conclusions The common complications of PICC are embolism, phlebitis and infection.
7. Chemical constituents of Vitis thunbergii var. taiwaniana
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2013;44(6):660-664
Objective: To study the chemical constituents in Vitis thunbergii var. taiwaniana specially grown in Taiwan, China. Methods: The compounds were isolated by repeated HP20 macroporous adsorption resin column combined with Sephadex LH-20, ODS, and silica gel column chromatography. Their structures were identified on the basis of extensive spectroscopic data analysis and by comparison of their spectral data reported. Results: Twelve compounds were identified as resveratrol (1), trans-ε-viniferin (2), (7R, 8R)-threo-4, 7, 9, 9'-tetrahydroxy-3, 3'-dimethoxy-8-O-4'-neolignan 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), (7S, 8R)-urolignoside (4), schizandriside (5), vitisin A (6), vitisin B (7), davidiol A (8), 3, 5, 4'-trihydroxystilbene 4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (9), ampelopsin C (10), (7R, 8S)-dihydrodehydrodiconiferyl alcohol 9-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (11), and epicatechin (12). Conclusion: Compounds 3-5 are separated from the plants of Vitis L. for the first time, and compounds 8, 9, 11, and 12 are separated from V. thunbergii var. taiwaniana for the first time.

Chinese Circulation Journal 2015;30(5):442-445
Objective: To investigate the relationship between blood level of Galectin-3 and the severity of coronary lesions in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: A total of 158 consecutive subjects received coronary artery angiography (CAG) in Yantai Yu huangding hospital were studied and they were divided into 2 groups: Control group,n=38 individuals with normal coronary artery, CAD group,n=120 patients with at least 1 coronary branch stenosis ≥ 50%. CAD group was further divided into 2 sets of subgroups:①By the number of branches involved, as Single vessel disease, n=42, Double vessels disease including LM,n=40 and Triple vessel disease,n=38.②By the quartile of Gensini score as 1st quartile group, the patients with Gensini score ≤ 18.5, 2nd quartile group,18.5 < Gensini score ≤ 45.0, 3rd quartile group, 45.0 < Gensini score ≤ 71.5 and 4th quartile group, Gensini score>71.5,n=30 in each subgroup. Blood levels of Galectin-3 were examined, and the severity of coronary lesions was evaluated by both branch numbers and Gensini score analysis. Results: Compared with Control group, the blood level of Galectin-3 was higher in CAD group,10.66 (5.81, 16.17) ng/ml vs 18.3(1.14, 2.52) ng/mlP<0.01; with the more branches of coronary lesions involved, the blood levels of Galectin-3 increased accordingly, all P <0.01. With the elevation of Gensini score, the levels of Galectin-3increased accordingly, except for the difference between the 3rd quartile group and 4th quartile group, all P <0.01.With adjusted other factors, blood levels of Galectin-3 were positively related to the number of coronary branchlesions (r =0.52, P <0.01) and Gensini score levels (r =0.17, P =0.04).Conclusion: Blood level of Galectin-3 is positively related to the severity of coronary lesions whichimplies that Galectin-3 may have potential detrimental effect on the occurrence and development of coronaryatherosclerosis.

Objective To evaluate clinical application of arterial embolotherapy on hyperthyroidism. Methods 11 patients with hyperthyroidism were performed with thyroid superior and inferior arterial super selective arteriography and interventional embolization by polyvinyl alcohol(PVA),gelfoam particles and wool gianturco coil. Results The procedures were succeeded in 11 patients. After the embolotherapy , the thyroid function gradually returned to normal level in 10 patients. The symptom was not controlled satisfactorily in 1 patient, who underwent the right thyroid inferior arteries superselective arteriography and interventional embolization, and then the thyroid function gradually returned to normal level. No serious complications occurred in all patients. Conclusions Arterial embolotherapy is a safe, simple, symptomless, reliable and very effective for treatment of hyperthroidism.
