Background and purpose:Both nature killer cells(NK)and cytoxic T lymphocytes in the body tissues of human are the dominant components of cellular immunity,This study was done to explore the degree of infiltration of NK/T in lung squamous cell carcinoma and its relation to patient survival and prognosis.Methods: CCD8 as the markers cytoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)and CD56 as the markers natural killer(NK)were stained immunohistochemically to detect the distribution and infiltration in the lung squamous cell carcinoma specimens. Results:In 39 of 68 lung neoplasm,whose CTL infiltration was zero or mild,the five-year survival rate was 18%, while in 29 with marked CTL infiltration,the five-year survival rate was 42%.In 46 of 68 lung neoplasm,whose NK infiltration was zero or mild,the five-year survival rate was 14%,while in 22 with marked NK infiltration,the five-year survival rate was 45%.In 48 of 68 lung neoplasm,both the NK and T cells were zero or mild,the five-year survival rate was 33%,while in 20 with marked NK and T cell infiltration,the five-year survival rate was 54%.The five-year survival difference among the patients with NK,T infiltration either marked or zero/mild infiltration were significant(x~2=18.62, P=0.00).Conclusions:The degree of NK and T infiltration is positively correlated with the prognosis and survival time of lung squamous cell carcinoma patients.

Objective　To investigate the molecular regulation of G1 arrest of mouse thymocytes induced by ionizing radiation. Methods　Cell cycle was analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM) following staining of cells with proidium iodide. Fluorescent staining and flow cytometry analysis were employed for measurement of protein expression. Results　It was demonstrated that G1 phase of mouse thymocytes increased significantly at 12h after whole body irradiation (WBI) with the doses of 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 Gy, and at 24h following 2.0Gy exposure, measured by FCM. In the time course experiment, it was found that G1 phase of thymocytes increased significantly at 4h, reached a peak level at 24h and came down toward 48h after WBI with 2.0Gy X-rays. The results also showed that after 2.0Gy exposure, the expression of proteins in mouse thymocytes increased significantlty from 1h to 8h for p53, for p21 from 4h to 48h, and for MDM2 at 4h and 8h, measured by FCM. But no change was found for GADD45 protein expression. Conclusion　These results suggest that G1 arrest could be induced by a single dose of 0.5 Gy, 1.0Gy or 2.0Gy, and its molecular control might be established through the p53-p21 pathway.

Objective To introduce the technique and report our initial experience of Retziussparing robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALP) and compare perioperative outcomes with the standard veil of Aphrodite technique (Veil technique).Methods nineteen Retzius-sparing RALP and 20 Veil nerve sparing RALP with posterior reconstruction for T1c to T2c prostate cancer performed by a single surgical team between 2015 January and 2016 December were retrospectively reviewed.Preoperative data of patients in Retzius-sparing group [patient age (66.3 ± 5.9) years,BMI (25.5 ± 3.1) kg/m2,tPSA (16.4 ± 5.0) ng/ml,biopsy Gleason score 6 (5-7),prostate volume (32.7 ± 7.4) ml and IIEF-5 score 14(5-18)] and Veil group[patient age (64.6 ±7.3) years,BMI (25.5 ±2.0) kg/m2,tPSA (18.5 ± 11.0) ng/ml,biopsy Gleason score 7(5-8),prostate volume (31.4± 10.8)ml and IIEF-5 score 15(6-19)].No significant difference was found between the two group in the above parameters (all P ＞ 0.05).All patients were continent preoperatively.Retzius-sparing RALP and Veil nerve sparing RALP were performed via transperitoneal RALP.Operative time,estimated blood loss,postoperative hospital stay,postoperative staging,postoperative Gleason score,return of urinary continence and postoperative IIEF-5 score of the two groups were statistically analyzed.Results All 39 cases were successfully performed robotically without conversion,transfusion or other major intraoperative and postoperative complications.Postoperative pathology confirmed pT2a 5 cases,pT2b 8 cases and pT2c 6 cases in Retzius-sparing group and pT2a 7 cases,pT2b 5 cases and pT2c 8 cases in Veil group (all P ＞ 0.05).For Retzius group,operative time was (106.5 ± 26.4) min and estimated blood loss was (48.9 ± 20.2) ml;for Veil group,operative time was (93.2± 20.8) min and estimated blood loss was (42.5 ± 16.8) ml.No significant difference was found in the above parameters (all P ＞ 0.05).Urethral catheter was removed at postoperative 7-day (Retzius-sparing group) and 21-day (Veil group),respectively.18 patients in Retzius-sparing group achieved urinary continence (0 pads) immediately after the removal of urinary catheter,while 1 patient returned to full continence in 2 weeks postoperatively.Patients in Veil group returned to continence (6.8 ± 3.6) weeks postoperatively (P ＜ 0.001).At 3-month follow up,IIEF-5 score was 14 (4-16) in Retziussparing group and 14 (4-18) in Veil group;no significant changes was noted in preoperative and postoperative IIEF-5 score in both groups,or in postoperative IIEF-5 scores in the two groups (P ＞ 0.05).No sign of tumor recurrence was appreciated for all cases (tPSA ＜ 0.2 ng/ml) during follow-up of 6 months (3 to 12 months).Conclusions Retzius-sparing RALP and the Veil nerve sparing RALP were both effective for the surgical treatment of localized prostate cancer.Our data revealed no statistical difference in perioperative outcomes between the two approaches,however,the Retzius-sparing technique seemed to yield a better outcome regarding early return to urinary continence postoperatively.

Objective The application of laboratory information system (LIS) increases extensively. The objective is to expatiate how to widen the application of LIS so that it can be seamlessly combined with HIS, and play a greater role in quality control of clinical laboratory. Methods A consummate and compact working process was designed. A bidirectional communication from equipment to client was established. Module modes and prefect security systems were set up. Results With the existing HIS network environment, corresponding bar codes were generated through the examination applications from the doctor's workstation. At the same time, patients' basic information and test information were generated based on the bar code. In this way, the seamless combination of LIS and HIS were achieved. The switch of the functional module was simple, efficient and easy to maintain. The internet version Kaspersky antivirus software was used in the area of security. Database were backed up automatically and regularly. Authority was strictly defined for operators in different level. Conclusion Through the current application in our section, LIS has already been an essential part in the process to become a modern hospital.

OBJECTIVETo study the medium and long term effects of perfusion of bone marrow stromal stem cells through optional artery for the treatment of non-traumatic femoral head avascular necrosis.

METHODSFrom January 2000 to December 2004,62 cases(78 hips) with non-traumatic femoral head necrosis accepted optional artery marrow stromal stem cells infusion treatment and had complete follow-up data, including 43 hips of 35 males and 35 hips of 27 females with an average age of 36.3 years old (22 to 54). According to preoperative imaging data, 16 hips were ARCO I stage, 52 hips were II stage, 10 hips were III a stage. Harris score was 64.94 +/- 8.12 preoperatively. Postoperative Harris score at the last follow-up, imaging changes,DSA vascular changes were analysis.

RESULTSThe patients were followed up for 9 to 13 years (means 11 years). By the end of the follow-up, a total of 18 hips got artificial joint replacement, 10 hips of preoperative ARCO I, II period got artificial hip joint replacement, 8 hips of IIIa period got hip artificial joint replacement. Harris score was 71.21 +/- 0.19 at the end of the follow-up, it was obviously enhanced compared with preoperative. DSA showed blood vessels of supply the femoral head increased thickening.

CONCLUSIONPerfusion of bone marrow stromal stem cells through optional artery can effective treat non-traumatic femoral head necrosis of ARCO I, II period, it can make the femoral circumflex artery and its branches increased thickening.

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of intravesical electric stimulation (IVES) on bladder sensation of neurogenic bladder.Methods28 patients with neurogenic bladder was evaluated, which all underwent intravesical bladder stimulation. Their bladder sensation were analyzed before and after the treatment.Results57.1% of the patients increased bladder sensation after treatment, 32.1% appeared the first sensation and urge sensation after treatment, 42.9% remained stable.ConclusionIntravesical bladder stimulation is effective to improve bladder sensation in a majority of the patients with neurogenic bladder.
