Medical curriculum integration mode is the development trend of medical education re-form. The Institute of Basic Science of Guangzhou Medical University has given full consideration to the present situation at home and abroad and its own conditions, modularized the traditional basic medicine ex-periment course according to the similar content, and formed medical human morphology (human anatomy and tissue embryology, pathology), immune and pathogenic biology (microorganisms, parasites, immunology), biological science (cell biology, genetics, biological sciences) three modules, and then gradually established and perfected a scientific and effective comprehensive morphology experiment teaching material, teaching method, examination and evaluation system based on the teaching content of integration. The establishment of this new basic medical morphology course system, which is based on the organs and systems, shows the less content redundancy, good structural and overall coordination of the new curriculum, so as to play its comprehensive advantages and conform to the trend of the development of the medical education.

Objective To investigate the effect of somatic sense interactive game Kinect on executive dysfunction for patients with stroke. Methods 78 inpatients with first stroke were divided into intervention group and control group, and 35 cases in the intervention group and 36 cases in the control group finished the study. The control group accepted conventional rehabilitation, and the intervention group played the game of Sailing for Gold Coins and Golf of the Kinect in addition. They were assessed with Behavioral Assessment of Dysexecutive Syndrome (BADS) before and 4 weeks after intervention. Results The difference of scores of all the sub-scales and total of BADS before and after intervention were more in the intervention group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The somatic sense interactive game Kinect can be used to improve the executive function of the patients with stroke.

Objective To evaluate the influence of social medical insurance treatment policy for specific chronic diseases on medication compliance in patients with primary hypertension in Guangzhou. Methods Questionnaire investigation was adopted to evaluate 219 patients with primary hy-pertension about medication compliance and relevant factors. Results Statistical analysis showed that the patients who enjoyed the policy were better than before in the medication compliance, the treatment satis-faction, the situation of discussing treatment projects with doctors. Conclusions "Treatment policy" facilitates improvement of medication compliance in padents with primary hypertension.

This research is to construct a basic medical sciences’experimental teaching system in order to cultivate innovative talents. It is guided by cultivating innovative practical ability and post compe-tence and implements a teaching mode with “five combinations”by integrating teaching resources, strength-ening interdisciplinary combination , integrating curriculum and organ systems , and optimizing teaching modules and experiment content. A preliminary personnel training mode and experimental teaching system have been constructed for innovative talent cultivation, and correspondently a diversified experiment exami-nation system and teaching quality monitoring system have been constructed through teaching practice, which aims at continuously improving experiment teaching quality and talent training quality.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of hypothermic perfusion via renal artery balloon catheter before laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. Methods A total of 35 patients, who were arranged to receive laparoscopic partial nephrectomy during the period from March 2013 to December 2016 at the General Hospital of PLA,China, were enrolled in this study. The tumor was located in the left kidney in 22 patients and in the right kidney in 13 patients. The long diameter of the tumors was 2.3-7.0 cm,with a mean of (4.1±1.2) cm.Before laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, the implantation of renal artery balloon catheter was performed in all patients. The intraoperative renal cold-ischemia time, the time spent for operation and the amount of intraoperative blood loss were recorded. The creatinine clearance rate (Ccr) and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) were determined before operation as well as at one,3 and 7 days after operation. The intraoperative and postoperative complications were analyzed. Results Successful implantation of renal artery balloon catheter was accomplished in all 35 patients, with the technical success rate being 100%.Slipping of balloon catheter before laparoscopic partial nephrectomy occurred in one patient;in 2 patients incomplete occlusion of renal artery was found during operation and artery forceps had to be used to occlude the renal artery. In the other 32 patients, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy under the condition of hypothermic perfusion via renal artery balloon catheter was successfully carried out.No severe complications occurred during and after the operation. The average cold-ischemia time of the diseased kidney was 45 (20-125) min,the mean time for interventional procedure was 28 (20-40) min,the average surgery time was 147(95-235) min,the average amount of intraoperative blood loss was 180(50-1000) ml.The Ccr values determined before and at one,3,7 days after nephrectomy were (96.5±15.1),(75.2±10.5),(54.3±13.8) and (91.8±14.1) ml/min respectively. The eGFR values determined before and at one,3,7 days after nephrectomy were (99.5±15.3),(70.3±12.5),(65.5±11.7) and (96.8±12.3) ml·min-1·m-2 respectively.Statistical analysis indicated that in both groups the preoperative and 7-day postoperative Ccr values and eGFR values were significantly different from their one-day and 3-day postoperative values (P<0.01),but no statistically significant differences existed between preoperative values and 7-day postoperative ones (P>0.05).Conclusion Hypothermic perfusion via renal artery balloon catheter before laparoscopic partial nephrectomy is clinically safe and feasible,it can prolong the safe time of renal ischemia and protect renal function.

Objective To elucidate the clinical characteristics and prognosis of non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS)patients with metabolic syndrome. Methods SUNDAY(The Strategies for UA/NSTEMI and Delay of AngioplastY Registry)study was a retrospective registry of 1 013 patients with unstable angina or NSTEMI from Jan 2000 through Dec 2002. In this analysis , we compared the clinical features and prognosis with patients with or without metabolic syndrome and studied the relation between the number of markers-the MS score and prognosis. Results There were 743 patients with complete data and 343 patients(46.2%)satisfied the definition of Chinese metabolic syndrome .The latter were younger [(59.66?9.67)age vs. (61.11?10.37)age,P=0.052], with higher BMI ,SBP, DBP, blood glucose and disordered blood-lipid(P0.05) and coronary angiographic alterations(left main artery and trivessel) (P=0.006). Conclusion There were prevenlence in NSTE-ACS patients with metabolize syndrome and the later were younger .As the MS score increased so did obesity, dyslipidemia ,blood pressure, fasting glucose. Similarly, an increasing MS score was significantly related to more severe coronary angiographic alterations and cardiac events.

Objective To analyze the relationship between general gelf-efficacy and life-long learn-ing orientation in medical students of a university for providing scientific evidence for the improvement of their life-long learning orientation. Methods In March 2015, all the fifth grade medical students, altogether 822, were invited to participate in the survey and 748 questionnaires were collected effectively. The instru-ments employed were General Self-efficacy Scale (GSES) and Jefferson Scale of Physician Life-Long Learning Student Version in Chinese (JSPLL-S). The relationship was analyzed by using multiple linear regression. Results The general self-efficacy and life-long learning orientation in medical students had significantly positive correlation (β=0.53,P=0.00). Furthermore the general self-efficacy was significantly correlated with each sub-domain of life-long learning orientation, specifically attention to learning opportunity (β=0.53,P=0.00), technical skills in information seeking (β=0.47,P=0.00) and learning beliefs and motivation (β=0.31, P=0.00) respectively. The results also indicated that the magnitude and significance of these corre-lations were independent from the individual characteristics. Conclusion Medical students' general self-efficacy greatly affects their life-long learning orientation. Thus, the strategy aiming at improving students' general self-efficacy could be affective for the development of life-long learning orientation.
