Objective To explore the effect of percutaneous interventional radiofrequency thermocoagulation target ablation combined with nerve block in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, and to provide reference for clinical application. Methods Randomly selected from May 2015 to May 2017 treatment of lumbar disc herniation in 150 cases, according to the different treatment methods were divided into observation group and control group. The observation group of 78 cases, including percutaneous interventional radiofrequency thermocoagulation target ablation combined with nerve block treatment; the control group of 72 cases, simply accept the nerve block treatment. The degree of lumbar dysfunction was evaluated by Osw estry Lumbar Dysfunction Index (ODI) before and after treatment. The efficacy of the two groups was evaluated by modified MacNab score. Adverse reactions were observed during the two groups. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups. After 2 weeks of treatment, the scores of ODI were significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.05). The ODI score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The effective rate was 96.2% (75/78) and the excellent and good rate was 91.03% (71/78). The effective rate was 90.28% (65/72) and the excellent and good rate was 65.28% (47/72). The excellent and good rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). There were no significant adverse reactions in the two groups. Conclusion Percutaneous interventional radiofrequency thermocoagulation target ablation combined with nerve block treatment of lumbar disc herniation significantly, high safety.

Neonatal mortality has been significantly decreased because of the development of neo-natal respiratory support techniques. Nevertheless,constant and high frequency ventilators have some limita-tions to solve all problems in neonatal respiratory failure. Special mechanical ventilation,mainly including he-liox and partial liquid ventilation,provides new respiratory support for newborn infants. The clinical signifi-cance of heliox and partial liquid ventilation need further investigation.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of amplitude integrated electroencephalogram on early diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of brain injury caused by neonatal asphyxia.Methods A total of 34 full-term asphyxiated neonates(asphyxia group)hospitalized in NICU of our hospital from January 2015 to September 2015 were selected;meanwhile,34 full-term healthy infants(control group)of the same term were selected.All cases were monitored for the activities of aEEG background,sleep-awakening cycle(SWC)and epileptic activity(SA)within 6 hours after birth.Meanwhile,the relationships between various indexes and asphyxia degree and brain injury were analyzed.Results The electroencephalogram of the asphyxia group was 52.9％and the rate of SWC was 58.8％,which were lower than those of the control group,and the difference had statistic significance(P<0.05).Meanwhile,neonates with epileptic activity in asphyxia group accounted for 11.8％,which was higher than that of control group significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion The AEEG changes of neonates at early period after birth are closely related to perinatal asphyxia and brain injury after asphyxia.The application of amplitude integrated electroencephalogram has an important significance on early diagnosis of neonatal asphyxia.

BACKGROUND:Bone marrow mesenchyme stem cells are important non-hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow, which can stimulate angiogenesis. While, Slit can also stimulate angiogenesis, as many studies have proved. OBJECTIVE:To review the biological functions, clinical application and effects of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and Slit2 on promoting angiogenesis. METHODS:A computer-based online research of CNKI and PubMed databases was performed to col ect articles published between 1980 and 2014 with the keywords“MSCs”and“Slit2”in Chinese and English. There were 436 articles after the initial survey. Final y, 65 articles were included according inclusion and exclusion criteria. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Both bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and Slit2 play an important role in promoting angiogenesis, but the relevance of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and Slit2 is stil controversial. If assuming that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells secrete Slit2, more researches should be done to reveal whether bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells promoting angiogenesis is relevant to Slit2 and through which signaling pathway Slit2/Robo functions to adjust bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells thus to promote angiogenesis. If relevant, the transplantation of the Slit2 and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells wil be a promising treatment of cerebral infarction and other central nervous injuries.

Objective To establish subcutaneous xenograft models of gastric cancer in nude mice and to screen the predictive biomarkers of bevacizumab effectiveness. Methods Subcutaneous xenograft models were established using BGC823 gastric cancer cell line in 20 male 4-week old BALB/C-nu/nu nude mice and were randomly divided into four groups, bevacizumab group (15 mg/kg), 5-FU group (15 mg/kg), combined group and control group, with 5 mice in each group. Bevacizumab and 5-FU were administered intraperitoneally every other day for three weeks. After treatment , tumor size and inhibition rate were calculated. Expression of CD31 was examined by immunohistochemistry for evaluation of microvascular density (MVD). Levels of human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), placental growth factor (PIGF) and interleukin 8 (IL-8) were tested by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results Compared to the control group, bevacizumab group and combined group had a significantly lower MVD (5.2±1.0 and 4.3±1.2 vs. 13.8 ±1.6, P<0.05), a smaller tumor volume [(305.6 ±184.1) mm3 and (242.2 ±71.4) mm3 vs. (1535.2 ±625.1) mm3, P<0.05], and lower levels of VEGF and IL-8 in tumor tissues [VEGF:(351.6±84.1) ng/L and (242.2±71.4) ng/L vs. (1256.7±702.1) ng/L, P<0.05); IL-8:(20 903± 1485) ng/L and (27 489±6772) ng/L vs. (57 032±2437) ng/L, P<0.05]. The above parameters were not significantly different between 5-FU group and control group (all P>0.05). Levels of bFGF and IGF were not significantly different among four groups as well (all P>0.05). Conclusion VEGF and IL-8 may be used to be biomarkers candidates to predict bevacizumab effectiveness on human gastric cancer.

Although chromosomal mosaic embryos detected by trophectoderm(TE)biopsy offer healthy embryos available for transfer,high-resolution postnatal karyotyping and chromosome testing of the transferred embryos are insufficient.Here,we applied single-cell multi-omics sequenc-ing for seven infants with blastula chromosomal mosaicism detected by TE biopsy.The chromo-some ploidy was examined by single-cell genome analysis,with the cellular identity being identified by single-cell transcriptome analysis.A total of 1616 peripheral leukocytes from seven infants with embryonic chromosomal mosaicism and three control ones with euploid TE biopsy were analyzed.A small number of blood cells showed copy number alterations(CNAs)on seem-ingly random locations at a frequency of 0％-2.5％per infant.However,none of the cells showed CNAs that were the same as those of the corresponding TE biopsies.The blastula chromosomal mosaicism may be fully self-corrected,probably through the selective loss of the aneuploid cells dur-ing development,and the transferred embryos can be born as euploid infants without mosaic CNAs corresponding to the TE biopsies.The results provide a new reference for the evaluations of trans-ferring chromosomal mosaic embryos in certain situations.
