In order to investigate the antiviral effect of chinonin against Herpes simplex virus (HSV), the encephalitis model in mice and skin infection model in guinea pigs were established by HSV- I and HSV-II infection respectively. Acyclovir was used as the positive reference drug to evaluate the antiviral capacity of chinonin. Chinonin showed an obvious therapeutic effect on encephalitis in mice at doses of 25 and 50 mg/kg. At both dosages, chinonin demonstrated stronger protection than acyclovir (1 and 5 mg/kg) to the infected mice from death. It was also found that chinonin could treat the skin infection in guinea pigs effectively. The therapeutic effect of chinonin was similar to that of acyclovir (5 mg/kg) at 25 mg/kg but obviously better than that at 50 and 75 mg/ kg. In conclusion, chinonin is a potential candidate for the treatment against HSV.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the prevalence, clinical feature and levels of protein carbonyl (PCO) in serum of type 2 diabetes mellitus combining obstrucitive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAHS).
METHOD:
Two hundred and three patients with type 2 diabetes were taken multi lead sleep detection and their AHI, age, height, body mass index (BMI),waistline, duration of diabetes, fast blood glucose, HbA1c level and level of PCO in serum were recorded.
RESULT:
The prevalence of OSAHS was 79.2% in 203 patients, serious apnea 30.4%, moderate apnea 45.4%, mild apnea 24.2%. BMI, waistline, fast blood glucose, HbA1c level and level of PCO in serum were higher in patients complicated with OSAHS (P < 0.01). HbA1c was independently and positively correlated with patients with OSAHS risk (P < 0.05, OR 6.11). The independent correlation factors of AHI included HbA1c level,BMI, waistline, duration of diabetes and level of PCO in serum, with HbA1c as the predominant factor (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
The prevalence of OSAHS was higher in patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus combining (OSAHS). Moreover, in these patients poor glucose control and aggravated protein oxidative injury were observed.

Objective To investigate the effect of preoperative nursing intervention in the prevention of postoperative retention of urine of patients after total knee arthroplasty. Methods 128patients underwent total knee arthroplasty were divided into the intervention group and the control group (64 cases in each group) by random number table. The patients in the control group received routine nursing care and the patients in the intervention group accepted preoperative nursing intervention 3 to 5 days before surgery. The incidence of post-operation urinary retention, catheterization, satisfaction degree and compliance of the patients were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence rate of post-operation urinary retention and catheterization of the patients was respectively 15.6%(10/64) and 7.8%(5/64) in the intervention group, lower than 34.4%(22/64) and 23.4%(15/64) in the control group. The difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.00, 5.93, respectively, P<0.05). The satisfaction degree and compliance of patients were respectively 95.3%(61/64) and 75.0%(48/64) in the intervention group, higher than 85.2%(52/64) and 31.3%(20/64) in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.12, 24.60,respectively, P < 0.05). Conclusions Preoperative nursing intervention have good effect in the prevention of postoperative retention of urine and improving satisfaction degree of patients underwent total knee arthroplasty.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2013;27(21):1184-1187
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the expression and clinical significance of BUB1 protein in laryngeal squa mous cell carcinoma (LSCC) tissues.
METHOD:
The expression of BUB1 protein was measured by immunohistochemistry (EliVision two steps) in 55 cases of LSCC tissues,30 cases of adjacent normal laryngeal mucosa tissues, the relationship of BUB1 expression with clinical pathologic factors in LSCC was also analyzed.
RESULT:
The positive rate of BUB1 protein in LSCC tissues (50.9%, 28/55) was significantly lower than that in adjacent normal laryngeal mucosa tissues (83.3%, 25/30), P < 0.01. The positive rate of BUB1 protein was correlated with differentiation grading and lymph node metastasis of LSCC (P < 0.05, respectively), but not with patient's sex, age, smoking, tumor site, T-stage and clinical stage(P > 0.05, respectively).
CONCLUSION
The low expresssion of BUB1 protein is closely related to the tumorigenesis and development of LSCC, and can be a molecular marker for prognosticating metastasis and prognosis of LSCC.

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(1):98-104
Based on microfabrication technology and electrochemical modification method, a micro electrochemical sensor for nitrate ( NO-3 ) determination was developed. A micro sensor chip with working electrode and counter electrode was used as the signal convertor of the sensor. The area of the micro working_electrode was only 1 mm2 . As an electrocatalysis sensitive material, copper was electrodeposited onto the working electrode by square_wave pulse current electrodeposition method. The morphologies and components of freshly deposited materials were examined by scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ) and X_ray diffraction ( XRD) to explore key factors that affected the electrocatalytic ability of the deposited copper layer for reducing nitrate ions. The experimental results revealed that under the optimal conditions, the deposited copper layer was macroporous and had a larger effective surface area that could serve as a more effective electrocatalyst in facilitating nitrate reduction. Electrochemical response of the macroporous copper layer was characterized by linear sweep voltammetry in acidic supporting electrolytes ( pH=2 ) . The electroanalytical results showed that the modified microsensor had marked sensitivity for standard nitrate samples within the concentration range from 12. 5 to 3000 μmol/L (in the range of 12. 5-200 μmol/L yielded straight line:y1=-0. 1422x-10. 326, R12=0. 9976, while in the range of 200-3000 μmol/L yielded straight line: y2=-0. 0984x-22. 144, R22=0. 9927) with a detection limit of 2 μmol/L (S/N=3). The developed electrochemical microsensor was also employed for nitrate determination in water samples collected from lakes and rivers near the city of Beijing. The results were in good agreement with the data given by qualified water quality detection institute, with the deviations from 3 . 9% to 15 . 4%.
