Immune system is the autologous defence system to resist disease.αβ TCR+ CD3+ CD4-CD8-NK1.1-double negative T cell is a special T lymphocyte which has been described in both humans and rodent models.In recent years,the prognosis has been made in the mechanisms by which DN Treg target antigen-specific T cells and tumor cells.DN Treg cells play an important role in immune regulation,immunosuppression,autoimmune and resistance to the host reaction,HIV infection and antitumor.The study mainly introduces the advance of DN Treg cells in immune treatment.

Objective To study the effect of enteral nutrition(EN) and total parenteral nutrition(TPN)on patients with severe acute pancreatitis by a Meta analysis.Method s Randomized controlled trials of EN in patients with severe acute pancreatitis were searched in Cochrane library,Pubmed database,CNKI database,CBM database.Data were searched by two statisticians.RevMan 5.0 was applied for statistical analysis.Results Nine randomized controlled trials were enrolled into this analysis.Meta-analysis indicated that the use of enteral nutrition decreased the incidence of infectious complications(RR was 0.37,95% CI[0.18,0.77]),pancreas infectious complications (RR was 0.44,95% CI [0.24,0.81],P ＜ 0.01),MODS (RR was 0.33,95% CI[0.19,0.56]),mortaily (RR was 0.45,95% CI [0.26,0.80]),surgical interventions (RR was 0.51,95% CI [0.36,0.71]).When starting within 48 h of admission,EN,in comparison with TPN,resulted in a statistically significant reduction in the risk of MODS,mortaily and infectious complications.Conclusion For patients with severe acute pancreatitis,early EN therapy is better than TPN.

Chronic inflammation is proved to play an important role in promoting carcinogenesis.Many factors in inflammatory microenvironment,such as inflammatory immune cells,pro-inflammatory cytokines,inflammatory mediators,and aberrantly activated transcription factors of pro-inflammatory pathway (NF-κB,STAT3),have been found to provide a microenvironment for lung neoplastic processes,and promote the lung carcinogenesis.On the other hand,many anti-inflammatory agents have been shown having inhibitory effects on lung tumorigenicity.With further understanding of the molecular links between inflammation and lung tumorigenesis,anti-inflammation would provide alternative strategies for prevention and therapy of lung cancer.

Objective To set up a method for determining the content of anthraquinone in Liuwei Nengxiaosan.Methods The chromatogram column was Eclipse XDB C18 (150 mm×4.6 mm, 5μm), the mobile phase composition was methanol-0.1% orthphosphoric acid (88∶12), the detection wavelength was at 254 nm, the column temperature was 30℃, the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. Results The linear range of aloe emodin, rhein, emodin, chrysophanol and physcion was 0.076-0.380μg (r=0.999 6), 0.068-0.340μg (r=0.999 8), 0.076-0.380μg (r=0.999 9), 0.070-0.349μg (r=0.999 9), 0.071-0.355μg (r=0.999 7), respectively. The average recovery rate respectively was 97.88% (RSD=0.72%), 97.52% (RSD=0.96%), 98.79% (RSD=0.95%), 97.77% (RSD=1.18%), 96.34% (RSD=2.00%).Conclusion The method is highly effective, quick and sensitive, suitable for quality control of Tibet traditional medicine Liuwei Nengxiaosan.

Many alimentary tumor patients are characterized by malnutrition resulting from various elements and disorders of metabolism.So it is necessary to combine together with parenteral nutrition(PN) and enteral nutrition(EN).It can improve the nutritional status and reduce morbidity and mortality in patients with alimentary tumors in perioperative period.

This study examined the effects of a recombinant adenovirus Ad-PTEN-EGFP on the proliferation of A549 cells, a human lung carcinoma cell line, in vitro and on the growth of the implanted tumors in the nude mice in vivo, explored the underlying mechanisms and evaluated the in vitro transfection efficiency of Ad-PTEN-EGFP into A549 cells. The expression of Ad-PTEN-EGFP in the A549 cells was determined. The proliferation and the apoptosis rates of the A549 cells with Ad-PTEN-EGFP transfection or not was detected by MTT and flow cytometry. Ad-PTEN-EGFP at different doses was injected intratumorally to the tumor-bearing mice induced by the A549 cells. Tumor sizes were measured on an alternate day. After all the mice were sacrificed, the implanted tumors were removed for routine histological examination, weight test, HE staining and immunohistochemical staining. The expressions of Bax, P16 and P53 in the tumor tissues and those of caspase-3, CD34 and VEGF in the mouse sera were detected. Tumor cell apoptosis was measured by TUNEL method. The results showed that the vitality of the A549 cells after transfection with Ad-PTEN-EGFP declined. The expression of green fluorescent protein was observed under fluorescent microscope. The transfection rate was in excess of 50%. The mRNA and protein expression of PTEN in the transfected cells was confirmed. The proliferation rate of the transfected cells was significantly decreased when compared with that of the non-transfected cells (P<0.05). The number of the apoptosis cells was increased in the transfected cells (P<0.05). The models of implanted tumors were successfully established by injection of the A549 cells in the flank of Balb/c nude mice. Administration of Ad-PTEN-EGFP to the tumor-bearing nude mice resulted in a suppression of tumor growth. There were statistically significant differences in the tumor weight and tumor volume between the Ad-PTEN-EGFP-treated group and the control groups (P<0.05). In contrast to those in the control groups, tumor tissues in the Ad-PTEN-EGFP-treated group were shown to have typical extensive vacuolar degeneration and massive hemorrhagic necrosis. Apoptotic bodies were also observed in the tumor cells. The expressions of Bax, caspase-3 and P16 were increased (P<0.05) while those of CD34, VEGF and P53 decreased (P<0.05) in the Ad-PTEN-EGFP-treated group. It is concluded that Ad-PTEN-EGFP could induce the apoptosis of the A549 cells and inhibit their proliferation. And it could also substantially suppress the tumor growth in the tumor-bearing nude mice and induce apoptosis of the tumor cells as well. These findings carry significant implications for adenovirus vector-based PTEN gene therapies for lung cancers.

AIM: To investigate the effects of low-dose theophylline on differentiation of the naive T lymphocyte. METHODS: Naive T lymphocytes and monocytes were isolated from cord blood in neonate. Theophylline (10 mg?L-1 ) was added in naive T lymphocytes and monocytes which stimulated by PHA (200 mg?L-1 ) for 3 days, and the differentiation of T cells was analyzed by flow cytometry. The correlation between the expression of COX-2 and p53 protein in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) of eyelid and apoptosis was investigated. Specimens of BCC were collected from 40 cases (aged 28-68 y) at the Department of Pathology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University, and Department of Pathology, Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University during from 1999 to 2006. Five specimens of paracancerous tissues served as control group. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to detect the expression of COX-2 and p53 in the tissues. The average absorbance (A) and the average positive area rate of COX-2 and p53 protein were measured by image analysis. The positive area rate of COX-2 and p53 protein was analyzed by linear correlation analysis. It was found that COX-2 and p53 proteins were highly expressed in BCC of eyelid, and weakly expressed in paracancerous tissues. Image analysis revealed that the expression of COX-2 and p53 proteins in BCC of eyelid was significantly higher than that in paracancerous tissues (P<0.01). Spearman rank correlation analysis demonstrated a positive correlation between the expression of COX-2 and p53 (r=0.113, P=0.421). It was concluded that COX-2 can increase the expression of p53 protein, therefore suppressing apoptosis.
