1.A case of fetus-in-fetu.
Journal of the Korean Pediatric Society 1993;36(12):1761-1764
Fetus-in-fetu is a very rare condition in which a malformed monozygotic twin lies within the body of its fellow, usually in the retroperitoneal cavity. Today it is generally accepted that the distinction between fetus-in-fetu and teratoma is largely determined by whether an axial skeleton system is present. We experienced a 6 months female infant who was admitted to our unit because of incidental abdominal mass. a plain abdominal X-ray showed that the mass contained completely formed fetal skeletal system. It was removed by surgery. By pathologic and radiologic study of mass, We confirmed as a fetus-in-fetu. We report the case with brief review of related literatures.

Journal of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons 1999;26(5):879-882
The frontal sinus has importance from the aesthetic and functional points of view, so management of the frontal sinus should be conducted. The management may differ with the severity of displacement, the extent of displacement, as well as the involvement of the brain and nasofrontal duct. Fifteen patients with frontal sinus fracture were managed differently depending on the severity of their injuries for between 14 and 31 months, and then evaluated. During the follow-up period, encountered no complications and the overall result of the foreh ead contour was satisfactory.

Journal of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons 1998;25(6):1046-1052
This retrospective study comprise 595 patients with facial bone fractures in various accidents and treated in the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Chung Buk National University Hospital between September 1991 and December 1997. The medical records of these 595 patients were reviewed and analyzed in order to obtain the clinical pattern and understand the therapeutic modalities. The following results were obtained. 1. The most prevalent age group was the third decade(35.1%). 2. The monthly incidence was the highest in September and the most common accident time was between 6:00 p.m. and midnight. 3. The most common etiology was motor vehicle accidents(59.5%) followed by assault(26.2%), fall(11.4%), sports(2.7%). 4. The male predominated over female in 4.27:1 ratio. 5. The most common fracture site was nose(30.0%) followed by mandible(26.7%), zygoma(23.3%), orbit(8.6%), maxilla(8.1%), frontal sinus(3.2%). 6. The most common fracture site of mandible was parasymphsis(34.9%) followed by angle(27.1%), condyle(23.4%), symphysis(14.5%). 7. The soft tissue injury was the most common associated injury(51.1%). Fcial soft tissue injuries were sustained by 53.3% in the highest rate associated with the associated injuries. 8. Open reduction was used for 63.7% of total cases while 33.8% of total cases required closed reduction, and 2.5% of total cases treated conservatively. 9. The complication rate was 14.1% and the ophthalmologic complication rate comprise 44.9% of all complications.

A total of 48 subjects harbouring Trichuris trichiura, Ascaris lumbricoides, hookworm and/or Enterobius vermicularis were treated with oxantel/pyrantel pamoate tablets (100 mg of each) in a single dose of 20 mg base per kg of body weight. In all 37 cases of A. lumbricoides and 8 cases of A. duodenale infections cured completely, and the mean recovered worm-load was 3.8 with a range of 1-21 and 5.8 with a range of 3-9 respectively. In T. trichiura infection, 32(71.1%) of 45 cases cured completely and the average egg reduction rate was 90.8 per cent. The mean recovered worm-load was 14.6 with a rnage of 1-77 worms. On the other hand, in E. vermicularis infection, 37 (84.1 %) of 44 patients were negative eggs by anal swab tests on the 10 to 11th days and 27 (61.4%) on the 20 to 21st days after treatment. The mean recovered worm-load was 17.7 with a range of 1-62. Only one patient with Trichostrongylus orientalis treated with this drug showed no eggs in his stools throughout the post-treatment examinations. Side effects were not noted in all treated cases. These findings demonstrate that a single dose of oxantel/pyrantel pamoate tablets can be considered a drug of choice for multiple infections with these nematodes.

Ankle arthrodesis has been regarded as a good operative treatment for post traumatic and rheumatoid arthritis of ankle, and ankle arthroplasty has been also developed with several types, from 1970, by Lord & Marotte. Ankle arthroplasty is more functional & less cosmetic troublesome than arthrodesis, and with more developed prosthesis design, more good result will come. The authors operated 6 cases of total ankle arthroplasty for posttraumatic and rheumatoid arthritis of ankle, which were also indications of arthrodesis, and introduce the results and operative problems of ankle arthroplasty.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1983;19(4):735-740
The pseudolymphoma of the stomach is known to be a benign porliferation of lymphoid tissue, which can bemistaken hostoloigcally for malignant lymphoma. The etiology of pseudolymphoma is controversial, but it B believedto be a manifestation of chronic inflammatory process. Authors present 3 cases of gastric lymphoma. Impresssionsof upper gastrointestual series were as follows; lymphoma or chronic gastritis in one case, ulcerative carcinomain another case and early gastric carcinoma in the other case. Initial endoscopic findings suggested infiltratingcarcinoma, ulcerative carcinoma and two benign gastric ulcers, respectively. One case was associated wtih earlygastric carcinoma.
