Objective This article aim to optimize facial characteristic indexes and to establish the standard of classiifcation by studying positive photos of Chinese Han nationality adults, and to investigate the personal identiifca-tion power ifnally. Methods Firstly, we determined the 27 facial characteristic indexes and standard of classiifcation. Secondly, we observed 254 positive photos of Chinese Han nationality adults. Finally, indexes and standard of classi-ifcation are evaluated through statistically analysising of observation data results and calculating personal identiifcation capability. Results Thirteen indexes gender differences are signiifcant. All 27 facial characteristic indexes are calculated. Male TDP(total discrimination power)=0.999 999 909 08, female TDP=0.999 999 919 82, overall TDP=0.999 999 868. Conclusion The more facial characteristic indexes and the more classiifcation and the higher degree of classiifcation, the higher personal identiifcation ability can be acquired.

Objective To discuss the effect of butylphthalide soft capsules in the treatment of type 2 diabetic patients with mild cog-nitive impairment.Methods Ninety cases of diagnosed type 2 diabetic with mild cognitive impairment were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group (n=45) and the control group (n=45) .Patients in both groups were treated with the traditional therapy, but those in the study treatment group were given butylphthalide soft capsules.MoCA and P300 were used as the effect judge standard after June.Results Compared with the control group, the MoCA score was increased in the treatment group(P<0.01), P300 latency was shorten and P300 amplitude was increased (P<0.05).Conclusion Butylphthalide capsules can improve cognitive function in patients with type 2 diabetes patients with mild cognitive impairment, and worthy of further clinical promotion and application.

Objective To investigate the protective effect of Fas ligand (FasL) gene transfer to renal allografts in rats. Methods FasL recombinant adenovirus vector was contruccted and transduced into rat renal allografts by renal artery perfusion. Objective To investigate the regulation of parathyroid hormone(1-34) on mRNA expression of osteoclast inhibitory lectin (OCIL) gene in UMR106 osteoblastic-like cells and involved signaling pathway.Methods Rat UMR106 osteoblastic-like cells were cultured and treated with various concentration of PTH(1-34) and specific agonists or inhibitors of PKA,PKC,Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase (CaMK) and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signal pathways for indicated time intervals.Then the cells were gathered at indicated time points and total RNA were extracted.OCIL mRNA expression was analyzed using real-time PCR technique.Results PTH(1-34) stimulated OCIL mRNA expression in a time-and dose-dependentmanner.A dose of 10 nmol/L PTH(1-34) started to induce OCIL mRNA from 6 h,with a highest increase of about 2.8-fold vs.control group (without PTH treatment) at 24 h.The up-regulation of OCIL mRNA began and reached maximum later than RANKL induction and OPG suppression effected by PTH(1-34).Protein Kinase A (PKA) signaling activators forskolin(FSK) and dibutyryl cAMP (db-cAMP),as well as calcium ionophore A23187 all up-regulated OCIL mRNA with the maximal induction of about 4.2-fold,4.5-fold and 5.1-fold.Protein Kinase C (PKC) activator phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate(PMA) reduced OCIL mRNA expression at the early stage(2-6 h),with the highest down-regulation of 50％ at 6 h.However,the inhibitory effect on OCIL mRNA turned into slightly stimulatory effect later (24 h).PKA inhibitor KT5720,calmodulin antagonist W-7,CaMK Ⅱ inhibitor KN-62 and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) inhibitor PD98059 all blocked PTH(1-34)-induced OCIL mRNA expression by the maximal reduction of 56％,61％,63％ and 50％ respectively.There also exist cross-talks between different signal pathways.MAPK inhibitor PD98059 blocked the expression of OCIL mRNA which was stimulated by PKA activators FSK or db-cAMP,with the reduction of 98％ and 63％ respectively,while the OCIL mRNA expression stimulated by A23187 remained unaffected.Conclusion PTH(1-34) increased OCIL mRNA expression in vitro through cAMP/PKA,Ca2+/CaMK and MAPK signaling pathways.

Methods Forty female rats were randomly allocated into 4 groups, 10 in each: ovariectomized (OVX) group, sham operation group, OVX followed by epimedium (group 3)or nilestriol (group 4) for 3 months respectively. Objective This article aims to investigate the effect of gender determination for measuring the 12th Thoracic Vertebra by using computed tomography (CT) and explore the feasibility for the research of human skeleton measuring by CT technique in the ifeld of forensic anthropology.Methods After ascertaining 11 radial line indicators,we measured Multi-planner Reformation (MPR)image of the 12th Thoracic Vertebra. Four ratio indicators were calculated after eliminating measurement uncertainty of results. We inspected the effect of gender determination for measuring the 12th Thoracic Vertebra by using computed tomography (CT) on account of statistical measurement data.Results Gender determination of 12 indicators is remarkable after eliminating 3 unstable indicators. Sevene quations were established. The equation established by centrum indicators predicted sex up to 91.6% accuracy.Conclusion The morphometry indicators of 12th Thoracic Vertebra have gender difference. CT technology can accurately measure skeleton and is valuale for study of human skeleton measuring research in the ifeld of forensic anthropology.

Objective To investigate the change of quality of life and urodynamics after the enterocystoplasty combined with clean intermittent self-catheterisation (CISC) in nonparalytic spinal cord dysfunction (NSCD) patients with neurogenic underactive bladder by the Medical Outcomes study 36-item short-form general health survey (SF-36). Methods The quality of life of 72 NSCD patients with NUB were measured by SF-36 questionnaire, who had been taken enterocystoplasty combined with CISC or only CISC according to urodynamic results. In total, 58(81% ) patients were successfully followed for one year by SF-36 questionnaire and urodynamic examination, including 30 men (mean age 27±5 year) and 28 women (mean age 26±4 year). The normal volunteers without lower urinary tract symptom were set as control group, including 20 men (mean age 28 ± 4 year) and 20 women (mean age 29±4 year). Results At the follow-up, physical role, vitality and social function of men and women were 55±14 and 45±15, 76±19 and 74±15, 52±19 and 59±13 respectively, significantly higher than those before the treatment (35 ± 10 and 32 ±11, 27 ± 18 and 33 ± 17, 40 ±12 and 34 ±15). The bladder compliance and maximum cystometric capacity were (320 ± 44 ) ml and ( 338 ±50)ml,(55±15)cm H2O and (60±17)cm H2O respectively, also significantly higher than those before the treatment (131±30ml and 140±35ml,5±3 cm H2O and 6±4 cm H2O). However, detrusor leakage point pressures were (6±2)cm H2O and (6±3)cm H2O respectively, significantly lower than those before the treatment (28 ±9 cm H2 O and 25 ± 6 cm H2O). Except for physical function and bodily pain, the all domains of quality of life in both men and women patients were significantly lower than those in control group. Only 17 % of men and 7 % of women believed "their health is better than that one year ago". There was no significant difference in the remission rate between men and women (89% vs 76%) in the patients with RUUTD before treatment. Conclusions It is suggested that urodynamic parameters are significantly improved. Many domains of quality of life were not improved and the reduced quality of life still occurred in NSCD patients with NUB using enterocystoplasty and CISC.

Expression of cytokeratin19(CK19)mRNA was detected by reverse transcription-PCR in bone marrow and integrin α_vβ_3 was detected by immunohistochemistry(IHC streptavidin-biotinperoxidase SP)in breast tissue from 62 breast cancer patients with negative axillary lymph nodes.Out of 62 patients 15cases(24%)presented positive CK19,in which all had positive integrin α_vβ_3;36 cases(58%)presented positive integrinα_vβ_3.Two markers were positively correlated with each other(kappa=0.6839,P＜0.05),and correlated with the size of tumor(P＜0.01).The results indicate that combined detection of CK19 in bone marrow and integrin α_vβ_3 in cancer tissues may be helpful for guiding therapy and estimating prognosis in breast cancer patients with negative axillary lymph nodes.
