From 1965 to 1986, 36 patients with Wilms' tumor were terated by nephrectomy, postoperative irradiation and chemotherapy. The radiation doses of 1540~3920cGy were given according to an age-medulated dose scheme. All except 4 Stage I received chemotherapy. The most commonly used chemotherapeutic agent was Act-D, VCR. The overall 5-year survival rate was 61.1%(22/36) and 10-year survival rate was 56%(14/25). The 5- and 10-year survival rates were 87.5% and 80% for Stage I, 63.2% and 61.5% for stage II,33.3% and 28.6% for stage III patents. The favorable factors which led to better results were: early stages(stages I,II) and aged under 5 years . The 5-year survival rates of Stages I,II and Stage III were 70.4%(19/27) and 33.3%(3/9), respectively(P

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2010;09(8):557-559
Twenty two patients with outlet obstructive constipation (OOC) underwent pelvic fourcontrast defecography preoperatively and postoperatively. Functional outcome and the findings on defecography were analyzed. The inconsistent signs between preoperative and postoperative defecography findings were shown in all patients. Some new abnormal findings, including 5 cases with pelvic floor hernia, 4 with cystocele, 4 with vagina prolapse, 3 with uterine prolapse,2 with rectal prolapsed and 1 with spastic pelvic floor syndrome were present in 5 patients with ineffective surgical treatment and 9 patients with effective surgical treatment. Reduced abnormal signs were showed in the 9 effective patients, but other new abnormalities appeared. The abnormal signs were reduced or disappeared in 8 obviously effective patients and there were no new abnormalities present in those patients. Results indicate that pelvic four-contrast defecography can provide valuable information for patients with OOC postoperatively.

AIM: To evaluate the antihistamine effects of domestic azelastine hydrochloride. METHODS: Histamine increased skin vascular permeability and induced shock model in guinea pigs. In isolated guinea pig ileal rings, the contraction of smooth muscle induced by histamine was determined. RESULTS: Pretreament with azelastine hydrochloride( 0.05, 0.15,and 0.45 mg?kg -1,ig) significantly inhibited the increase in skin vascular permeability induced by histamine in a dose-dependent manner in guinea pigs. Pretreament with azelastine hydrochloride( 0.05, 0.1,and 0.2 mg?kg -1,ig)produced a significant improvement of shock, as shown by a decrease in reactivity degree, mortality and a prolongation of latency. In isolated guinea pig ileal rings, azelastine hydrochloride (10 -8,3?10 -8,10 -7,3? 10 -7 mol?L -1)significantly inhibited contraction of smooth muscle induced by histamine in a concentration-dependent manner and caused a parallel right shift of the dose-effect curve of histamine (pA 2= 8.55). CONCLUSION: Domestic azelastine hydrochloride shows significant the antihistamine effects.

Objective To explore DSA findings curative measures and effects of bronchial arterial embolization(BAE)of bronchiectasis with massive hemoptysis. Methods 35 patients with massive hemoptysis due to bronchiectasis were performed selective bronchial arterial DSA and BAE referring to image data of chest plain film and CT. Embolic materials were polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and/or gelatinum sponge particles. Curative effects were followed-up for 3 months to 3 years. Results ①DSA revealed bronchial artery as being the only abnormal vessel accounted for 74.3%,bronchial artry combined with nonbronchial systemic artery as 22.9% and only non-bronchial artery involved 2.9%. Abnormal vessel number was 1 -5(mean 1.8) per case. Direct and indirect bleeding sign was displayed as 25.7% and 100% respectively. ②Curative and embolization effects were shown as 61 target vessels of 34 patients being embolized and total effective rate reaching 85.3%; of which 16 cases were adopted super-selective technique,1 case was failure of stopping bleeding for two times within 3 days,4 cases recurred within 3 months and 2 cases recurred over 3 months; with recurrent rate of 20.6%,but no serious complications such as spinal cord injury. Conclusions DSA examination and selective BAE of bronchiectasis with massive hemoptysis could provide high positive angiographic features and reliable curative effect.

We describe the prenatal diagnosis and postnatal follow-up of a fetus with a pericallosal lipoma diagnosed by MRI. The pregnant woman was admitted to Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University in February 2019. MRI examinations with multiple sequences and imaging methods were performed prenatally at 31 +6 and 38 +3 weeks of gestation, and at two days and three months postnatally. The MRI images showed that the corpus callosum was normal and the lesion was located around the corpus callosum, with high signal intensity on T1 weighted imaging, medium-to-high signal intensity on T2 weighted imaging, and low signal intensity on fat suppression sequence. No abnormal blood vessels were found on susceptibility-weighted imaging and time-of-flight magnetic resonance angiography sequences. Based on the prenatal and postnatal MRI findings, the tumor was clinically diagnosed as a pericallosal lipoma.
