Journal of Kunming Medical University 2014;(2):41-43
Objective To analyze and compare the incidence of diarrhea between cerebral hemorrhage and infarction. Method We observed and compared the time when diarrhea occurred in both 147 cases of cerebral hemorrhage patients and 142 cases of cerebral infarction patients by using statistical methods. Result The incidence of diarrhea in former group was 36.05%, and that of latter was 16.91%. Conclusions The incidence in patients with diarrhea of cerebral hemorrhage was markedly higher than that of patients with cerebral infarction. This may attribute to the higher intracranial pressure in cerebral hemorrhage patients than that of cerebral infarction ones. The complications of reduction of immune function, intestinal infection and hypoproteinemia may be the other factors resulting in the higher incidence of diarrhea in cerebral hemorrhage patients than that of cerebral infarction ones.

Objective To analyze the pathogenic characteristics of Chlamydia,Mycoplsma,Neisseria gonorrhoeae,Trichomonas,Candida and Herpes simplex virus in patients with urogenital infections and study the relevant influential factors. Methods Genital secretions of the patients who were suspicious of non gonococcal urethritis(NGU)were collected as samples to detect and cultivated Chlamydia trachomatis(Ct),Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu),Mhominis(Mh),Neisseria gonorrhoeae(Ng),Candida(Cd),Trichomonies and the type 2 Herpes virus. At the same time, surveys with structured questionnaire were conducted. Results In the 977 detected patients, the rate of positive expression of Ct was 33.67%(329/977),Uu-16.1%(156/977),Mh-7.36%(72/977),N-2.56%(25/977),Cd-4.7%(46/977),Tv-2.87%(28/977),and HBS-2-0.72%(7/977).The rate of co-infections of two or more pathogens(mainly between Ct,Uu,Ng ang Cd)was 10.03(98/977).About 25.85% of the patients in the positive Ct and Uu group were infected without symptom.90% of NGU patients were sex active, aged 18~49 years and most of infections occurred in age group of 30~39 years.Positive rate of Ct,Uu and Cd was higher in females than in males. The infection rate due to ex-marital sexual contact was 65.30% among all the NGU patients.Conclusions(1)The Ct,Uu,Ng and Cd have a higher positive detection rate in the NGU patients in the STD clinic.(2)Co-infection with two or more pathogens are common in the NGU patients.(3)We should pay more attention to the patients with no symptoms.(4)Epidemics and transmission of NGU is largely related with a number of risk factors.

Objective To provide a new way for treatment of full thickness skin defects by embryonic stem(ES) cell-derived epidermal-like stem cells. Methods Epidermal like stem cells, labeled by Hoechst 33342 and carried by a layer of biomembrane, were transplanted into the defective skin of mice. The differentiation tissue of donor cells was sampled each week. The sections were observed with HE staining, immunohistochemical and di-labeled immunofluorescence methods to test the expression of ?1 integrin,CK15,CK19,CK10,CEA. Results The full thickness skin defects were healed in 2 weeks. The newborn skin was thicker than the normal skin. The basal layer cells proliferated. There were more bulky cellular poles towards dermis. The cells labeled by Hoechst 33342,located in the newborn epidermis and tubular or follicular structures in dermis, expressed ?1 integrin and CK15 positive respectively in the first 3 weeks. There were sweat gland-like,sebaceous gland-like and hair follicle-like structures in the newborn dermis after 4 weeks.Basal cells of keratinized stratified squamous epithelium expressed CK19 and CK10 positive respectively and sweat gland-like structure expressed CEA positive. Conclusion ES cell-derived epidermal stem cells can restore mice full thickness skin defects. There are epidermis, sweat gland-like,sebaceous gland-like and hair follicle-like structures in the newborn skin.

Chinese Journal of Forensic Medicine 1986;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the indicators for identifying diffuse axonal injury by blunt forces in forensic pathological practice. Methods The DAI model was produced by the fluid - percussion method in cats. The cerebral samples were stained by H. E. , Bodian, Kluver - Barrera stain and NF Immunohistochemistry. Changes of axons and myeline sheath were observed at different intervals after injury. Positive NF immunostained area in axons was measured, and the data was analyzed by SPSS 11.5 for windows. Results Changes of axons in subcortical white matter and brainstem were observed in the forms of swollen, waved and distorted axons in early stage after injury (1-2 hours). Markedly torn, vacuolated axons with formation of the retraction balls from 4 hours after injury were specifically demonstrated in NF immunohistochemistry (P

Objective To study the protective effect and molecular mechanism of trypsin inhibitor on reperfusion injury after cerebral ischemia. Methods The model of ischemia for 1h and repufusion for 24h of rat cerebrum was set by ligating MCAO described by zea-longa. 24 male rats were divided randomly into the sham operation group, the control group and trypsin inhibitor group. The presence of neurological function deficit was measured by Zea-Longa method, and the immunohistochemical staining and TUNEL were used to detect p53 protein expression and cell apoptosis in the brain tissues respectively. Results The score of neurological function deficit was zero in the sham operation group, 2 8?1 0 in the control group and 1 3?0 7 in trypsin inhibitor group. There were 12 3?2 5 p53 immunostaining positive cells in the control group and 5 5?1 3 in trypsin inhibitor group. The number of apoptotic cells was zero in the sham operation group, 7 6?1 0 in the control group, and 3 5?0 9 in trypsin inhibitor group. There was a significant difference in all above observing indices between the control group and trypsin inhibitor group(P

Field practice teaching is an important part in pharmaceutical botany. According to the problems in the traditional field practice, an innovative system of field practice teaching was built. A series of reform and innovation was integrating and rationally allocating the existing resources. Combining the tra-ditional cognitive practice teaching and self-study, image-text card of medicinal plant was edited to enrich the teaching content, and the diversification of evaluation methods was proposed. This method could mobi-lize the enthusiasm of the students, improve the comprehensive quality of students and obtain good teaching effect.

The present study investigated different types of eoexpression of brain derived neumtmphic factor(BDNF),nerve growth factor(NGF)and neutmphin-3(NT-3)mRNA and/or proteins in the left sixth lumbar dorsal root ganglion(DRG)of cats and discuss themechanism of coexpression in order to provide foundation for elucidating the relationship between the expression of neurotrophic factors andspinal cord plasticity. The eats used in this study were normal animals without any interventional treatment. They were subjected to renloveof the left L6 DRG and their DRG were processed for immunohistechemistry and in situ hybridization double staining to observe whetherthere are coexpression of mRNA and proteins of BDNF,NGF and NT-3.The results showed that the pmteios and mRNA of BDNF,NGFand NT-3 were all expressed in the DRG of cats, but the types of coexpression of mRNA and proteins were different and diverse amongthese three neumtrophic factors. The results of immunohiatochemistry showed that BDNF immunoreactivities were mainly observed in thecytoplasm and nucleus, and the staining of nucleus was weaker than that of cytoplasm;NGF immunoreactivities were mainly observed innucleus while NT-3 mainly in cytoplasm. The results of in situ hybridization showed that BDNF and NGF positive signals mostly distributedin the cytoplasm,NT-3 positive signals were observed in both the cytoplasm and nucleus. Our results suggest that the proteins and mRNAof BDNF,NGF and NT-3 have different types of coexpression which indicate they may have autocrine and/or paracrine mechanism contrib-uting to the plasticity of spinal cord in the left L6 DRG of cats.
