Objective To investigate the risk factors for ischemic stroke in Uygur population in Xinjiang, China. Methods Using a case-control study mode, 504 Uygur patients with first-ever ischemic stroke and 507 Uygur healthy subjects w ere investigated in accordance w ith the principle of the ethnic, sex, and age matching. The risk factors for ischemic stroke w ere screened. Results Multivariate logistic regres-sion analysis showed that the obesity (odds ratio [OR] 4.82, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.80-12.94;P=0.002), hypertension ( OR 8.20, 95%CI 4.93-13.51; P<0.001), and heart disease ( OR 2.40, 95%CI 1.07-5.39;P=0.033) w ere the independent risk factors for ischemic stroke in Uygurs. While the education level of junior high school or above ( OR 0.38, 95%CI 0.18-0.81;P=0.012), tea drinking habit ( OR 0.22, 95%CI0.06-0.70; P=0.021), siesta habit ( OR 0.38, 95%CI 0.24-0.59; P<0.001), high levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ( OR 0.34, 95%CI 0.20-0.59; P<0.001), and apolipoprotein A ( OR 0.23, 95%CI 0.07-0.77; P=0.017) were the protective factors for ischemic stroke. Conclusions The risk factors for ischemic stroke are more and typical in Uygur population in Xinjiang, China. Adjusting the diet structure of Uygurs, less taking meats and high-salt diet, intaking high fiber foods and fish, and appropriate physical exercise w il play an important role for the prevention of stroke in Uygur population.

Chinese Journal of Anesthesiology 2021;41(11):1303-1306
Objective:To evaluate the relationship between postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI) and preoperative dehydration in the patients undergoing surgery for gastrointestinal tumor. Methods:A total of 231 patients, of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical statusⅠ or Ⅱ, aged≥18 yr, undergoing elective surgery for gastrointestinal tumor with general anesthesia, were enrolled.Preoperative dehydration index was calculated according to preoperative urine color, specific gravity, osmotic pressure and creatinine.Preoperative dehydration was defined as dehydration index≥3.5.AKI was defined according to the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes criteria.Logistic regression analysis was conducted to assess the association between preoperative dehydration and postoperative AKI.Results:Of the 231 patients who met our inclusion criteria, 27 (11.7%) developed postoperative AKI, and 13 patients (48.1%) had preoperative dehydration among the patients developed postoperative AKI.The results of logistic analysis showed that preoperative dehydration was an independent risk factor for postoperative AKI in the patients undergoing surgery for gastrointestinal tumor ( OR=4.03, 95% confidence interval 1.72-9.39). Conclusion:Preoperative dehydration is an independent risk factor for postoperative AKI in the patients undergoing surgery for gastrointestinal tumor.

Objective:
To develop a method that can continuously monitor duration of students outdoor activities for a long time, so as to provide data support for the relationship between outdoor activity duration and students health.
Methods:
From April 28 to July 6, 2022, 1 168 students from a primary school in Shenzhen were selected. Fixed cameras were placed on the top of school classrooms, corridors and critical paths were used to identify student data and duration in the picture. And AI, cloud computing and other methods were used to measure students-non-classroom time instead of outdoor activity time in school.
Results:
The average length of time spend on outdoor activities in school of the 24 pilot classes were 67.6-113.0 min, and showed a downward trend by grade ( F =42.74, P <0.05). The duration of outdoor activities among students was negatively correlated with the detection rate of myopia and overweight( r =-0.74, -0.45, P <0.05).
Conclusion
The data on outdoor activity time calculated by AI image recognition is basically in line with the reality. Monitoring students outdoor activity time at school through AI image recognition is feasible and popularized.

Objective: We aimed to determine the epidemiological characteristics of asymptomatic AF in elder community population (≥65 years old) to analyze the detection rate of different screening methods. Methods: The study was a prospective cohort study. The elder (≥65 years old) residents who voluntarily participated in free physical examination in Dalian community were selected. The participants were randomly divided into screening group (including intensive screening group and single screening group) and control group. The control group received interrogation, medical history collection and routine 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) examination. Screening group received an additional single-lead ambulatory ECG equipment worn for 5-7 days. Intensive screening group received two equal-length wearings in 2020 and 2021 respectively, while one screening group only wore once in 2020. Results: Finally 3 340 residents ((70.7±5.0) years old) which consisted of 1 488 males (44.55%) were enrolled. There were 1 945 residents in screening group, including 859 in intensive screening group and 1 086 in one-time screening group. The control group included 1 395 people. Detection rate of asymptomatic AF was significantly higher in screening group than control group (79(4.06%) vs. 24(1.72%), P<0.001). Higher detection rate was found in screening group than control group in AF risk factors (1 or 2-3) subgroups and CHA2DS2-VASc score (2-3 or≥4) subgroups (P<0.05). Additionally, no difference was found between intensive screening group and single screening group (42(4.89%) vs. 37(3.41%), P=0.100). Intensive screening increased detection rate (7(6.93%) vs. 1(0.58%), P=0.009) only in residents those with low thrombosis risk (CHA2DS2-VaSc<2). Conclusions: Screening in elderly (≥65 years old) can significantly improve the detection rate of asymptomatic AF by wearing single lead dynamic ECG device. The rate increased significantly with the increase of risk factors associated with AF by single screening. In addition, repeat screening of the same method may only improve detection rates in the group with low risk thrombotic scores and non-combination of AF risk factors.Screening methods that are appropriate for different populations may require further exploration.
