3.Differences between clinical and imaging standardized resident training method in ultrasound department
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2015;14(6):619-622
The standardized resident training is an important and necessary way to cultivate high-quality medical talents. The goals between clinical and imaging residents in standardized training of ultrasound department are different. For clinical residents, the purpose is to understand the ultrasound images of various common diseases, combine clinical manifestation with ultrasound images, and improve the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment. For imaging residents, the goal is much higher and stricter;they need to master solid ultrasonic knowledge, independent operational and diagnostic ability,in order to provide reliable and accurate ultrasonic diagnosis. We individually design the teaching plan and methods in ultrasound department,in order to improve teaching efficiency and quality.

5.MRI Findings of Spinal Epidural Angiolipomas with Literature Review
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2015;(6):432-434
Purpose To investigate the MRI findings and to improve the understanding of spinal epidural angiolipomas. Materials and Methods MRI findings were retrospectively analyzed in two cases of surgery and pathology proven spinal epidural angiolipomas. Relevant literatures were reviewed. Results Two cases of spinal epidural angiolipomas were located in the lumber and lower thoracic spinal canal. The tumors were elongated or spindle in shape within the epidural space, and parallel to the longitudinal axis. In both cases part of the tumors were hyperintense on T1WI and T2WI, attenuated on fat-saturated sequences with mild enhancement. Some areas were hypointenseon T1WI, hyperintenseon T2WI, unattenuated on fat-saturated sequences with apparent enhancement. Angiolipomas were classified according to the MRI features. One was type I and the other was type III. Both cases were non-infiltrative. Conclusion MRI shows the size, shape, MRI signals and the association with the adjacent structure of spinal epidural angiolipomas. The MRI classification is helpful for improving the understanding of the tumor. MRI is the best imaging modality to diagnose spinal epidural angiolipomas.
6.Peripheral N-methyl-D-aspartate Receptors Involved in Long-term Hyperalgesia Induced by Peripheral Injection of Formalin in Rats
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2009;15(7):625-627
Objective To investigate the role of peripheral N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors in the long-term hyperalgesia induced by peripheral injection of formalin in rats. Methods Formalin was injected in the paws of the SD rats with or without the MK-801 pre-injection. OX-42 expressions in the dorsal horn were observed, and the paw withdrawal thermal latency was measured. Results The OX-42 expression decreased and the paw withdrawal thermal latency prolonged in rats with MK-801 pre-injection. Conclusion Peripheral NMDA receptors may be involved in the long-term hyperalgesia.
7.Glia-immunity Interactions Underlying Mechanisms of Pain (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2008;14(6):501-503
Pain is classically viewed as being mediated solely by neurons. This view is dramatically changing by new research that spinal cord glial cells amplify pain. Recognition that glial activation is a powerful driving force for exaggerated pain opens up new ways to approach effective clinical pain control. The authors reviewed spinal cord glial cells and cytokines as key players in the creation and maintenance of neuropathic pain.
8.Differentiation of Candida Species by PCR-SSCP Fingerprinting Analysis
Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Thirty strains of seven Candida species from CICC(China Center of Industrial Culture Collection)were studied. The strains were differentiated by ITS1 region PCR-SSCP fingerprinting analysis and ITS2 region PCR-SSCP fingerprinting analysis. Results showed that both ITS1 region and ITS2 region were able to differentiate the seven species of Candida clearly. Contrasting the maps and effects on the identification of Candida species of ITS1 region with that of ITS2 region, result indicated that on the identification of Candida species the application of ITS2 region was better than ITS1 region.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2010;12(12):1590-1593
Objective To evaluate the expression level of cathepsin D protein in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and to determine its relationship with clinic pathological characters. Method Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of cathepsin D in 72 cases of primary NPC and 28 cases of normal nasopharyngal epithelial tissue ( NNET), and the correlation of its expression level with clinicopathologic features and clinical outcomes was evaluated. Results Significant down-regulation of cathepsin D was observed in NPC versus NNET(x2 = 13. 55, P <0. 01 ). In addition, cathepsin D down-regulation was significantly correlated with poor histological differentiation ( x2 =41.47, P <0. 01 ). Type Ⅰ and Ⅱ (well-moderately differentiated) NPC showed more intense immunoreactivity of cathepsin D compared with type Ⅲ (poorly differentiated) NPC. Cathepsin D up-regulation was significantly correlated with clinical stage, recurrence, and lymph node and distant metastasis (x2 = 13.43,22. 86,21.61,14. 32, P <0. 01 ).Tumors with cathepsin D up-regulation tended to have advanced clinical stage, frequent recurrences, and metastasis to lymph node and distant organ. Conclusion The expression of cathepsin D was closely related with the differentiation, clinical stage and pathological grade of NPC. Cathepsin D could be served as an effective differentiation marker for the histopathological grading of NPC and a possible therapy target.
