Objective To investigate the features of the auditory mismatch response (MMR) elicited from the preschoolers and adults. Methods 9 preschoolers aged 3-6 and 8 adults were elicited and measured MMR to speech sounds (/bal/, /pal/) using the Oddball paradigm. Results The response was typical mismatch negativity in adults, and was slow positive waves with larger amplitude in the preschoolers.MNOVA results showed that there were significantly differences between the 2 groups, said the latency of MMRs was significantly longer and the amplitude was larger in the preschoolers than in the adults (P<0.05). Conclusion Stable MMRs with distinct characters in preschoolers and adults have been obtained respectively.

OBJECTIVETo study the effects of expansion fashion and expansion quantity on retention of cement-expanded composition screw post (CECSP).
METHODSNinety simulated tooth roots made of polymethylmethacrylate were divided into ten groups, each fashion induded five groups. The expanded plastic sheath of tricuspid valve was made with the special separated valve device and cemented and tightened up into root with the screw post at the same time by ZPC. Then the root and screw post-core system was tested by the speed of 10 mm/min on the INSTRON 4302 and the retention force was recorded.
RESULTSIt appeared that the difference between different expansion fashion and different expansion quantity were significantly (P < 0.05). The retention of expansion fashion one was significantly greater than those of fashion two. The retention was best when expansion quantity was within 10%.
CONCLUSIONDuring clinic operation, we should apply definite fashion and control the expansion quantity within 10%, and the screw post should tighten up to the bottom of prepared root.

OBJECTIVETo assess the efficacy and safety of Saw Palmetto Extract Capsules in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
METHODSWe conducted a multi-centered open clinical study on 165 BPH patients treated with Saw Palmetto Extract Capsules at a dose of 160 mg qd for 12 weeks. At the baseline and after 6 and 12 weeks of medication, we compared the International Prostate Symptom Scores (IPSS), prostate volume, postvoid residual urine volume, urinary flow rate, quality of life scores (QOL), and adverse events between the two groups of patients.
RESULTSCompared with the baseline, both IPSS and QOL were improved after 6 weeks of medication, and at 12 weeks, significant improvement was found in IPSS, QOL, urinary flow rate, and postvoid residual urine. Mild stomachache occurred in 1 case, which necessitated no treatment.
CONCLUSIONSaw Palmetto Extract Capsules were safe and effective for the treatment of BPH.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate difference in the extraction of specimens between via the middle part incision of posterior vagina and via morcellation.METHODS: A retrospective analysis was performed in 70 cases of laparoscopic hystero myomectomy admitted to the gynecological ward from June 2017 to June 2018 in Shenyang Women and Children's Hospital;tissue extraction was accomplished in a specimen retrieval bag via middle part incision of posterior vagina in 36 cases, while 34 cases through morcellation.RESULTS: All the 70 patients with uterine fibroids underwent laparoscopic surgery successfully. The specimen was extracted via middle part incision of posterior vagina or through morcelation. The retrieval bags were not damaged and no complications occurred. The operation time and blood loss were compared between the two groups, and there was no significant difference[(106.58±10.24)min vs.(104.32±10.58)min,(88.89±41.60)mL vs.(88.82±46.76)mL,P>0.05].The vaginal incision healed well in follow-up.CONCLUSION: The middle part incision of posterior vagina took great advantage of the nature path. The way of the extraction is an efficacious and minimally morbid technique for removing the intact entrapped specimen after laparoscopic myomectomy. It is feasible and easy to grasp.
