Objective To observe the effect of Yingliu mixture combined with methimazole on autoantibodies and traditional Chinese medical syndromes of patients with Graves’ disease ( GD) . Methods A randomized, paralleled and controlled trial was carried out in 92 GD patients. The patients were evenly randomized into treatment group and control group, and were separately treated with Yingliu mixture combined with methimazole, and methimazole. The treatment for both groups lasted 12 weeks, and forty patients in each group completed the whole treatment. The changes of thyroid function, thyroid autoantibodies, and traditional Chinese medical syndrome scores were observed before and after treatment, and the clinical efficacy was also evaluated. Results (1) After treatment for 12 weeks, serum levels of thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb), thyroglobulin antibody ( TGAb) and thyrotrophin receptor antibody ( TRAb) were decreased, and thyroid stimulating hormone ( TSH) was increased obviously in both groups after treatment ( P<0.01 compared with those before treatment) . The treatment group has better effect on improving TGAb and TRAb than the control group ( P<0.05). ( 2) Compared with those before treatment, the total scores of clinical symptoms and signs were decreased in the two groups at different time points of treatment course ( P<0.001) , and the decrease value in the treatment group was larger than that in the control group ( P<0.05) . ( 3) The total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.50%, higher than 82.50% of the control group ( P<0.05) . Conclusion Yingliu mixture combined with methimazole is effective on improving thyroid function, decreasing autoantibodies levels and relieving clinical symptoms and signs, and has better effect than methimazole alone for the treatment of GD.

Objective To explore the association between serum trace element levels in early pregnancy and gestational dia-betes mellitus(GDM),and the mediating effect of bile acid metabolism changes in this association. Methods A nested case-con-trol study was designed based on the Guangxi Zhuang Birth Cohort.A total of 248 pregnant women(case group=124,control group=124)were included from June 2015 to July 2019 in Nanning city. The concentrations of 8 trace elements and 31 bile acids in serum were measured in early pregnancy.Conditional logistic regression and BKMR models were used to analyze the associa-tion and combined effect between trace elements and GDM risk, respectively.Orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant anal-ysis(OPLS-DA)was used to screen potential bile acid biomarkers associated with GDM,and then conditional logistic regression was used to determine the association between specific bile acid levels and GDM risk.Multiple linear regression was used to e-valuate the association of serum trace element concentrations with differential bile acid metabolites.Mediation analysis was used to evaluate the mediating role of bile acids in the relationship between trace element exposure and GDM.Results After adjus-ting for confounding factors, serum vanadium(V)was found to be positively associated with the risk of GDM,while chromium(Cr),manganese(Mn),zinc(Zn),selenium(Se)and molybdenum(Mo)were negatively correlated with the risk of GDM(all P<0.05).The OPLS-DA model and conditional Logistic regression analysis showed that taurocholic acid(TCA),glycochenodeoxy-cholic acid 3-sulfate(GCDCA-3S),glycochenodeoxycholic acid-3-O-β-glucuronide(GCDCA-3Gln),glycoursodeoxycholic acid-3-sulfate(GUDCA-3S),taurodeoxycholic acid-3-sulfate(TDCA-3S),and chenodeoxycholic acid(CDCA)might be potential bile acid metabolic markers of GDM(all P<0.05).The concentrations of multiple trace elements were also significantly correlated with the levels of specific bile acids(all P<0.05).Mediation analysis showed that GCDCA-3Gln and TCA mediated the associa-tion between serum Zn and Se and GDM risk, respectively(all P<0.05).Conclusion Serum trace elements such as V and Cr are significantly associated with the risk of GDM in early pregnancy, and changes in bile acid metabolism may precede the occur-rence of GDM.It is suggested that the effect of trace elements on the metabolism of bile acids, especially conjugated bile acids, may be one of the mechanisms affecting the risk of GDM.

Objective:To explore the application of sound thinking combined with Sandwich teaching in oncology nursing practice teaching. Methods:A total of 68 nursing students who were interns in the Department of Oncology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from 2020 to 2021 were included in the study, and they were divided into a control group ( n=34) and an observation group ( n=34). The control group took routine teaching for interns, while the observation group took sound thinking combined with Sandwich teaching. The examination results, critical thinking abilities, and the evaluation of nursing teaching effectiveness of the two groups of nursing interns were evaluated. SPSS 22.0 was used for Chi-square test and t-test. Results:The examination scores of nursing students in the observation group were higher than those in the control group ( t=3.44, 2.87, 3.45, P<0.05). Compared with those before training, the scores of critical thinking ability of nursing interns in both groups increased after the training, and the observation group was better than the control group ( t=0.180, 3.64, 0.61, 2.92, 0.31, 2.74, 0.45, 2.65, 0.25, 3.58, 1.16, 2.85, 0.36, 3.20, 0.33, 2.38, P<0.05). The scores of autonomous learning ability, communication and collaboration ability, independent thinking ability, clinical reasoning ability, and problem-analyzing and -solving ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group ( t=2.82, 3.46, 2.68, 3.29, 2.44, P<0.05). Conclusion:Combining sound thinking with Sandwich teaching in nursing clinical practice teaching in department of oncology can improve the examination scores of nursing students, improve their critical thinking abilities, and enable them to give a high evaluation of nursing teaching effectiveness.

Journal of Public Health and Preventive Medicine 2025;36(1):114-117
Objective To understand the driver gene mutation status in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in Xi'an City, and to analyze the association with environmental exposure factors. Methods A total of 305 NSCLC patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of the Air Force Medical University from January 2019 to December 2023 were included. The driver gene mutation status was observed, and the relationship with environmental exposure factors was analyzed. Results The driver gene mutation rate of 305 patients was 46.89%, with EGFR gene mutation accounting for the highest proportion, and 4 cases of gene co-mutations were detected. There was a difference in gender among patients with different single drive gene mutations (P<0.05), and the proportion of EGFR in women was significantly higher (P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed that there were statistical differences in family history, smoking history, long-term cooking history, and fried smoked food intake between patients with driver gene mutation and patients without driver gene mutation (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis suggested that long-term cooking history (OR=2.392), and fried smoked food intake (OR=2.849) were the environmental exposure factors affecting EGFR gene mutation (P<0.05), and smoking history (OR=1.377) was an environmental exposure factor of KRAS gene mutation (P<0.05). Conclusion EGFR gene mutation accounts for the highest proportion of NSCLC patients in Xi'an City, and is mainly female. Long-term cooking history, and fried smoked food intake are related to EGFR gene mutation. There is a certain association between smoking history and KRAS gene mutation.
