Korean Journal of Dermatology 1981;19(4):541-545
The idiopathic calcinosis of the scrotum (Shapiro, 1970) is usually multiple, asymtomatic nodules of the scrotal skin which begins m childhood or early adult life, increase in the size and numbers, and sometimes breakdown to discharge chalky contents. Clinically they are most often misdiagnosed as cysts. The forty eight years old male patient visited our hospital on Oct. 14, 1980, because of multiple asymtomatic scrotal masses which are pin head to walnut sized. There is no family history of calcification, scrotal or otherwise. Histology shows naked amorphous masses in the dermis without any evidence of residual cysts, and is acicular clefts in the masses. Most of the tumors were surgically removed in 5 sessions.

Journal of Korean Academy of Conservative Dentistry 2008;33(5):463-471
This study investigated the clinical effectiveness and safety of sealed bleaching compared to conventional in-office bleaching using a randomized clinical trial of split arch design. Ten participants received a chairside bleaching treatment on the upper anterior teeth, and each side was randomly designated as sealed or control side. A mixture of Brite powder (PacDent, Walnut, USA), 3% hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide (KoolWhite, PacDent, Walnut, USA) were used as bleaching agent. The control side was unwrapped and the experimental side was covered with a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) wrap for sealed bleaching. The bleaching gel was light activated for 1 hour. The tooth shades were evaluated before treatment, after treatment, and at one week check up by means of a visual shade (VS) assessment using a value oriented shade guide and a computer assisted shade assessment using a spectrophotometer (SP). The data were analyzed by paired t-test. In the control and sealed groups, the visual shade scores after bleaching treatment and at check up showed statistically significant difference from the preoperative shade scores (p < .05). The shade scores of the sealed group were significantly lighter than the control immediately after bleaching and at the check-up appointment (p < 0.05). Compared to prebleaching status, the DeltaE values at post-bleaching condition were 4.35 +/- 1.38 and 5.08 +/- 1.34 for the control and sealed groups, respectively. The DeltaE values at check up were 3.73 +/- 1.95 and 4.38 +/- 2.08 for the control and sealed groups. DeltaE values were greater for the sealed group both after bleaching (p < .05) and at check up (p < .05). In conclusion, both DeltaE and shade score changes were greater for the sealed bleaching group than the conventional bleaching group, effectively demonstrating the improvement of effectiveness through sealing.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1990;28(1):107-111
We report a case of papillary eccrine adenoma occurring in a 39-year-old male who had a walnut sized, firm nodule on the right knee without subjective symptoms. Histopathologic exammination revealed a well circumscribed, non-capsulated dermal nodule consisting of multiple ducts with various sizes. These ducts were composed of double layered epithelial cells in most areas, but in some areas severe intraluminal papillation snd pseudostratification into the lumen were seen and the lumina were filled with a homogenous eosinophilic substance and partially with calcium deposition. Immunohistochemical studies with S-100 antigen and csrcinoembryonic sntigen (CEA) were also performed. Positivity for these sntigens strongly supports the hypothesis that this unusual neoplasm differentiates toward the eccrine secretory coil.

6.A Case of Intraorbital Meningioma.
Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1980;21(3):293-297
A clinically rare case of recurrent meningioma of the orbit of 30 years old male is reported. The right eye invaded with fibroblastic meningioma was enucleated in association of resection of tumor mass ten years ago. The second surgery of socket reconstruction for the palpebral and conjunctival atrophy was performed eight years later. An experience of orbital exenteration to a complete removal of walnut sized firm and palpable mass recurred in the orbital socket with successful result after the histo-pathological examination was described.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 1974;12(4):241-244
Malignant melanoma is rare in Asian and one of the poorer prognostic disease. Approximately 25% of all patients with malignant melanoma has been occured at the site of pigmented leasion. Primary location of melanome on palm is known to be 1.3% which is rarer than that of the other site. This report is a case of 65 year old man who has a walnut sized bluish-black tumor(4*5*3cm) on left palm which developed from the brownish black spot. According to the patients statement the spot was started since childhood and gradually increase in size since last 5 years. The mass, however, was rapidly growing with superficial ulceration since 3 months previously. No metastatic skin leasion was found around the tumor mass and left upper extremity. There were no palpable tymphnodes in the left axillary and epitrochlear area. Skin biopsy specimen showed findings consistent with malignant melanoma and cell composition was predominant in the fusiform cell than the cuboidal cell, and exillary lymphnode showed only dermatopathic changes. Bone X-ray of left hand and chest X-ray showed no abnormal findings and metastatic sign. B-E(bellow elbow) smputations on left foream was performed. During postoperativ he has had general and no metastatic signs.

8.A comparative study on the correlation between Korean foods and the fractures of PFG and all ceramic crowns for posterior applications.
The Journal of Korean Academy of Prosthodontics 2009;47(2):156-163
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM: Recently, there have been increased esthetic needs for posterior dental restorations. The failure of posterior dental ceramic restoration are possible not only by the characters of the component materials but also by the type of food. PURPOSE: The research aim was to compare the in vitro fracture resistance of simulated first molar crowns fabricated using 4 dental ceramic systems, full-porcelain-occlusal-surfaced PFG, half-porcelain-occlusal-surfaced PFG, Empress 2, Ice Zirkon and selected Korean foods. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Eighty axisymmetric crowns of each system were fabricated to fit a preparation with 1.5- to 2.0-mm occlusal reduction. The center of the occlusal surface on each of 15 specimens per ceramic system was axially loaded to fracture in a Instron 4465, and the maximum load (N) was recorded. Afterwards, selected Korean foods specimens (boiled crab, boiled chicken with bone, boiled beef rib, dried squid, dried anchovy, round candy, walnut shell) were prepared. 15 specimens per each food were placed under the Instron and the maximum fracture loads for them were recorded. The 95% confidence intervals of the characteristic failure load were compared between dental eramic systems and Korean foods. Afterwards, on the basis of previous results, 14Hz cyclic load was applied on the 4 systems of dental ceramic restorations in MTS. The reults were analyzed by analysis of variance and Post Hoc tests. RESULTS: 95% confidence intervals for mean of fracture load 1. full porcelain occlusal surfaced PFG Crown: 2599.3 to 2809.1 N 2. half porcelain occlusal surfaced PFG Crown: 3689.4 to 3819.8 N 3. Ice Zirkon Crown: 1501.2 to 1867.9 N 4. Empress 2 Crown: 803.2 to 1188.5 N 5. boiled crab: 294.1 to 367.9 N 6. boiled chicken with bone: 357.1 to 408.6 N 7. boiled beef rib: 4077.7 to 4356.0 N 8. dried squid: 147.5 to 190.5 N 9. dried anchovy: 35.6 to 46.5 N 10. round candy: 1900.5 to 2615.8 N 11. walnut shell: 85.7 to 373.1 N under cyclic load (14Hz) in MTS, fracture load and masticatory cycles are: 1. full porcelain occlusal surfaced PFG Crown fractured at 95% confidence intervals of 4796.8 - 9321.2 cycles under 2224.8 N (round candy)load, no fracture under smaller loads. 2. half porcelain occlusal surfaced PFG Crown fractured at 95% confidence intervals of 881705.1 - 1143565.7 cycles under 2224.8 N (round candy). no fracture under smaller loads. 3. Ice Zirkon Crown fractured at 95% confidence intervlas of 979993.0 - 1145773.4 cycles under 382.9 N (boiled chicken with bone). no fracture under smaller loads. 4. Empress 2 Crown fractured at 95% confidence intervals of 564.1 - 954.7 cycles under 382.9 N (boiled chicken with bone). no fracture under smaller loads. CONCLUSION: There was a significant difference in fracture resistance between experimental groups. Under single load, Korean foods than can cause fracture to the dental ceramic restorations are boiled beef rib and round candy. Even if there is no fracture under single load, cyclic dynamic load can fracture dental posterior ceramic crowns. Experimental data with 14 Hz dynamic cyclic load are obtained as follows. 1. PFG crown (full porcelain occlusion) was failed after mean 0.03 years under fracture load for round candy (2224.8 N). 2. PFG crown(half porcelain occlusion) was failed after mean 4.1 years under fracture load for round candy (2224.8 N). 3. Ice Zirkon crown was failed after mean 4.3 years under fracture load for boiled chicken with bone (382.9 N). 4. Empress 2 crown was failed after mean 0.003 years under fracture load for boiled chicken with bone (382.9 N).

Korean Journal of Dermatology 2008;46(4):538-540
Tumid lupus erythematosus is a rare subtype of chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus. We report a case of tumid lupus erythematosus. A 51-year-old female patient, presented with a solitary walnut sized tender erythematous nodule on the left forehead. Histopathologic findings showed dense perivascular and periadnexal lymphocytic infiltration, mucin deposition between the dermal collagen fibers like cutaneous lupus erythematosus. But there was no involvement of epidermis or dermoepidermal junction. Those histopathologic findings suggest polymorphous light eruption, Jessner lymphocytic infiltration and reticulated erythematous mucinosis. Mucin deposition is seen in reticulated erythematous mucinosis and tumid lupus erythematosus. To distinguish tumid lupus erythematosus from reticulated erythematous mucinosis, clinicopathologic correlation is essential.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 1979;8(1):185-190
We have recently experienced a case of malignant schwannoma in the right ulnar nerve. A 17 years old male underwent a surgery with a total removal of malignant schwannoma of the right ulnar nerve in the elbow. The tumor mass was walnut size with infiltration to the adjacent structures. The pathological findings show the pattern of interlacing bundles of long spindle cells, plumper hypochromatic elongated or serpentile and eosinophilic nuclei with process and frequent mitosis, loss of cellular polarity and polymorphism can be seen. Pathological diagnosis was malignant schwannoma. Approximately 4 months later his initial operation, the tumor recurred at right elbow and axillary region and removed without any proper treatment.
