AlM: To observe the clinical curative effect of calcium dobesilate capsule and yimaikang tablet for treating retinal vein occlusion ( RVO) .METHODS:A total of 120 patients (167 eyes) with RVO were divided into 2 groups at random. The control group of 60 cases ( 82 eyes ) were given calcium dobesilate capsule, and the treatment group of 60 cases ( 85 eyes ) received calcium dobesilate capsule and yimaikang tablet. Changes of visual acuity and clinical effects after 3 courses of treatment were compared and analyzed for all patients.RESULTS: Markedly effective 15 cases ( 23 eyes ) , effective 42 cases (57 eyes) and invalid 3 cases (5 eyes) in the 60 cases (85 eyes) of the treatment group, the total effective rate was 94. 1%. Eighty-two eyes of 60 cases in the control group, markedly effective in 8 cases ( 12 eyes), effective 38 cases (49 eyes), ineffective 14 cases (21 eyes), The total effective rate was 74. 4% in the control group. There were significant differences between the 2 groups of curative effect, and low incidence rate of adverse reaction. CONCLUSlON: Calcium dobesilate capsules and yimaikang tablet is effective and safe in the treatment of RVO.
2. Side population cells of thyroid gland: Research progress
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(7):840-842
Side population (SP) cells are highly enriched for stem cell activity and characterized by their ability to efflux the vital dye Hoechst 33342, because they express the ATP binding cassette (ABC)-dependent transporter ABCG2. SP cells can be selected from main population using flow cytometric analysis. Currently SP cells have been isolated from many tissues and organs. SP cells of different origins have some common characteristics. This article introduces the classifications, surface marker, and characteristics of SP cells.

Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2000;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the effects of platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF) on the expression of ?-smooth muscle actin(?-SMA) of cultured human retinal pigment epithelium cells(RPE). Methods Cultured human RPE cells of the 4-6 th passages were divided into two groups: Delbecco′s modified Eagle′s medium (DMEM) and 2%DMEM (20 g/L foeta calf serum+DMEM). PDGF (0,1,50 ng/ml) was added to medium. The expression of ?-SMA was detected and quantitatively analyzed by image process of immunofluorescence. Results PDGF stimulated the expression of ?-SMA of human RPE cells. In group of DMEM, The rate of RPE of ?-SMA expression was 40%-50% and the intension of fluorescence was 8 08 without PDGF. After stimulated by PDGF(1 ng/ml,50 ng/ml), the rates were 80% and 90% respectively, and the intension of fluorescence were 12.35 and 17.23. In 2%DMEM group, The rates of RPE of ?-SMA expression were 85% without PDGF, and 95% ,100% respectively treated with PDGF (1 ng/ml,50 ng/ml). The intension of fluorescence was 14.79 without PDGF, and after stimulated by PDGF, they were 16.28 at 1 ng/ml and 21.36 at 50 ng/ml,which was 2.7 times stronger than that in DMEM group without PDGF. Conclusion PDGF could stimulate RPE cells to express ?-SMA.

International Eye Science 2016;16(11):2115-2117
AIM: To investigate effect of autogenous conjunctival flap transplantation in the treatment of severe fungal corneal ulcer.
METHODS: A total of 83 cases ( 83 eyes ) with severe fungal corneal ulcer treated in our hospital from Jan. 2013 to Jan. 2016 were selected. Among them, 36 cases ( 36 eyes) were treated with drug therapy, and 47 patients(47 eyes ) were treated with autogenous conjunctival flap transplantation, two group did fungal culture and identification, observed the two groups treatment effect.RESULTS:The effective rate of surgical treatment group was 89%, significantly higher than that of drug treatment group, the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05 ); The effective rate of surgical treatment of filamentous bacteria was 92%, which was significantly higher than that of drug treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0. 05). The effective rates of surgical treatment and drug treatment of yeast were 80%and 78%, the difference was not statistically significant( P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Autologous conjunctival flap transplantation in the treatment of severe fungal corneal ulcer has good curative effect. The operation is simple, worthy of recommendation method. Filamentous bacterial corneal ulcer without good drug therapy effect, surgical treatment should be performed in a timely manner to improve the curative effect.
10.Significance of hypoxia induced alveolar epithelial cell apoptosis and hypoxia inducible factor-1alpha expression
Chinese Journal of Perinatal Medicine 2009;12(1):41-45
Objective To investigate the effects of cobalt chloride(COCl2)induced rat alveolar epithelial cell apoptosis and the significance of related apoptosis protein hypoxia inducible factor-lalpha(HIF-1 a)expression. Methods Alveolar epithelial cells were cultured in vitro and divided into four groups with 6 samples in each.Hypoxia 4 h group:added 500μmol/L COCl2 for 4 hours inducing alveolar epithelial cell hypoxia;hypoxia 24 h group:co-cultured with COCl2 for 24 hours;hypoxia 48 h group:co-cultured with CoCl2 for 48 hours;control group:no CoCl2 added. The apoptosis rates were detected by fluorescent microscope and flow cytometry. The apoptosis morphological changes of the cell were observed by transmission electron microscopy. The protein expression of HIF-la was detected bv Western Blot. Results (1)Fluorescent microscope results showed that apoptosis rate in hypoxia 4 h、24 h、48 h group[(5.83±0.76)%,(15.00±3.28)%and(51.50±3.00)%],were higher than control group[(1.50±0.50)%](P<0.05).(2)Flow cytometry analysis reached the same results as with fluorescent microscope.(3)Typical morphological changes of apoptosis were observed in hypoxia 24 h group.(4)HIF-1α expression in hypoxia 4 h、24 h and 48 h groups[0.69±0.035,1.02±0.044 and 0.71±0.046],were higher than control group(0.21±0.026)(P<0.01).(5)Positive correlations were found between relative amount of HIF-1αprotein and apoptosis rate by fluorescent microscope and flow cytometry analysis(r=0.484,P=0.016;r=0.713,P=0.009).Conclusions Hypoxia could induce apoptosis of alveolar epithelial cells, which may participate in the pathogenesis of hypoxia-induced lung injury.
