International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(2):134-135
Objectives To study the clinical results of Liuwei Dihuang Wan plus jinkui Shenqi Wan treating small renal calculus (diameter< 1.0cm) which are not suitable for surgical operation. Methods 200 eases were randomly recruited into a control group and a treatrnent group, with 100 cases in each group. 100 cases in the treatment group was further enrolled into team A (having the syndrome of kidney Yin deficiency) and team B (having the syndrome of kidney yang deficiency), with 50 eases in each team. Team A and team B was treated with Liuwei Dihuang Wan and Jinkui Shenqi Wan respectively. The control group was treated with drugs that removing urinary calculus. Results The cure rate and the effective rate in team A was 60% and 86% respectively; and 62% and 88% respectively in team B. The total cure rate and effective rate of the treatment was 61% and 87% respectively. On the other hand, the cure and effectively rate of the control group was 7% and 35% respectively. The difference between the two groups were significant (P<0.01). Conclusion Liuwei Dihuang Wan plus jinkui Shenqi Wan has good effect in treating small renal calculus.

AIM: To study the visual quality, dry eye and biomechanical stability of patients with myopia and astigmatism after different corneal refractive surgeries. ·METHODS: A total of 986 patients with myopia and astigmatism were selected as the research object in our hospital from July 2015 to July 2016, according to the operation mode of the selection of the research object, the 986 patients were randomly divided into small incision lenticule extraction ( SMILE) group, femtosecond laser in situ keratomileusis ( FS-LASIK ) group, sub-bowman-keratomileusis ( SBK ) group and laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis ( LASIK ) group. The postoperative visual quality was determined by comparing the diopter, uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ) , best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA) and high-order image difference of 25d, 90d. The postoperative dry eye condition was determined by comparing the postoperative tear secretion test ( Schirmer Ⅰ test ) , tear film rupture time ( BUT ) and fluorescence staining ( FS) . The biomechanical stability of the patients was determined by comparing the corneal hysteresis ( CH ) and corneal resistance factor ( CRF ) values of the four groups. ·RESULTS: The diopter, UCVA, BCVA and high-order aberration comparison of FS-LASIK group, SBK group and LASIK group between before and after surgery, showed no significant difference ( P>0. 05 ); on diopter, BCVA, UCVA, there was no significant difference between before and after surgery in SMILE group (P>0. 05), but statistical significance difference on high order aberration (P<0. 05). The BUT and FS value of the four groups decreased obviously after operation, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). In LASIK group SIt after operation significantly decreased, with statistically significant compared with that before operation ( P <0. 05). After operation, CH and CRF of the four groups decreased with significant differences (P<0. 05). ·CONCLUSION: SMILE, FS-LASIK, SBK and LASIK are equally safe, effective and stable in the treatment of myopia and astigmatism.

Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) has become one of the most important therapeutic methods for atherosclerotic heart disease(AHD),but the following complications such as stent thrombosis and restenosis af- fected its long-term efficacy.Platelet activation was a key component of thrombosis of during perioperative period PCI.As one of the most effective antiplatelet drugs,clo- pidogrel has been established its important role in preven- ting thrombosis during perioperative period of PCI.After several large-scale clinical trials in recent years.

The variation of the vibration characteristics of a Huanghua pear was investigated using finite element simulations. A new image processing technique was used to obtain the unsymmetrical and un-spherical geometrical model of a pear. The vibration characteristics of this type of pear with the correlation of its behavior with geometrical configurations and material characteristics were investigated using numerical modal analysis. The results showed that the eigenfrequency increased with the increasing pear Young's modulus, while decreased with increasing pear density, and decreased with increasing pear volume. The results of this study provided foundation for further investigations of the physical characteristics of fruits and vegetables by using finite element simulations.

In this study, the COI barcode was used to identify the Scolopendra medicinal materials and its adulterants in order to provide a new method for the identification of Scolopendra. Genomic DNA was extracted from the experimental samples. The COI sequences were amplified and sequenced bi-directionally. Sequence alignment and NJ tree construction was carried out by MEGA6.0 software. The results showed that the COI sequences can be obtained from all experimental samples. The average inter-specific K2P distance of Scolopendra was 0.222 and the minimum inter-specific distance was 0.190. All the Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans medicinal samples clustered into a clade in the NJ tree and can be distinguished from its adulterants. In a conclusion, COI can be used to correctly identify Scolopendra medicinal materials, and it will be a potential DNA barcode for identifying other animal medicinal materials.
