0.05).Conclusion Epidural anesthesia with 0.75% ropivacaine and 0.5% levobupivacaine for cesarean section may produce equivalent clinical effects.Pharmacokinetic parameters of them are similar, with a good prospect for clinical application.
2.Analysis of an Outbreak of TB in an University in Hangzhou
Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(06):-
Objective To analyze the reasons of the TB outbreak in that school and to explore strategy of warning and preventing TB in schools. Methods epidemical investigation, screening close-contactors,analyzing and dealing with epidemic situation. Results 51 TB cases were detected from Oct 2003 to Mar 2005,among them, there were 42 acquired TB cases (6 sputum smear positive cases),9 tuberculosis pleurisy cases.30 of them didn't experience any health education about TB control and prevention, and know nothing about TB.Rest of them is not much better.Only tow of them is resisted by school infirmary,7 of 16 students who were diagnosed with TB before screening and took treatment were reported to local CDC.Conclusions Students lack of self-protective ability; administration of school infirmary was not well-organized,so that so many TB cases in a short period couldn't be noticed and the weakness of the report system is the major reason causing the outbreak to be long term and involving so many victims.it is emergency to enforce TB control in schools, and it is crucial to establish TB warning system in schools.
3.A preliminary study of validity of the Stroke Impairment Assessment Set
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(03):-
Objective To test the validity of the Stroke Impairment Assessment Set (SIAS) among the subjects with acute stroke. Methods Forty two patients with acute stroke were assessed by use of SIAS, Brunnstrom movement assessment, Fugl Meyer movement assessment and Functional Independence Measure (FIM). The correlations among SIAS motor function item scores, Brunnstrom grades and Fugl Meyer scores and the correlation between SIAS total scores and FIM scores were studied. Results There were significantly positive correlations among SIAS motor function item scores, Brunnstrom grades and Fugl Meyer scores ( r =0.7440-0.9426). A significantly positive correlation also existed between the SIAS total score and FIM score( r =0.9231). The intra class correlation within SIAS was significant( r =0.8892-0.9787). The regression equations could be made between SIAS motor function scores and Fugl Meyer scores, SIAS total scores and FIM scores. Conclusion SIAS is a valid instrument when it is used to assess the subjects with acute stroke.

0.05), but the patients in the rehabilitation group demonstrated much higher scores in Fugl Meyer and Barthel index than those in the control group at the end of 4 and 12 weeks after rehabilitation therapy( P 0.05) 12 weeks after the therapy. Conclusion Early intensive rehabilitation therapy can effectively improve the motor function and ADL of stroke patients; the continuing home rehabilitation program for at least 8 weeks is helpful for improving the patient's functional independence, increasing the cost effectiveness, and shortening the length of stay of stroke patients.

In the research field of quality control in Chinese medicinal materials, variation in active ingredients of medicinal plant is always the key and hot issues. With the development of high-throughput sequencing technologies and reducing cost, a large numbers of genes from medicinal plant were cloning and provide a solid foundation for further research of gene structure and its biological function, and also provides conditions for explore active ingredient variation and its quality control from the perspective of molecular pharmacognosy. This paper introduces the concept of homologous gene, gene duplication and classification. We prospect the function of duplicated genes in the role of molecular mechanism research about variation in active ingredients, aiming at providing a new way for medicinal materials quality control.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(09):-
Aim To investigate the protective effects of polysaccharides from the rhizomorph of Armillaria mella(AMP-1) on alloxan injured INS-1 cells. Methods Graded concentrations of AMP-1(2,10,50,100,500,1 000 mg?L-1) were added into the culture medium of alloxan injured INS-1 cells. The survival rate was measured by MTT assay. The amount of glucose-stimulated insulin secretion in different concentrations of AMP-1 was determined by radioimmunoassay(RIA).SOD and NOS activity,NO,MDA and GSH production were assayed colorimetrically. Results AMP-1 could reduce oxidative injuries induced by alloxan in INS-1 cells. The survival rate of cells treated with AMP-1 increased significantly. In the presence of 5.6 mmol?L-1 or 16.7 mmol?L-1 glucose,AMP-1(50,100,500,1 000 mg?L-1)increased glucose-induced insulin secretion in INS-1 cells in a dose-dependent manner.NOS levels and the production of NO and MDA decreased significantly by AMP-1,while SOD levels and the production of GSH increased. Conclusions AMP-1 promoted glucose-induced insulin secretion in INS-1 cells by increasing the abilities of scavenging the free radicals induced by alloxan.

Corneal endothelial cell(CEC)is the most critical part for the cornea, of which activity can influence the postoperative vision. It is very important for the clinical cornea preservation considering the function and its self-purification of donor cornea. There are a variety of classical methods, which can significantly prolong the saving time of donor cornea with its good quality of CEC.We reviewed the published papers about present preservation methods of cornea, which can give us many suggestions for the clinical cornea preservation.

Objective To explore the medication rules of Professor WEI Pin-kang in treating gastric cancer; To provide references for clinical medication. Methods Gastric cancer cases treated by Professor WEI Pin-kang in TCM outpatient department of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital from January 2008 to December 2015 in WEI Pin-kang TCM Studio Outpatient Medical Cases (including electronic database and paper medical cases database). TCM Inheritance Support System V2.5 was used to build database. Frequency analysis, association rule analysis, complex system entropy clustering and other data mining methods were used to analyze frequency, medicine association rules and core medicine combination. Results Totally 305 clinical prescriptions including 185 kinds of Chinese materia medica were collected. The Chinese meteria medica with the high frequency were Pinellinae Rhizoma Praeparatum, Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum and Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum, etc. High frequency Chinese materia medica were with the properties of warm and cold, and with the flavors of bitter, spicy and sweet, to Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming, Spleen Meridian of Foot-Taiyin, and Liver Meridian of Foot-Jueyin. The medicine combinations with high frequency were Pinellinae Rhizoma Praeparatum and Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum,Pinellinae Rhizoma Praeparatum and Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum, and Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum and Arisaematis Rhizoma Preparatum. The common medicine pairs were Aurantii Fructus and Aurantii Fructus Immaturum and Scorpio and Scolopendra. Analysis showed 36 association rules of the confidence > 0.99. 70 core medicine combinations and 11 new prescription were obtained. Conclusion Professor WEI Pin-kang treats gastric cancer based on phlegm theory. The dissolving phlegm and eliminating stagnation medicine, regulating qi-folwing for harmonizing stomach medicine and heat-clearing and detoxifying medicine are commonly used.
