Generally speaking, yin de ciency will cause hyperactivity of yang, this is the basic character of yin-yang disharmony, but in clinic, the patients with yang depression caused by yin de ciency are common. This article discusses on the concept, theoretical foundation and practice of yang depressed due to yin de ciency in detail, which aims to clarify that problems of yin de ciency can cause not only hyperactivity of re but also yang depression.
2.Advances in the stem cell-like side population cells
Tianjin Medical Journal 2016;44(4):505-508
Recently, stem cell like side population (SP) cells have been found in many normal organizations and malig?nant tumors, which have the proficiency of differentiation and self-renewal. These cells play an important role in cancer stem cell research, though they occupy a low proportion in total cells. Here, we reviewed the foundation of SP cells, and their rela?tionship with stem cells, and the clinical application in the future.
3.MicroRNA-related pathways and tumorigenesis and tumor development
Journal of International Oncology 2012;39(8):566-569
Aberrant microRNA(miRNA) expression has been found in most of human cancers.miRNA-related regulation pathways, including the interaction between miRNA and protein-coding gene and the interaction between miRNA and IncRNA,have been shown correlated with the initiation and progression of human cancers.miRNA might be a therapeutic target in the treatment of malignancies.
4.Isolation of CD44~+/CD24~(-/low) and side population cells from MDA-MB-453 cells and the analysis of their activation of Wnt and Notch pathway
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(05):-
Objective:To explore stem cells phenotype of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-overexpressing breast cancer cells,MDA-MB-453 by isolation of CD44+CD24-/low and side population(SP).Analyze the relationship between SP cells and the gene amplification levels of the key proteins,?-catenin and Notch-1 in Wnt and Notch signal pathways. And study the correlation of SP cells and the gene amplification of HER2 and human epidermal growth factor receptor 3(HER3).Methods:CD44+CD24-/low and SP phenotype were studied in MDA-MB-453(HER2-overexpressing cell line)and MCF7(HER2 negative cell line)respectively by flow cytometry. The gene amplification of ?-catenin and Notch-1 in Wnt and Notch pathways were also studied by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).The gene amplification levels of the proteins mentioned,HER2 and HER3 were roughly compared in MDA-MB-453 cells and their SP by RT-PCR.Results:There was no CD44+CD24-/low subpopulation in MDA-MB-453 cells,However,SP could be observed in MDA-MB-453.The gene amplification levels of ?-catenin and Notch-1 in Wnt and Notch pathways were both observed in MDA-MB-453 and MCF7.Their gene amplification levels were more evident in SP of MDA-MB-453 than in MDA-MB-453 cells. However, the similar gene amplification levels of HER2 and HER3 were observed. Conclusion:SP can be enriched in breast cancer stem cells of MDA-MB-453.Wnt and Notch pathways are activated in MDA-MB-453,which may be related to maintenance and activity of breast cancer stem cells of MDA-MB-453.
6.Self-assembly performance of triterpene natural small molecules and their application in synergistic antitumor chemotherapy
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2021;56(8):2102-2111
Natural biocompatible nanomaterials such as self-assembled triterpene natural small molecule products with favorable anticancer activity show great potential for biomedical application. However, the mechanisms of their molecular self-assembled structures have not been investigated systematically, while there are still few reports of the natural active carrier for drug delivery. Herein, in this work, we further explored the molecular assembly mechanism and common regularity of tetracyclic triterpenes ergosterol, stigmasterol as well as pentacyclic triterpenes glycyrrhetinic acid and ursolic acid, which suggested that the coplanarity and orderliness of molecular arrangements which are speculated to be responsible for their self-assembly into the spherical, rod-like or lamellar nanostructure. Besides, ergosterol (ET) with better anticancer activity was chosen as a representative substance for construction of the synergistic antitumor nanodrug. By intermolecular hydrogen bonding and
7.Advance in Investigation of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(10):879-882
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive technique that can activate cortical motor areas and the corticospinal tract without causing the subject discomfort. Since TMS was introduced, numerous applications of this technique have been developed for the evaluation of neurologic diseases. They allow the evaluation of cortex excitability and motor conduction in the central nervous system and have been proved useful in monitoring motor abnormalities and the recovery of motor function. TMS also gives informations on the pathophysiology of the processes underlying the various clinical conditions and contribute to investigate the mechanisms of diseases. In addition, therapeutic use in depression, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, spinal cord injury and stroke has raised great interest over the past decade. Theapplication of TMS has great potential both as an investigational and as a therapeutical tool in neurology and psychiatry. However, as an infant techniology, there should be further investigation and large randomized trials to be conducted.
9.Retrospective analysis on 1 124 case-times of renal transplantation
Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 1996;0(02):-
Objective To sum up the experience of renal transplantation in order to improve transplant effect and enhance the long-term survival and recovery rate. Methods The data of renal transplantation of 1 124 cases who received renal transplantation from Jul. 1978 to Oct. 2001 were summarized. All the possible factors that could influence the transplant effect such as pre-operative preparation, HLA match, donors' quality, surgical procedure, immunosuppressive therapy and so on were analyzed. Results The 1-, 3-, 5-year survival rate (%) of patient/kidney was 83.1/ 70.3, 74.6/ 68.6 and 62.6/ 56.1 respectively. The rate of AR was decreased significantly from 3.09?% only with LXM to 0.89?% with LXM test in combination with HLA serological test. The rate of HAR and AR in 130 cases with additional PRA test were lower than those only with LXM test. Conclusions The well pre-operative preparation, the ideal HLA match, the high quality of donor's kidney and transplant operation were keys for successful renal transplantation. Reduction of the complications, individual and combined medication in reason and long-term follow-up were very important in the long-term survival time.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 1996;0(09):-
Objective Cervical instability was mostly caused by trauma. However, degenerative cervical instability was diagnosed rarely according to the present criteria although cervical degeneration was common in aged people. The study was aimed at investigating the results of surgical treatment for degenerative cervical instability and to define the indications for surgical intervention. Methods From April 1998 to April 2001, anterior cervical fusion and plate fixation were applied in fifteen patients, there were 6 males and 9 females aged from 44 to 65 years with an average of 55.2 years. The patients showed roentgenographic instability of the cervical spine associating with cervical postural symptoms. Spondylotic cervical myelopathy were excluded from the group. The cervical postural symptoms were those presented or aggravated with flexion-extension or rotational movements of the cervical spine, such as neck-shoulder pain, cervical spondylotic radiculopathy symptoms, sympathetic or vertebral artery symptoms. The symptoms lasted from 18 months to 4 years before the index surgery, all patients had received more than one year conservative treatments, but no any improvement. Seven cases were fused with iliac autograft, in which three cases were on single intervertebral spaces, four cases on double spaces, and grooved bone graft was used in the patient of double space fusion. Intervertebral fusion cage (Titanium mesh) was used in 8 cases; allograft was used in 2 single space cases; grooved autograft was used in 6 double space cases. Excised vertebral body was used as autograft material. Results The patients were followed up from 8 months to 4 years with an average of 25 months. All patients were satisfactory for the surgical results in follow-up period. All symptoms were released in 12 cases, occasional neck pain was found in 3 cases, and there was no abnormality presented in clinical examination. Solid fusion was achieved in all of cases at follow-up, the fused segment was stable judging by dynamic roentgenogram. Conclusion Fusion of the unstable segments is an alternative procedure for degenerative cervical instability in case the cervical postural symptoms are consistent with the radiographic features. Since some degenerative instability of cervical spine may spontaneously achieve re-stabilization, the indication of surgical fusion must be strictly limited to avoid over-treatment.
