1.Experimental studies on the efficacy of thiabendazole against the migratory stages of ascarids in mouse.
The Korean Journal of Parasitology 1967;5(1):35-50
The following results were obtained in the present study concerning the effectiveness of thiabendazole upon the larvae of the migrating stages. In the early observation group: The average number of larvae of the group treated with single dose and the group treated with three doses were reduced in proportion of 52.2%, 58.5 % respectively compared with control group. In the late observation group: The reduction rate in the group treated with singel dose and group treated with three doses were 59.3 % and 63.2 % respectively compared with control group. The reduction rates of larvae from liver and lungs in the early drug administration group were 72.9 % and 59.7 % respectively, and 14.9 % and 54.8 % in the delayed drug administration group. In the group of drug given before and after infection, the number of recovered larvae were reduced 42.2 % and 31.1 % respectively compared with the control group. The peak number in organs was delayed 1 to 2 days in the treated group than that of control group. The survival period of the infected mouse was prolonged by the drug administration. The pathological changes were reduced by the administration of the drug. Through above results, it was concluded that thiabendazole reduced the number of migrating larvae and delayed the normal migration of the larvae in tissues and reduced the pathological changes in the tissues.

2.Histopathological Study of Erythema Mutiforma.
Korean Journal of Dermatology 1979;17(1):65-71
55 patients which were clinically erythema multiforme and were diagnosed by punch biopsy, were studied clinically and histologically. The results obtained were as follows; l. Erythema multiforme was more common in female than in male and they were most frequently occured in 3rd decade. 2. In most patients individuaIs had various type of skin lesions (macule, papuIe, bullous and iris) and the skin lesions were scattered on the various sites of thc body. 3. 30 patients out of 55 patients had seasonal variation, especially frequently occured in spring k autumn. 4. In the histopathological study while dermal disturbance was a predominant finding in the macular lesion, epidermal necrosis was seen high frequency in bullous & iris lesions, 5. The papillary edema showed in most cases, however 2 cases out of 55 lesions had not papillary edema. 6. The dermal inflammatory infiltrates were composed chiefly of lyrnpho-histiocytic and significant number of eosinophils were present in the inflammatory infiltrate in 27 % of the bullous lesions.

8.Preoperative Planning of Oblique Femoral Trochanteric Osteotomy by Geometric Analysis
The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1995;30(5):1469-1480
Oblique single-plane trochanteric osteotomy, in which an oblique cut is made through the femoral trochanteric area and the bony fragments are rotated at the face of the cut in direct contact with each other, allows simulatenous correction of the femoral neck-shaft angle, femoral anteversion as well as flexion/extension effect. Only approximate methods of calculating the correction effects of this procedure have been introduced. Considering unique spatial orientation of femoral neck, we developed a rigorous method to calculate preoperatively the obliquity of the single-plane osteotomy and the amount of rotation required to achieve the target femoral conformation, through geometric analysis. The correction effect by oblique trochanteric osteotomy on the geometry of proximal femur was dependent not only on the amount of change of the neck-shaft angle and femoral anteversion but also on the preoperative neck-shaft angle and femoral anteversion themselves. The flexion/extesion effect was determined by the direction of the correction and the preoperative neck orientation. Computer graphic simulation study confirmed the validity of this method. A program written in QBASIC was introduced to make this complex calculation method more useful in the clinical practice.
