1.Expression of Snail in laryngeal carcinoma and its relationship with invasion and metastasis in subgroup laryngeal carcinoma cells

Objective To study the expression of Snail in laryngeal carcinoma and to explore its relationship with invasion and metastasis in subgroup laryngeal carcinoma cells. Method The expression of Snail protein was examined by immunohistochemistry staining in the tissue of laryngeal carcinoma. The statistical evaluation was performed to detect the correlation between the Snail protein expression and clinical features. In different subgroups of laryngeal carcinoma cells (CD 44+CD 133+cells, CD 44 and CD 133-cells), the expression of Snail and adhesion molecules E-cadherin were detected by RT-PCR,Western blot test and immunochemical staining which were studied in the correlation with invasion and metastasis. Results The result of immunohistochemical staining revealed that Snail was moderately or highly expressed in the tissue of laryngeal carcinoma significantly and higher than those in adjacent non-cancerous tissues(P<0.01). Expression of Snail was highly correlated with lymph node metastasis, tumor differentiation and clinical classification(P<0.05).However, it was not related to the age , gender and clinical type. RT-PCR and Western blot test results confirmed that the expression level of Snail was significantly higher in CD 44+CD 133+laryngeal cancer cells than in CD 44-and CD 133-laryngeal cancer cells, otherwise the expression level of E-cadherin in CD 44+CD 133+laryngeal cancer cells was significantly lower than in the CD 44-and CD 133-laryngeal cancer cells. Cell immunohistochemical staining confirmed the expression of Snail and E-cadherin were negatively correlated in CD 44+CD 133+laryngeal cancer cells. Conclusion Over expression of Snail in laryngeal carcinoma is closely related to the development of laryngeal cancer and lymph node metastasis. The expression of Snail in the CD 44+CD 133+laryngeal cancer cell subgroup is negatively correlated with adhesion molecules E-cadherin, which is a close correlation with invasion and metastasis of laryngeal cancer cells.
2.The curative effect analysis of balloon sinuplasty and the main points of its use.

OBJECTIVE:
The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of balloon sinuplasty, and to summarize the main points of its use.
METHOD:
Fifteeen patients (41 sinuses) were offered treatment with a new technique of balloon sinuplasty and followed for 3 to 6 months after surgery, including "balloon-only" patients and "hybrid" patients. Effectiveness was evaluated by endoscopic examination and computed tomographic (CT) scan. The effect of the operation was tested by the Lund-Mackay CT scores, and the patient's subjective symptoms were tested by the sino-nasal outcome test-20 (SNOT-20) to evaluate postoperative condition.
RESULT:
Fifteeen patients (41 sinuses) were followed after surgery, including 9 "balloon-only" patients and 6 "hybrid" patients. No unanticipated adverse effects were noted in any patients. Endoscopic examination showed the sinus ostium was opening well, and CT scan showed the lesions apparently disappeared. Lund-Mackay CT scores showed that all patients postoperative scores were significantly improved from baseline at 3 months and 6 months. SNOT-20 showed that all patients postoperative scores were significantly improved from baseline at 3 months and 6 months. There was no significant difference between the "balloon-only" patients and "hybrid" patients. Operation curative effect is very confirmed, and subjective symptoms improved significantly.
CONCLUSION
Balloon sinuplasty can not only open nasal sinus effectively, but also preserve normal tissue structure and mucous membrane of nasal cavity and nasal sinus. Balloon sinuplasty appears to be a safe, effective and minimally invasive treatment option to relieve sinus ostial obstruction. Patients who received balloon catheter sinusotomy in endoscopic sinus surgery had significant improvement after surgery. Balloon sinuplasty can also be combined with the endoscopic sinus surgery to achieve a better therapeutic effect. It is worth of clinical promotion and application.

3.The correlation study between FGFR2 gene polymorphisms and breast cancer in Qinghai Tibetan areas

Objective To explore the relationship between the fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGFR2) gene polymorphism (rs 2981582 ,rs 1219648 ,rs 2420946) and the breast cancer risk in Tibetan population ,Qinghai province .Methods This is a case con‐trol study .Peripheral blood samples from 210 breast cancer patients and 230 healthy women in Qinghai area were collected .DNA samples were extracted from peripheral blood cells .FGFR2 gene polymorphism (rs 2981582 ,rs 1219648 ,rs 2420946) were typed by Taqman‐MGB probe based on PCR and DNA sequencing ,then analyzed its correlation with breast cancer in Tibetan population , Qinghai province .Results The genotype frequencies of rs 2981582 CC ,CT and TT were 40 .48% ,39 .05% and 20 .47% among the breast cancer patients while 36 .09% ,48 .69% and 15 .22% among the controls .The genotype frequencies of rs 1219648 GG ,AG and AA were 24 .76% ,26 .19 % and 49 .05% among the patients while 23 .91% ,47 .39% and 28 .70% among the controls .The genotype frequencies of rs 2420946 CC ,CT and TT were 29 .05% ,45 .24% and 25 .71% among the patients while 30 .87% , 51 .74% and 17 .39% among the controls .The genotype frequencies of all genetic loci had no significant difference between rs 2981582 and rs 2420946 (P>0 .05) .But the genotype frequencies of rs 1219648 AA have statistical sense (P< 0 .05) ,compared with GG ,the incidence of breast cancer was remarkably increased with AA [OR=1 .65 ,95% CI= (1 .01 ,2 .69)] .Conclusion This study shows that FGFR2 rs1219648 AA is related to breast cancer risk among Tibetan population .
4.Progress in pathogenesis of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm infants

Patent ductus arteriosus is one of the common complications in the premature infants,which lead to or worsen respiratory distress,chronic pulmonary disease,intraventricular hemorrhage and necrotizing enterocolitis.It is associated with an increase in mortality and sequelae of preterm infants.The various factors contributing to an patency of the ductus arteriosus in the preterm infants are involved in:insufficient histological development of ductus arteriosus,failure of remodeling the ductus,abnormal sensitivity of the ductus to oxygen and vasoactive substances,and genes.It has been proposed a new idea that platelet induces or drives the closure of patent ductus arteriosus.
5.Neuronavigation combined with intraoperative ultrasound-assisted microsurgery for the treatment of supratentorial intracranial arteriovenous malformations

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of neuronavigation combined with intraoperative ultrasound-assisted microsurgery for the treatment of supratentorial intracranial arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). Methods From March 2014 to February 2017,14 patients with supratentorial intracranial AVMs treated with neuronavigation combined with intraoperative ultrasound-assisted microsurgery at the Department of Neurosurgery,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University were enrolled retrospectively.According to Spetzler-Martin (S-M)classification,there were 2 cases of grade Ⅰ,6 cases of grade Ⅱ,5 cases of grade Ⅲ,and 1 case of grade Ⅳ. The clinical data,surgical effects,and complications were analyzed. Results (1)The lesions of 13 patients were completely removed and 1 had residue. Four patients had preoperative limb hemiplegia and one had postoperative limb weakness. They were followed up for 1 to 4 years. The myodynamia was improved or returned to normal. (2)One patient had postoperative intracranial infection and was cured after anti-infective treatment. Of the 4 patients with preoperative epilepsy, 3 did not have postoperative recurrence and 1 was controlled. (3)The modified Rankin scale (mRS)scores at 3 months after operation were as follows:8 patients were 0,4 were 1,and 2 were 2. The clinical symptoms and imaging were followed up for 1-4 years,no vascular malformation recurrence and rebleeding were observed. Conclusion The preliminary observation showed that the neuronavigation and intraoperative ultrasound multimodality assisted microsurgical treatment of supratentorial AVMs had the characteristics of accurate location and high safety,and the clinical efficacy was satisfactory.
