Interventional management was performed in 10 patients with hemorrhage following hepatic biliary and pancreatic surgery. The super-selection arterial embolization was performed in 9 patients using gelfoam pledgets (n =6 ) or metal coils (n =3 ),the procedure was combined with local infusion of reptilase; 1 case was managed by local infusion of reptilase alone.Selective angiography revealed the pseudoaneurysm in 3 cases, contrast media extravasation in 6 cases; in 1 case no obvious bleeding site was found The interventional treatment was successful and hemorrhage stopped in all patients, including one case with reptilase alone with a successful rate of 10/10.The results indicate that interventional treatment is a safe and effective method for hemorrhage following hepatic biliary and pancreatic surgery.

Objective To investigate the effect of paeonol antagonizing peroxynitrite(ONOO~-) on osteoblast apoptosis of rat in vitro. Methods Osteoblasts of newly born rat's skull were separated and cultured by tissue mass method.ONOO~-was produced by chemical synthesis with a quenched flow reactor.ONOO~-at 1 mmol/L concentration was added to cultured osteoblast system in vitro. After incubated for 30 min, osteoblasts were continued to be cultured for 12 h with routine method.Hoechst33258 stain and TUNEL method were used to detect the osteoblast apoptosis and 0.1 mmol/L concentration of paeonol was used to eliminate the effect of ONOO~-(1 mmol/L) on osteoblast apoptosis of rat. Results ONOO~-(1 mmol/L) could lead to rat osteoblast apoptosis.Paeonol of 0.1 mmol/L concentration could antagonize rat osteoblast apoptosis induced by ONOO~-(1 mmol/L).Conclusion Paeonol(0.1 mmol/L) has the significant antagonizing effect on ONOO~-of rat osteoblast apoptosis in vitro.

Aim To explore the pharmacological mechanism and the effects of polysaccharide sulfat(PSS) on cardiovascular diseases induced by type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM) through observing the risk factors. Methods Type 2 diabetic animal model was established by high-sugar and high-fat diets, combined with injection of small amount streptozotocin(STZ 20 mg?kg-1,iv).Adult male wistar rats were divided into five groups: normal control group, model group, polysaccharide sulfate group, metformin group and lovastatin group. They were treated with exact medicne for 8 weeks, but control group and model group were treated with 0.9% Nacl.During this process,FBG and serum lipid concentrations were measured.22 weeks later, the rats were sacrificed. The activity of tissue-type plasminogen activator(t-PA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor type-1(PAI-1) were detected by chemical methods. The aortas were collected for histopathlogical, immunohistochemical and Western blot studies. Results FBG concentrations and serum lipid(TC,TG,LDL) levels decreased in PSS group as compared from those of model group(P

OBJECTIVETo study the effect of retinoid kappa receptor alpha (RXRalpha) transfection plus treatment with the RXRalpha ligand, 9-cis-RA, on the proliferation and phenotype of platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) activated hepatic stellate cells (HSCs).
METHODSPDGF activated rat hepatic stellate cells were transfected with eukaryotic expression vector pcDNA3.1- human RXRalpha, and confirmed by Western blot. Proliferation of transfected HSC was assayed by bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) incorporation as well as MTT, and the phenotype (alpha-smooth muscle actin, desmin) was observed by immunocytochemistry with image analysis.
RESULTSTransfection of the RXRalpha gene and treatment with ligand 9-cis-RA of PDGF-activated HSCs extended the increased expression of RXRalpha protein for at least 168 hours. Cell proliferation and expressions of alpha- smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA) and desmin were blocked, compared with groups of sham-transfected, PDGF-activated, no transfection, no ligand treatment, and irrelevant ligand treated HSCs.
CONCLUSIONTransfection with the RXRalpha gene followed by 9-cis-RA ligand treatment will inhibit the proliferation and reverse the phenotype of activated HSC.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of nonsurgical methods in early postnatal correction of congenital auricle malformation. Methods:The clinical trials regarding non-surgical treatment for congenital ear deformity published before May 2021 were searched in databases of Cochrane Library, PubMed, Medline, CNKI, VIP and Wanfang. The information of included studies was extracted. The Meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.3 software. Results:A total of 15 trials were included, involving 1 349 patients. The Meta-analysis results showed that the effect of the group <6 weeks was better than the group over 6 weeks ( OR=4.67, 95% CI: 3.21, 6.78, Z=8.09, P<0.001); The complications incidence of the group < 6 weeks was lower than the group over 6 weeks ( OR=0.27, 95% CI: 0.08, 0.88, Z=2.18, P=0.03); The correction time required of the group <6 weeks was shorter than the group over 6 weeks ( MD=-11.81, 95% CI: -18.36, -5.26, Z=3.54, P=0.001). Conclusions:Non-surgical correction of congenital ear malformation within 6 weeks after birth has better efficacy and safety.

Objective To explore the predictors for the compliance of cigarette smokers who were acu-punctured for stopping smoking in Hong Kong. Methods Motivated daily smoking quitters were recrui-ted from the project of Plot Study of Acupuncture for Smoking Cessation conducted by Institute of Acu-puncture and Moxibustion of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Hong Kong Pok Oi Hospi-tal from August, 2010 to June, 2015. After comparing the subjects dropped out of the study with the ones completed it, the data of demography, smoking background, desire of smoking cessation were obtained.

0bjective To study the angular dependence of optically stimulated luminescent dosimeter (OSLD) with solid phantoms under SSDL radiation level 60Co radiation field, and to discuss the possibility of OSLD in volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and other rotating irradiation dose audit. Methods OSLDs were embedded in the two phantoms with the same size and material, respectively. The phantom 1 was set to make the first OSLD perpendicular to the beam, and the phantom 2 was set to make the second OSLD parallel to the beam. The OSLDs were irradiated at 8 angles: 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°, −45°, −90, −135°. The counts of the OSLSs were read and the response of each angle which normalized to 0° were calculated. Results When the OSLDs are perpendicular to the beam, the angular response is between −6.76% ~ +1.5%, with the maximum angular dependence at 90° and −90°. When the OSLDs are parallel to the beam, the angular response is between −1.74%~+1.67%, below 2%. Conclusion It is better to correct the sensitivity of dosimeters by Element Correction Factors (ECF) for dose audit. Under the condition of rotating irradiation, OSLD shoud be set parallel to the beam, which can better reduce the influence of angular dependence and facilitate further application research of VMAT dose audit.
