Korean Journal of Dermatology 1976;14(4):375-381
We presented a case of perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens associated with acne conglobata in 40-year-old rnale. He had a sausage-shaped plaque containing many fistular tracts on right temnporal area and cicatrizing alopecia on occiput. On the middle portion of upper back he had a adult fist-sized plaque containing many fistular tracts. Histopathologically epidermis showed mild byperkeratosis and keratotic plugging and in the dermis most hair follicles were destroyed and replacel by fibrous tissue but there were moderxte cellular infiltration composed of neutrophils, lymphocytes a.nd hist.iocytes around the remained hair follicles. On serum electrophoresis alpha,-globulin was elevated and gamna globulin was the upper liviit of nornal variation. Skin tests with murnps vaccine, dinitrochloro benzene (DNCB) and old tuberculin disclosed the evidence of de reased c "ll-mediated immunity(CMI). All th se findings suggest thzt immune rriechanisni r,-ay be concerned ivith the pathogenesis in this case. He wa.s treated with th internal administration of antibiotic and corticosteroid and with surgical opening and curettage of fistular tracts

We report two cases of multiple neurilemmomas occured in a 17-year-old female and in a 76-year-old male. Both cases were histopathologically confirmed as neurilemmoma and immunohistochemical study showed S-100 protein in the tumor cells of case 1.

A clinical and histologic survey was done on 71 cases of basal cel carcinoma(BCC) filed at Department of Clinical Fathology, Kang Nam, Han Kang, and Kang Dong Sacred Heart Hospital during past 13 year s from 1979 to 1991. The results were summerized as follows: 1. Of all malignant skin tumors BCC accounted for 31.6%. The frequency of BCC in the total number of outpatients visiting the Department of Dermatology was 0.06%. 2. The ratio of men to women with HCC was 1:1.03. 83.8% of the pat.ients with BCC were older than the age of l0 years with the mean age of 56.9 years. 3. 83.8% of the BCC appared in the face, especially on the nose(25.4%), eyelid(20.3%). 4. On the basis of classification of Lever et al, the solid type(66.7% ) was the most com mon histologic pattern, followed by the adenoid(8.8%), pigmented(8.8%), and etc. By the classification of Farmer et al, the nodulocystic type(35.1% ) was the most common histologic pattern followed by infiltrative(31.6%), adenoid(8.8%), pigmented(8.8%), and etc. By the classification on Sexton et al, in the order of decreasing frequency, liistologic subtypes were the nodular(43.9%), mixed (22.8%), infiltrative(19.3%), supeficial(3.5%), morpheic(3.5%), and micronodular(3.5%).

Korean Journal of Urology 1995;36(2):222-224
Neurilemmoma is well-encapsulated tumor of Schwann cell origin. The majority arise in peripheral nerve or cranial nerve, and rare in retroperitoneum. Although it is incidentally detected by the advances in diagnostic procedures, especially in ultrasound and computed tomography, it is confirmed by pathologic findings. The treatment is surgical excision. We report a case of retroperitoneal neurilemmoma arising from adjacent to adrenal gland, in 45 years old female.

Korean Journal of Urology 1995;36(1):110-113
Renal angiomyolipoma is composed of mature fats, smooth muscles and abnormal blood vessels which arises mainly from renal parenchyme and compresses the calyx or protrudes the renal cortex, but which extends into the renal cyst is rare. Recently it can be easily diagnosed preoperatively by several diagnostic modalities such as ultrasonography, computed tomography and several clinical signs associated with tuberous sclerosis, although it`s clinical and radiological features are similar with renal cell carcinoma. We report a case of renal angiomyolipoma without tuberous sclerosis, extending into the renalcyst, which was confused with renal pelvis tumor in a 73 years old male.

Korean Journal of Urology 1992;33(4):706-709
A clinical evaluation was made on 19 patients with urethral stricture following urethral catheterization in 155 urethral stricture patients during 12 years from January. 1979 to December. 1990. The following results were obtained. I. In 155 cases of urethral stricture, iatrogenic urethral stricture was 24 cases (15.4%) of which the most common cause was urethral catheterization(19 cases) and followed by instrumentation (2 cases). 2. In 19 cases of urethral stricture following urethral catheterization. the most common site was the anterior urethra (bulbous 10 cases. pendulous 7 cases) and multiple strictures showed 5 of 17 anterior urethral strictures. 3. In 19 cases, 16 cases (84.2%) occurred in patients who have kept the urethral catheter within seven days and 18 cases (94.7%) were inserted and cared the urethral catheter by non-urologist. 4. Treatment was performed internal urethrotomy in 16, dilatation in 2 and catheter indwelling during 1 week in 1. 5. In 24 cases of iatrogenic urethral stricture. mean number of dilation to recurrent strictures after primary procedure had required O.5 time. From our results. we suggest that education for the careful insertion and method of care for the urethral catheter to non-urologist is least likely to induce urethral stricture formation.
