1.Advances in the research of effects of music therapy on pain and anxiety in burn patients.
Chinese Journal of Burns 2015;31(3):183-185
Pain and anxiety engender major psychic problems during all phases of treatment for burn patients. Analgesic alone does not allay these problems satisfactorily in these patients. Music therapy, as an important complementary and alternative therapy, has been widely used in multiple medical fields. However, its positive effect on alleviation of pain and anxiety in burn patients is undefined. The objective of this review is to summarize the feasibility, application fields, methods, and the effectiveness of music therapy in allaying pain and anxiety of burn patients during the whole course of treatment.

2.STUDY ON THE INHIBITION EFFECT OF PROCYANIDINS ON PROLIFERATION OF HUMAN BREAST CANCER CELLS
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the effect of grape procyanidins (GPC) and the regulation of estrogen receptor(ER)on proliferation of human breast cancer(MCF-7)cells. Method MCF-7 cells were cultured with GPC,and divided into six groups: tumor control, high, middle and low dose GPC treated, estrogen antagonist ICI 182. 780 (ICI) control,ICI and GPC combined treated. The proliferation activity level of MCF-7 cells was determined by MTT assay, and the levels of the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and Bax protein were measured by immunohistochemistry method. Results Compared with tumor control group, the level of proliferation activity and the expression of PCNA were significantly decreased in high dose GPC group, while the expression of Bax protein was increased significantly. Compared with high dose GPC group, both the proliferation activity and the PCNA expression were increased, and Bax protein expression decreased significantly in ICI and GPC combined treated group. Conclusion GPC can inhibit the proliferation and induce the apoptosis of human breast cancer cells effectively, and its mechanism is closely related to the regulation of ER.

For the existing measurement methods of residual voltage which can't turn the power off at peak voltage exactly and simultaneously display waveforms, a new residual voltage detection method is put forward in this paper. First, the zero point of the power supply is detected with zero cross detection circuit and is inputted to a single-chip microcomputer in the form of pulse signal. Secend, when the zero point delays to the peak voltage, the single-chip microcomputer sends control signal to power off the relay. At last, the waveform of the residual voltage is displayed on a principal computer or oscilloscope. The experimental results show that the device designed in this paper can turn the power off at peak voltage and is able to accurately display the voltage waveform immediately after power off and the standard deviation of the residual voltage is less than 0.2 V at exactly one second and later.

This study examined the effects of ursolic acid (UA) on the proliferation and apoptosis of a human ovarian cancer cell line, CAOV3. The CAOV3 cells were cultured in the RPMI 1640 media and treated with different concentrations of UA (0, 10, 20, 40 mumol/L). The proliferation rate of the CAOV3 cells was determined by MTT assay. The apoptosis rate was measured by flow cytometry. ERK activity was detected by immunoprecipitation and the expressions of p-ERK1/2, MKP-1, Bax and Bcl-2 by Western blotting. The results showed that the proliferation rate was significantly decreased in the cells treated with UA as compared with that in the non-treated cells (P<0.05). The intracellular ERK activity and p-ERK1/2 expression were also reduced in the UA-treated cells, while the MKP-1 expression was elevated. Moreover, the apoptosis was found in the CAOV3 cells exposed to UA; the Bax expression was increased and the Bcl-2 expression decreased. The apoptosis rate in the UA-treated cells was much higher than that in the non-treated cells (P<0.05). It is concluded that UA can inhibit the proliferation of CAOV3 cells by suppressing the ERK activity and the expression of p-ERK1/2. And it can also induce the apoptosis of the CAOV3 cells by up-regulating the Bax expression and down-regulating the Bcl-2 expression.
