International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(7):454-457
Objective To compare the efficacy of liver preservation in SX-1 solution,HC-A solution and UW solution in the two-cuff technique orthotopic liver transplantation model in rats. Methods We confected SX-1 solution using of aseptic technique and built up two-cuff technique orthotopie liver transplantation model in rats. The SX-1 solution,UW solution and HC-A solution preserved rats livers in 2 h,8 h and 24 h,then went orthotopic liver transplantation. The various hepatic indices were determined when the rats survived for 6 hours after the operation. Results For the ALT,AST,the SX-1 solution group(2 h,8 h,24 h)and UW solution group went up synchronously, there was no statistical significance,(P>0.05).Compared with HC-A solution group the SX-1 solution group (2 h,8 h,24 h)has already shown the statistical signifcance(P<0.05).For the LDH,the SX-1 solution group (2 h,8 h,24 h)and HC-A solution group went up synchronously, there was no statistical significance(P>0.05).Compared with UW solution group the SX-1 solution group(2 h,8 h,24 h)has already shown the statistical significance(P<0.05).For the number of liver with bile production, each group didn1 show the statistical significance (P<0.05).The time of preserving liver increased with the number of liver with bile production reducing. Conclusions Confirmed by the orthotopie liver transplantation model in rat,the SX-1 solution is the same as the UW solution in the indices of hepatic enzymologists.exceeding the HC-A solution. The SX-1 solution is the same as HC-A solution and UW solution in the number of liver with bile production.
3.Effect of Recombination Human Erythropoietin on the Apoptosis of Glutamate-induced Retinal Cells
Acta Medicinae Universitatis Scientiae et Technologiae Huazhong 2014;(2):227-230
Objective To study the protective effect of recombination human erythropoietin (rhEPO) on the apoptosis of retinal neurons induced by glutamate. Methods The primary retinal neurons of postnatal SD rats were cultured in vitro for 7 days and divided into 3 groups :control group ,glutamate group and rhEPO pretreatment group. The neurons in the rhEPO pre-treatment group were afterwards allocated to three subgroups in terms of different rhEPO treatments (0.15 ,0.30 or 0.50 U/mL rhEPO for 12 h).Those in glutamate group and rhEPO pretreatment group were treated with glutamate at the concentration of 20μmol/L for 30 min for establishment of the apoptosis model.Twenty-four h later ,the apoptosis index (AI) was assayed by TUNEL and the expressions of BCL-xL mRNA and protein was detected by RT-PCR and immunocytochemistry respective-ly.Results The AI was significantly higher in the glutamate group than in the control group (P<0.01).The AI was signifi-cantly reduced ,and the expression level of BCL-xL mRNA and protein was markedly dose-dependently increased in the rhEPO pretreatment groups compared with the glutamate group (P<0.01).Conclusion The rhEPO pretreatment can inhibit the glu-tamate-induced apoptosis of retinal neurons by up-regulating the expression of BCL-xL .
4.Protective Effects of Ginkgolides on Cerebral Ischemia in Experimental Rodents
China Pharmacy 1991;0(03):-
OBJECTIVE:To study the protective effects of Ginkgolides(GL)on cerebral ischemia in experimental rodents. METHODS:The models of decapitative mice and acute incomplete cerebral ischemic(AICI)rats were used. The gasp duration of decapitative mice and cerebral index, water content of brain, cerebral capillary permeability and hemorrheological parameters in rats were determined.RESULTS:Ginkgolides could prolong gasp duration of decapitative mice, increase the cerebral index and the water content of brain, inhibit capillary permeability, improve hemorrheological parameters and decrease blood viscosi?ty.CONCLUSION:Ginkgolides may antagonize the damage of cerebral ischemia.
5.On the Medical Ethical Significance of Charity Philosophy
Chinese Medical Ethics 1994;0(05):-
The construction of charity culture has always been a weak element in medical institutions, thus it is in great need to promote the construction of ideological and charity culture.Medical staff should cultivate themselves with charity philosophy to promote their sincerity, comfort, and self-cultivation for medical career, and combine charity philosophy and medical ethics so as to add charity to their clinical thinking, ideology and behaviors. Therefore, medical staff's morality of medical service can be enhanced gradually.
6.Case-based learning assisted by internet platforms in interactive teaching for undergraduate students in the clerkship of cardiovascular surgery
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2021;20(1):50-53
Objective:To investigate the value and effectiveness of the case-based learning assisted by several internet platforms for medical interns in interactive teaching for undergraduate students in the clerkship of cardiovascular surgery.Methods:Ninety-six undergraduates were randomly divided into control group ( n = 48) and experiment group ( n = 48). The control group received traditional teaching, and the experiment group received case-based learning with the aid of WeChat and Sojump questionnaires. The theoretical and clinic operating scores, classroom atmosphere, learning interest, learning efficiency, learning ability improvement, theoretical knowledge mastery and clinical skills improvement were were compared between the two groups. SPSS 19.0 was used for t test and chi-square test. Results:The clinic operating scores, classroom atmosphere, learning interest, learning efficiency, learning ability improvement, theoretical knowledge mastery and clinical skills improvement were statistically higher in experiment group than in control group ( P < 0.05). Conclusion:The application of case-based learning combined with internet platforms has achieved a good teaching effect in interactive teaching for undergraduate students in the clerkship of cardiovascular surgery and is worthy of popularizing.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2012;32(5):760-6
Pingyangmycin (bleomycin A5 hydrochloride, PYM) is one of the anti-neoplastic agents which have been commonly used to treat venous malformations. However, the underlying mechanism by which PYM treats venous malformations remains poorly understood. It was reported that venous endothelial cells could recruit neutrophils via adhesion molecules (E-selectin, ICAM-1, ICAM-3, VCAM-1) during the acute/chronic inflammation and subsequent histological fibrosis after sclerotherapy with PYM. This study explored if the expression of E-selectin, ICAM-1, ICAM-3 and VCAM-1 in human venous malformation endothelial cells could be affected by PYM. HVMECs were cultured from human venous malformation tissue. Expressions of E-selectin, ICAM-1, ICAM-3 and VCAM-1 on HVMECs in response to PYM were analyzed by cell ELISA. The relative levels of mRNA expression in the cells were semi-quantified. The results showed that PYM up-regulated the expressions of E-selectin, ICAM-3, VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 in both time- and concentration-dependent manner. Our findings suggested that PYM could induce the expression of adhesion molecules in HVMECs, which might be a possible mechanism by which sclerotherapy by intralesional injection of PYM treats venous malformations.
9.Modified circumcision with a disposable suture device.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(6):541-544
OBJECTIVETo improve the methods and reduce the complications of circumcision with a disposable suture device.
METHODSThis study included 325 male patients aged 14-65 (mean 28.9) years, treated for redundant prepuce or phimosis by modified (n = 201) or conventional circumcision with a disposable suture device (n = 124). We compared the incidence of complications and the patients' satisfaction between the two surgical methods.
RESULTSCompared with conventional circumcision, the modified method showed a significantly lower incidence of postoperative bleeding (14.52% vs 2.49% , P < 0.05) and a lower rate of second surgery for penile hematoma (4.03% vs 0.50%, P < 0.05). The patients' satisfaction was markedly higher with the modified method (91.94%) than with conventional circumcision (97.51%) (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONModified circumcision with the disposable suture device can significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative bleeding and penile hematoma and therefore deserves wide clinical application.
