Objective:To investigate whether knee osteoarthritis has an impact on the patient′s depression and whether it′s progression will affect the patient′s depression, and to provide a reference for clinical work. Methods:Patients diagnosed with osteoarthritis in Dalian Central Hospital from 2016 to 2019 were divided into 4 groups according to Kellgren-Lawrence staging, and the patients were scored on WOMAC scale, AKSS clinical scale, and AKSS. The score of the scale and the score of the HAMD scale were collected and statistically analyzed using SPSS 17.0.Results:χ2 test was used to show that there was no difference in the gender composition of patients in different stages ( P<0.05). The AKSS clinical scale score, AKSS functional scale score, WOMAC scale score and HAMD scale score were statistically analyzed for each stage. The results showed that the average AKSS clinical scores of patients in each stage were as follows: stage Ⅰ: (90.01 ± 8.41) points; stage Ⅱ: (79.98 ± 10.93) points; stage Ⅲ: (71.78 ± 13.64) points; stage Ⅳ: (54.18 ± 12.58) points. The AKSS functional scores were as follows, stage Ⅰ: 100 points; stage Ⅱ: 80 points; stage Ⅲ: 70 points; stage Ⅳ: 45 points; the average WOMAC scale scores of patients in each stage were as follows, stage Ⅰ: (28.69 ± 19.22) points ; stage Ⅱ: (49.43 ± 22.69) points; stage Ⅲ (70.13 ± 24.84) points; stage Ⅳ: (107.79 ± 24.39) points. The average HAMD scale scores of patients in each stage were as follows, stage Ⅰ: (4.89 ± 3.42) points; stage Ⅱ: (7.65 ± 4.20) points; Stage Ⅲ: (9.05 ± 5.03) points; stage Ⅳ: (12.35 ± 5.41) points. The analysis showed that there were significant statistical differences in the scale scores between each period ( P<0.05). There was a correlation between the patient′s depression status and the patient′s age, pain, and joint function, and there were statistical differences ( P<0.05). Conclusions:There is a significant correlation between depression and pain and function in patients with knee osteoarthritis. The progress of the osteoarthritis course will aggravate the patient′s depression state. Conversely, the patient′s depression state can also aggravate the symptoms of osteoarthritis patients and affect the clinical efficacy of the patients.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2021;42(12):1879-1882
Objective:
To analyze the correlation between physical activity and physical fitness index of children and adolescents in China, so as to provide reference for physical activity and physical fitness promtion of children and adolescents.
Methods:
In September 12,2018, 4 269 students were selected by cluster sampling in east, northwest, north, central, southwest and South China, the test of standing long jump, grip strength, 50 m running, improved seat forward bend, 30 s sit ups, 20 s cross repeatedly, 20 m round trip running was completed.
Results:
In comparing the physical fitness index of children and adolescents with different levels of physical activity, the PFI values of the middle and high intensity physical activity (MVPA) groups of boys aged 10-12 and 16-18 years old were (0.46±3.58) (0.75±3.0), the value of PFI of the MVPA group were (-0.69±3.64) (-0.61±2.87), the difference was statistically significant ( t =0.04, 0.57, P >0.05). There was no significant difference in the values of PFI between the four age groups of the girls ( P <0.05). In comparison of physical activity status of children and adolescents in different physical ability grades, the time of MPA, VPA and physical exercise in healthy physical ability group was higher than that in unhealthy physical ability group ( Z =-2.04, -4.93, -7.09, P <0.05). Linear regression analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between daily MVPA, physical exercise and physical fitness index ( P <0.05).
Conclusion
Moderate and high intensity physical activity, that is, physical exercise, is positively correlated with physical fitness index. Therefore, it is particularly important for children and adolescents to engage in sufficient moderate and vigorous intensity physical activities.

5.Correlation between physical activity and depressive symptoms in adolescents
Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(5):672-676
Objective:
To analyze the correlation between physical activity and depressive symptoms in adolescents, so as to provide a reference for the early prevention of depression among adolescents.
Methods:
Using a random cluster sampling method, 8 102 adolescents from Shanghai, Urumqi, Changsha and Kunming were investigated via the Physical Activity Assessment Questionnaire of Chinese Children and Adolescents aged 7 to 18 and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) for physical activity and depressive symptoms. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the correlation between physical activity and depressive symptoms in adolescents.
Results:
The proportion of adolescents who met moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) standard was 37.0%, and the detection rate of depressive symptoms was 25.6%. The detection rate of depressive symptomsin compliant with MVPA standard group was significantly lower than that in non compliant group among different age and gender( χ 2=7.62-34.54, P <0.05). Adolescents with severe depressive symptoms had high light intensity physical activity(LPA) duration and low vigorous intensity physical activity(VPA) duration, while adolescents with mild depressive symptoms or asymptomatic adolescents had higher MVPA duration. There were differences in LPA and VPA among adolescents with different levels of depressive symptoms in the overall sample, and the differences were still significant among girls, middle school and statistically significant differences in LPA, moderate intensity physical activity(MPA), MVPA were also found among the high school subgroup. However, differences only in LPA were observed among boys with different levels of depression( H=46.48, 10.31, 25.02, 29.54, 30.25, 19.80, 22.20, 9.54, 8.62, 18.06, P <0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression model showed that gender and duration of MVPA were significantly related to risk of depressive symptoms( OR=1.56, 1.42, P <0.05).
Conclusion
Physical activity among adolescents is significantly related to depressive symptoms. MVPA may be an effective measure to reduce the degree of depressive symptoms. To improve the physical health and prevent depression among adolescents, it is important to choose appropriate physical activity types and effectively increase the duration of MVPA.
6.Research progress on influencing factors of depressive symptoms in adolescents
Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(5):786-790
Abstract
In recent years, mental health problems such as anxiety and depression among adolescents in China have attracted attention from all walks of life. Given that adolescence is a transitional and critical period for individual development, mental health affect the developmental opportunities. Therefore, in the review, the effects of environment, psychosocial factors and behavioral patterns on depressive symptoms are analyzed by combining with the characteristics of physical and mental development among adolescents. It is found that early adolescence and even childhood should be the key period for the prevention and intervention of depression. In order to formulate effective interventions and prevention strategies, it is proposed that future research should combine real situation in China with active exploration of protective factors and early predictors of depression.
