3.Research on Prevention and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease by Translational Medicine Based Chinese Medicine.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(5):623-626
Translational medicine is inevitable in the development of modern medicine, and the uprising concept of translational medicine provides an opportunity for the development of Chinese medicine (CM). Their ideas are well communicated. There are two patterns of researching on CM based on translational medicine: 'literature to bench to bedside' and 'bench to bedside to bench'. CM has her advantages in preventing and treating cardiovascular disease. Effective methods for preventing and treating cardiovascular disease by CM should be further studied based on translational medicine concepts.

Objective:To explore the effect of bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets combined with low-dose erythromycin on the efficacy and motilin (MTL) levels in the treatment of children with functional dyspepsia (FD).Methods:One hundred and fifty children with FD admitted to Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center from January 2019 to June 2020 were selected and were divided into two groups by random number table, with 75 cases in each group. The control group was treated with bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets, and the observation group was treated with low-dose erythromycin on the basis of control group. The clinical efficacy and the disappearance time of the clinical symptoms of the two groups were compared. The changes in the frequency of gastric antrum contraction (ACF), the amplitude of gastric antrum contraction (ACA), the gastric antral movement index (MI) were detected by ultrasonic developing-out unit before and after treatment. The levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), nitric oxide (NO), gastrin (GAS) and MTL were detected before and after the treatment using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. The incidence of adverse reactions was counted. The recurrence rate was recorded after 6 months of the treatment. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group:93.33% (70/75) vs. 78.67% (59/75), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 = 6.700, P<0.05). The disappearance time of symptoms of nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, and abdominal pain in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group: (2.58 ± 0.45) d vs. (3.22 ± 0.68) d, (3.56 ± 0.62) d vs. (4.10 ± 0.70) d, (2.54 ± 0.46) d vs. (3.24 ± 0.69) d, (2.66 ± 0.56) d vs. (3.40 ± 0.67) d, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The levels of ACF, ACA and MI in the observation group after the treatment were higher than those in the control group: (4.32 ± 0.90) times/min vs. (3.58 ± 0.83) times/min, (0.34 ± 0.12) vs. (0.30 ± 0.10) mm, (1.33 ± 0.42) vs. (1.14 ± 0.30), and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The levels of 5-HT and NO in the observation group after the treatment were lower than those in the control group: (164.77 ± 30.34) mg/L vs. (184.45 ± 28.90) mg/L, (38.27 ± 10.20) mmol/L vs. (46.54 ± 9.48) mmol/L; and the levels of GAS and MTL were higher than those in the control group: (115.23 ± 15.70) ng/L vs. (98.50 ± 14.29) ng/L, (266.67 ± 32.76) ng/L vs. (238.40 ± 28.97) ng/L, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:The treatment of pediatric FD with bifidobacterium tetravaccine tablets combined with low-dose erythromycin can significantly improve the efficacy, quickly improve the clinical symptoms of children, promote physical recovery, and regulate MTL levels to improve gastric motility. The recurrence rate is low.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2022;57(3):638-643
A large number of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) in tumor tissues create a favorable environment for the development of tumor. CAFs inhibit immune cells activation and viability by cytokine secretion, and CAFs prohibit drugs and immune cells infiltration by producing extracellular matrix to weaken cancer treatment efficacy. Regulating CAFs or overcoming CAFs barriers are new strategies for cancer therapy. Hence, designing nano-carriers for regulating CAFs to suppress tumor progression or promoting drug delivery to tumor site by overcoming CAFs barriers has attracted much attention. Therefore, this manuscript reviewed the recent progresses of nano-carriers for CAFs-targeting cancer therapies, in order to provide a reference for clinical cancer treatment.

Objective To investigate whether velocity vector imaging (VVI) combined with stress echocardiography could detect potential myocardial impairment of the left ventricle(LV) in diabetic rats. Methods DM rats ( n = 18,administered by STZ at 65 mg/kg) and control rats( n = 12) were performed with VVI and M-mode echocardiography both at rest and after dipyridamole stress 12 weeks later. Twodimensional echocardiographic cine loops and M-mode images of three consecutive beats were obtained from the short-axis views at the mid-LV level. The means of segmental peak systolic velocity(Vs), circumferential strain(εc) ,radial strain(εr), systolic circumferential and radial strain rate (SRc, SRr) and the percent wall thickening (WT% ,derived from M-mode) were obtained. After echocardiograms were performed, the hearts were excised and prepared for HE staining and ultrastructural observations under electron microscopy. Results At rest, only SRc in the DM group was significantly lower than that in the control group( P <0.05), the other parameters were statistically comparable between the two groups. After dipyridamole stress, all VVI values in the DM group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P <0.05).However,there was no significant difference in WT% between the two groups either at rest or after dipyridamole stress ( P >0.05). Conclusions The VVI parameters combined with dipyridamole stress are more effective in evaluating potential myocardial impairment of the LV walls in diabetic rats. SRc might be more sensitive indices that can be used to detect myocardial impairment at rest.

Journal of Practical Radiology 1991;0(03):-
Objective To study the CT features of pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma(PSH),so that to improve the imaging diagnostic abilities. Methods 21 cases pathologically proven PSH were included in this retrospective article. Imaging features were compared with pathological results. Results (1)The disease mainly occurred in female patients between 30~50 years old; (2)On CT, the lesion presented as well-defined, round and oval shaped mass or nodule;(3) A homogeneous soft-tissue mass on unenhanced CT; calcification was found in some lesions; in 2 cases, cystic-like area was found within large tumors(≥5cm); (4)Homogeneous or heterogeneous enhancement after contrast administration; on delayed phase scans, some of them demonstrated late enhancement;(5)The seemingly characteristic air-trapping zone, vessels at its periphery and a tail sign were found in 4, 5, 7 cases respectively. Conclusion PSH should be considered in young and middle-aged female patients, with the characteristic presence of air-trapping zone, vessels at its periphery and a tail sign within images (especially on CT). And the disease can be preoperatively diagnosed combined with the clinical features with above the aforementioned features.
