A case of Lichen planus in 41 year old with predisposing emotional factor is reported here and reviewed therapeutic experiences and reveiwed of literatures. This patient who has been suffering from pruritic, dull erythematous maculo-papular eruptions of trunk and extremites which was preoccupied with imagination as if she were exposed sequela to atomic bomb explosion in Japan, World War II, is presented.

The Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association 1983;18(1):74-80
The treatment of subtrochanteric fracture of the femur is one of the most difficult problems. Open reduction and rigid internal fixation is the choice of treatment nowaday. Zickel(1967) reported a new fixation device to treat subtrochanteric fracture of the femur which was designed to provide more rigid fixation in both major fragments, control angulation and rotation, and permit earlier ambulation. The authors reviewed 14 cases of subtrochanteric fracture of the femur which were treated with Zickel-Nail from June, 1979 to November, 1980. The results were obtained as follows: 1. The average age of patients was 44.7 years. 2. In 10 cases without associated injury, parallel-bar walking was possible within postoperative one week. In 8 cases of these, crutch walking with partial weight bearing was possible within postoperative 2 weeks. In others, there were some benifits in bed-side care because of rigid internal fixation which was provided with Zickel-Nail. 3. There were no significant postoperative complicatons except 3 cases of technical error. 4. There was no limb shortening except one case which was old complicated nonunion with severe osteoporosis and had a new fracture during Zickel-Nail procedure. 5. There were no differences in radiological bony union between pathologic fracture and traumatic fracture except one case with liver cell carcinoma of subtrochanteric region of the femur which we could not do follow-up study.

The one case of sparganosis is described, the patient, 45 years old male, had adult fist sized tumor mass on scrotum for 3 year's duration and removed 4 adults sparganum mansonoides by surgical operation. Attention is calIed to the importance of sparganosis in subcutaneous swelling or tumor because of to took lived snake or non-boiling water in customary at Korea.

Korean Circulation Journal 1983;13(1):141-150
The duration of the phases of left ventricular systole was measured from simultaneous recordings of the electrocardiogram, phonocardiogram and carotid arterial pulse tracing using a multichannel photographic system with paper speed at 100 mm per second. Observations were made in 81 male and 66 female patients with hypertension and 41 healthy males and 38 healthy females who served as controls. All hypertension patients were classified by change in funduscopic finding, EKG and grade of diastolic pressure. STI were measured in each group and analysed. The resutls were as follows: 1. The normal PEP/LVET was 0.293 in male and 0.303 in female. 2. In male & female hypertensive patients, all STI were significantly difference to that of normal control except QA2. 3. In male hypertensive patients, the degree of EKG, funduscopic change and diastolic pressure were positive relation to the increase of PEP/LVET.

10.Limbal-Conjunctival Autograft Transplantation for the Treatment of Primary Pterygium.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 1999;40(7):1804-1810
Pterygium is a common surgical ocular disease which recurs frequently. Various different techniques have been developed for the successful surgical treatment of pterygium and among them, autograft transplantation is known as the best successful surgical method. For the prevention of recurrence, the corneal epithelium must heal before the fibrovascular tissue grows and reaches to limbus. For this, we have believed that limbal transplanta- tion is more suitable than conjunctival transplantation. We had performed limbal-conjunctival autograft trasplata- tion for 52 patients with primary pterygia whose age was under 40 years old,or whose pterygia had involved above 5mm beyond limbus and had shown diffuse subconjunctival fibrovascular tissue. The recurrence rate was 1.9%and therewere no complications and no surgical problems. Therefore,we recommend this surgical technique as a safe and effective method of treating primary pterygia with the risk factors of recurrence.
