Aim To investigate the effect of resveratrol on astrocyte activation after cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats. Methods 45 male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into sham, control and resveratrol groups, 15 rats in each group.Resveratrol or solvent was intra-peritoneally perfused into the rats for 7 consecutive days after 3h for MCA I /R.Cerebral infarction volume with TTC,neurological function score with Longa score, and pathological change with HE staining, the protein expressions of Caspase-3 with immunohistochemistry at 24h after MCA I /R were examined. The protein ex-pressions of GFAP and NeuN in penumbra were detec-ted with immunohistochemistry and immunofluores-cence at 14d after MCA I /R.Results Resveratrol treatment significantly improved the neurological func-tion score, decreased the infarct volume, reduced neu-ron loss, and inhibited the activation and proliferation of astrocytes, compared with the control group.Con-clusion Resveratrol can inhibit the excessive activa-tion of astrocytes, protect neurons in penumbra and im-prove neurological function.

Objective:To investigate the risk factors and establish a prediction model of primary non-response (PNR) to anti-tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) monoclonal antibody in Crohn′s disease (CD) patients. Methods:From December 1, 2018 to July 31, 2022, 103 patients with CD treated with the anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University were enrolled (modeling group), and at the same time, 109 patients with CD treated with anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody in Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University were selected (validation group). The baseline clinical data of all the patients before the first treatment of anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody were collected, which included C-reactive protein (CRP), the simplified Crohn′s disease activity index (CDAI), and modified multiplier simple endoscopic score for Crohn′s disease (MM-SES-CD), etc. Multivariate logistic regression was used to screen the independent risk factors of PNR in patients with CD treated with the anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody, and to establish the nomograms prediction model. The area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC), the net reclassification index (NRI), integrated discrimination improvement index (IDI), and decision curve analysis (DCA) were used to evaluate the predictive efficacy and clinical application value of the prediction model. DeLong test was used for statistical analysis. Results:The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that high level of CRP ( OR=1.030, 95% confidence interval (95% CI) 1.002 to 1.059), simplified CDAI ( OR=1.399, 95% CI 1.023 to 1.913), and MM-SES-CD ( OR=1.100, 95% CI 1.025 to 1.181) in baseline were independent risk factors of PNR in patients with CD treated with the anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody ( P=0.033, 0.036 and 0.008). The results of ROC analysis showed that the AUCs of CRP, simplified CDAI, MM-SES-CD, and the prediction model in the modeling group and the validation group were 0.697(95% CI 0.573 to 0.821), 0.772(95% CI 0.666 to 0.879), 0.819(95% CI 0.725 to 0.912), 0.869 (95% CI 0.786 to 0.951) and 0.856 (95% CI 0.756 to 0.955), respectively. The AUC of the prediction model in the modeling group was greater than those of CRP and simplified CDAI, and the differences were statistically significant ( Z=3.00 and 2.75, P=0.003 and 0.006), while compared with MM-SES-CD and the validation group, the differences were not statistically significant (both P>0.05). However, compared with MM-SES-CD, the NRI and IDI of the prediction model in the modeling group were 0.205(95% CI 0.002 to 0.409, P=0.048) and 0.098(95% CI 0.022 to 0.174, P=0.011), respectively, suggesting that the predictive ability of the prediction model was better than that of MM-SES-CD. The results of DCA indicated that the prediction model had significant clinical benefits in both the modeling group and the validation group. Conclusions:A prediction model was successfully constructed based on the independent risk factors for PNR in patients with CD treated with the anti-TNF-α monoclonal antibody. After verification, the prediction model has good prediction performance and significant clinical benefits.

Objective :
To study the effect of deep learning applied to the assisted diagnosis of radiolucent lesions and radiopaque lesions of the jaws in panoramic radiography and to reduce the missed diagnosis, with early screening to assist doctors to improve the diagnostic accuracy.
Methods:
This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the West China Stomatological Hospital of Sichuan University. The YOLO v8m-p2 neural network model was constructed with 443 panoramic images as a subject to read. The labeled images were divided into 354 training sets, 45 verification sets, and 44 test sets, which were used for model training, verification, and testing. Accuracy, recall, F-1 score, G score, and mAP50 were used to evaluate the detection performance of the model.
Results:
443 panoramic images covered the common benign lesions of the jaw, the number of radiolucent lesions of the jaw was 318, containing dentigerous cyst, odontogenic keratocyst, and ameloblastoma. The number of radiopaque lesions was 145, containing idiopathic osteosclerosis, odontoma, cementoma, and cemento-osseous dysplasia; the samples are well representative. The accuracy of the YOLO v8m-p2 neural network model in identifying jaw lesions was 0.887, and the recall, F-1 score, G score, and mAP50 were 0.860, 0.873, 0.873, and 0.863, respectively. The recall rates of dentigerous cyst, odontogenic keratocyst, and ameloblastoma were 0.833, 0.941, and 0.875, respectively.
Conclusion
YOLO v8m-p2 neural network model has good diagnostic performance in preliminary detection of radiolucent and radiopaque lesions of the jaws in panoramic radiography and multi-classification monitoring of radiolucent lesions of jaws, which can assist doctors to screen jaw diseases in panoramic radiography.

Background Prolonged awkward postures during occupational activities can lead to excessive musculoskeletal load on the wrist of workers and symptoms such as wrist pain or discomfort. Objective To survey the prevalence of wrist pain among workers in 10 key industries and analyze its correlation with wrist working postures. Methods By using stratified cluster sampling method, workers from 10 key industries, such as footwear manufacturing industry, shipbuilding manufacturing industry, and automobile manufacturing industry, were selected from seven regions in North China, East China, Central China, South China, Southwest China, Northwest China, and Northeast China. The demographic information, wrist working postures, pain in wrist of the workers were collected through a cross-sectional survey. Pearson χ2 test was used to compare prevalence by selected factors, trend χ2 test for between group comparison, and unconditional logistic regression models for the association of wrist working postures with wrist pain. Results There were 64052 workers enrolled in this survey, and 56286 provided valid questionnaires (the effective rate was 87.8%). According to the survey, the prevalence of wrist pain was 23.3% (13112/56286), and the industries with higher prevalences were footwear manufacturing (27.1%, 1927/7106), automobile manufacturing (24.9%, 5378/21560), and shipbuilding and related equipment manufacturing (24.4%, 850/3488) industries. Finger pinching (OR=2.09, 95%CI: 1.95-2.24), frequent wrist bending (OR=2.03, 95%CI: 1.92-2.15), fixed wrist bending (OR=1.77, 95%CI: 1.69-1.85), wrist on hard edge (OR=1.34, 95%CI: 1.28-1.40), and arms over shoulders (OR=1.11, 95%CI: 1.05-1.17) increased the risk of reporting wrist pain. Conclusion Awkward postures are related to wrist pain among workers in selected 10 key industries. The related factors are wrist on hard edge, frequent wrist bending, finger pinching, fixed wrist bending, and arms over shoulders.
