Objective To explore the histocompatibility and plasticitity of hydroxyapatite/high-density polyethylene composite (HMPE). Design Experimental study. Participants Forty-five rabbits. Methods Rabbits were randomly devided into HA/PE, HA and PE surgical groups, every group included 15 rabbits. Osteoeetomy of orbital rim and implantation (HA/PE, HA and PE materials were used) were performed on 3 groups of the rabbits. At 1st week, 4th week, 8th week, 12th week and 24th week of postoperation, we took out the samples from the rabbits separately in each group and did histopathologic and electron microscope examinations. Main Outcome Measures Physical signs of the implant combination with the bone. The bone cell appeared in the implants. Results After 12 weeks, the calcium salts deposit like bone plate with some osteoblast inside the HA/PE implants was observed. After 8 weeks, the calci- um salts deposit inside the HA plants was observed. In the PE implants, nothing could be seen but some fibrous connective tissue. Conclusion HMPE is an ideal repair material especially for orbital bone.

Objective To analyze and compare the imaging features of chromophobe cell renal carcinoma(CCRC)with pathologic findings in order to improve the diagnostic accuracy. Methods The data of CT and MRI of 12 patients with CCRC were reviewed retrospectively.Ten patients underwent CT examination, including precontrast scan, the contrast eortieomedullary phase scan and the parenchymal phase scan(one patient without corticomedullary phase scan). Two patients underwent MR examination including precontrast T_1WI,T_2WI and enhanced T_1WI of the corticomedullary phase and the parenchymal phase. Results Four lesions located in left kidney and eight in right kidney.Maximum diameter of lesions ranged from 24 mm to 125 mm,average 56.7 ram.Homogenous density was observed in six lesions of ten on unenhanced CT scan and five lesions had homogenous enhancement on enhanced CT scan, which was due to the less incidence of necrosis, liquefaction and hemorrhage on pathologic findings.Nine Lesions showed hyperdense compared with renal medulla but the density was lower than renal cortex on the corticomedullary phase. The enhanced degree was positively correlated with microvessel density(MVD).All ten lesions became hypodense compared with renal medulla on the parenchymal phase scan.Central stellate scar was found in two big lesions and psudocapsula were observed in four lesions confirmed by pathology. Two patients underwent MRI examination.Compared with medulla, the two lesions showed hyperintense on unenhanced T_1WI and obviously hypointense on unenhaneed T_2WI.The enhancement pattern of them was similar to CT. Conclusion The imaging features of CCRC,such as homogeneity, special enhancement pattern and distinct hypointensity on T_2WI,help to differentiate CCRC from other renal tumors.

To determine the optimum conditions of supercritical CO2 extraction of Xiaoyaosan, and establish its fingerprint by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), the yield of extract were investigated, an orthogonal test was used to quantify the effects of extraction temperature, pressure, CO2 flow rate and time, and fingerprint analysis of different batches of extracts were by GC-MS. The optimal extraction conditions were determined as follows: extraction pressure 20 MPa, extraction temperature 50 degrees C, CO2 flow rate 25 kg x h(-1), extraction time 3 h, and average yield 2.2%. The GC-MS fingerprint was established and 27 common peaks were found, whose contents add up to 81.89% of the total peak area. Among them, 21 compounds were identified, accounting for 53.20% of the total extract. The extraction process is reasonable and favorable for industrial production. The GC-MS method is accurate, reliable, reproducible, and can be used for quality control of supercritical CO2 extract from Xiaoyaosan.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(5):559-562
Objective To analyze the clinical risk factors of hemorrhagic transformation (HT) of cardiogenic cerebral embolism and the influence of HT on outcome. Methods The clinical data of 115 inpatients were reviewed from May, 2012 to December, 2015. They were di-vided into HT group (n=58) and non-HT group (n=57). The age, anticoagulant therapy, thrombolytic therapy, infarction diameter, diabetes, coronary heart disease, hyperlipidemia, the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score and HAS-BLED score were compared. The risk factors for HT was screened with the multivariate Logistic regression. NIHSS score and Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score as hos-pitalization, and one month and three months after stroke were compared. Results There were significant difference in NIHSS score (t=-2.991, P=0.003) and HAS-BLED score (t=-2.499, P=0.014), as well as infarction diameter (χ2=8.355, P=0.004) between HT group and non-HT group. NIHSS score (OR=1.127, P=0.027), HAS-BLED score (OR=1.783, P=0.03) and infarction diameter (OR=4.390, P=0.035) were the risk factors for HT. The incidence of HT was less in low-risk group (HAS-BLED score=0-2) than in high-risk group (HAS-BLED score≥3) (χ2=4.643, P=0.031). The NIHSS score as hospitalization, and one month and three months after stroke were all more in HT group than in non-HT group (t>2.387, P<0.05). The mRS score was more in HT group as hospitalization (t=-2.262, P=0.026), but not significant one and three months later (t<1.468, P>0.05). Conclusion HT tends to happen in the patients of cerebral embolism patients after atrial fibril-lation with severe neural function defect, large infarction diameter and high HAS-BLED score. The neural function is poor in those with HT.
